While we’re glad you found the location excellent and the home itself enjoyable, we also want to clearly and transparently address the concerns you raised. First and foremost, the hot water heater failure was an unfortunate and disruptive mechanical issue, and we fully acknowledge the impact it had on your stay. This was not a recurring problem at the home, but an unexpected system failure that escalated when the unit began leaking. Once identified, our team coordinated emergency plumbing services and responded on-site repeatedly to ensure a safe and permanent repair. While this did result in increased service visits, these were necessary to fully resolve the issue rather than apply a temporary fix. Regarding the area beneath the rug, there was no active mold issue present at the home. Out of an abundance of caution, once the leak occurred, our team immediately addressed moisture remediation and professionally cleaned and treated the affected area. We take any environmental concerns seriously and investigate them thoroughly. On household supplies, Latitude Key provides clearly defined starter quantities at each property, which are communicated in advance and intended to cover initial guest needs. Because usage varies significantly from one group to another, we do not attempt to guess a “one-size-fits-all” amount for longer stays. It’s worth noting that most guests consistently describe our supply offerings — including toiletries, linens, and towels — as generous. Latitude Key manages a portfolio of homes across three categories: Homes, Residences, and Villas. Each tier offers the same 24/7/365 guest support, concierge access, and fast on-site response, with Villas receiving an expanded amenity and supply model during the stay. This home falls within our Residence category, and the supplies provided align with that tier’s clearly stated expectations. Several of the other points you mentioned — including acoustics, privacy, and airflow — are inherent to the home’s open-concept layout and are accurately reflected in the listing details. This style of design works exceptionally well for many groups, and we encourage future guests who prioritize sound isolation to consider this when selecting a property. We also regret any misalignment around vendor scheduling and communication. While service visits were necessary to resolve the mechanical issue promptly, clearer advance notice should have been provided, and we have since reinforced internal protocols to ensure guests are notified ahead of any non-emergency entry. Throughout your stay, our team remained available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with both on-staff support agents and in-house maintenance personnel able to respond quickly and in person. While the situation required more interaction than anyone would prefer, we remained fully engaged and committed to resolving concerns as efficiently as possible.
