To me the pictures of all the bedrooms view was misleading. I thought all were beach views. I had emailed host or owner about the cancellations because of the tropical depresion and never heard anything from them.

The property was nice and as advertised. The images online appear as if the bedrooms have ocean views, they do not. The staff is great. The property is very nice. As a "guest/renter," you have to wear plastic wristbands, like at a carnival, the whole time. This was very annoying, scratches you while you sleep and really upset the ladies when we dressed nicely for our dinners, as they are bright green plastic. It would be preferred if this was something we could remove when off the property.

The condo and views are great! The yellow interior is a bit bright...but we got used to it. The balconies are amazing. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are updated nicely. We appreciated being able to book tents and chairs in advance on the beach--that's a great service. The elevators at the condo have always been an issue. We've been coming here for over 25 years. It would be great if that could be resolved.

What a View!

The room had some nice views, but the trip started off with it being impossible to figure out how the showers worked, and they had no instructions within the bathroom.They advertise a heated pool, but it was not heated, even the hot tub wasn’t that hot. A resident who lives at this location told us they turned down the heat on the pool during the week and only run it on the weekends to save money.Only two of the three elevators were working when we got there and we ended up for a period where we only had one elevator for the entire 12 floors of this location? That’s a lot of waiting when you’re on the 12th floor.The beaches were like sand “concrete” from the water all the way to the dunes, not like a beach at all!I reported all these things to the front desk and they assured me they passed it along, but I never heard from anyone in management as to the situations we were running into during the entire stay (still haven’t).I absolutely do not recommend this hotel (condominiums) to anyone unless they go in and address all the issues they have.

This time we were celebrating our son and a grandson's birthday and needed a larger rental. I cannot explain how wonderful #1200 is. the pictures don't do it justice. windows on three sides of the condo gave us a complete panoramic view of the east side of Galveston Island, not just the beach. The channel, the tip, the beach and marsh areas. It was absolutely stunning! Every morning watching the ships go out, the ferry to Bolivar, the sunrise and the tides were spectacular! The beach in the front is kept very clean. The grounds are well kept. We will be returning again! You must see these views!

Great place to stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: April was a perfect time, less crowds etc. and although very windy I loved that is was cool and cloudy the days we were there. My only complaints with the unit was no bathroom in the King bedroom which seems odd. Both showers have a dangerous step and nothing to hold onto stepping in or out. This could be a real safety hazard for young and old guests. The views on both balconies were amazing.

It was nearly remodeled, kitchen was superb, all new appliances and very clean.The views are amazing in these three bedroom units. It’s well worth going to three bedrooms because of all the room you have in the unit. The Galvestonian itself was also a wonderful experience. The front desk people are very responsive and very helpful. I am a repeat customer and will continue to come back.

Our favorite was the view to the east along the beach and into the Bay as well as out to the ocean, of course. And to be eye level with the pelicans was unreal! The unit was great - had everything we needed from a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and living area. we also enjoyed the hot tub, pool and the easy beach access. So nice not to have to cross a road to get there. Thank you for all!

Saved our Trip!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had originally booked another location and it was not operational the day we arrived. After scrambling a bit I called the Galvestonian and Anna was so very helpful finding us the perfect unit for our stay. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The facility is decorated beautifully, the lobby is comfortable, the pool is nice with plenty of chairs and tables. The boardwalk to the beach is also very convenient. Our unit was also nicely decorated with stunning views from the balconies. It was very clean and well stocked. The only reason for the 4 stars is because we didn’t have window coverings in one of the bedrooms. We will definitely be back!
