Great property in a good location and the host was good to communicate with.
The internet was slow (understandably given it is not in the city), but enough to do basic tasks and YouTube on the TV in the living room worked surprisingly well.
We had an amazing time with friends and will likely come back again.
Our group goes to Baker often, whether it be for skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer time. We have stayed in other cabins before but this one was absolutely perfect and by far our favorite stay! During our stay we were able to complete two wonderful hikes nearby. We first hiked Heliotrope trail which provided an amazing view of Mount Baker. The second hike we completed was Yellow Aster Butte which was also an amazing hike. The hot tub was perfect especially after a dayâs long hike. We also especially enjoyed cooking dinner together and eating in the large dining room. There are also restaurants nearby (Chair 9 is walking distance) if you donât feel like cooking. Our group already has plans to come back to this cabin again!
When we got to the cabin, the first thing we thought was how cozy it was. Our group of friends go every year to Baker and we loved the spot and the cabin. Awesome place!
We had a great relaxing ski vacation with another family . It was so close to Mt Baker ski area and a wonderful hot tub.
We had 2 young kids and they loved the âcabinâ for the weekend.
We had the perfect ladies weekend getaway!! It was super easy to get to this property out the Mount Baker Highway and since we werenât sure what time we would arrive it was convenient to pick up the key from the lock box. The house had plenty of space for us - 3 bedrooms! The kitchen worked well - we brought groceries and liked being able to cook our meals there. Loved relaxing by the fireplace on the super comfy couch. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub! This was a highlight for sure! We hiked the Horseshoe Bend trail which was only a 5 minute drive to get to. We also liked exploring the Snowline area and took a walk right from the cabin, Nooksack River was beautiful! Close to the cute town of Glacier - we were happy to go to the coffee shop in the morning and also walked from the cabin to Chair 9 for pizza dinner. We will be back for skiing and in summer with the kids - the pool and playground look really nice. There seemed like plenty to explore around here and so quiet and relaxing that it made it hard to leave at the end of our stay.
We loved our time spent with another family (four kids altogether) at this sweet cabin. We were greeted by consistent communication with the manager/owner via text and email, and they were even so sweet to leave us a Valentine's housewarming gift upon entry. It was clean, well cared for, and the hot tub was just about ready for us to jump in when we got there! Nice to be up in the woods, even though the semi-steep driveway isn't for anyone without four-wheel drive when there's snow (though you can park one car or so at the bottom). The rooms are small, but just enough room. Nice clean carpets, and all the amenities/pots/pans provided, though no spices, so bring your own! Loved the VHS and DVD selection and games provided - the kids had a blast watching some true gems from my childhood! It would be nice if the owner would send a list of the movies or at least games so that we parents don't bring double just a suggestion (Also helps that they can watch their tv, and us adults could be in the hot tub with a clear view of our kids through the window back into the cabin whilst relaxing - I think whomever built this cabin must have had kids....) smart.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the holidays in this cozy but spacious cabin on a little hill in snowline. We slept and fed 4 adults and 4 kids comfortably. The hot tub under the trees and the gas fireplace with comphy couches were great, as well as the basement games room (and community center) to send the kids for some peace and quiet. Jjo was very responsive. All in all a great trip.
Excellent Cabin. Well maintained with new hot tub. Open space to hang out, and lots of beds to sleep in. Highly recommend for larger groups.
Perfect location. Drive up to Mt Baker and ski / snowboard during the day, and hang out at Chair 9 restaurant / bar at night.
Our friends and family truly enjoyed staying at this quiet cabin during our weekend getaway. The cabin provided ease of access to both the upper and lower ski lodge at Mt. Baker.
The owner was very knowledgeable and provided advice in getting to and from the mountain. We were also able to complete a couple of different hikes in the area during our stay. Clean cabin, great location and dealing with the owner was super easy. I recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a Baker getaway! I will definitely be staying at this cabin again!
Our family really enjoyed exploring the Mt Baker hiking trails, and this cabin made the whole experience so much better as we rolled in at the end of the day. The accommodations were perfect, for family time, cooking, and resting. Thanks to JJ for all the tips and patience with our many questions.
We brought the whole family and everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin provided a nice home base for relaxing and family gathering where we cooked meals and relaxed in the living room or played in the game room. The community area provided a get away for the kids with a heated pool, fishing, and play grounds which was a easy walk or fun bike away. Then, of course, we explored Mt Baker through a few hikes along the rivers and up the mountain to see the awesome cascade mountain views. We are coming back, and may even try the skiing this year, as we heard Mt Baker is a hidden secret. Thanks to the owners for making it so easy.
The cabin was just around the block from the rest of our family group, so the location was perfect! We had lots of snow during our stay and felt extremely cozy. The place was super clean, plenty of blankets and towels. Having two full bathrooms was a genuine luxury.
The gas fireplace was wonderful, the kitchen was well-equipped and we loved the skylights, especially in the bathroom. My husband took a dip in the hot tub after two long days of skiing at Baker. Plenty of room for us 4 adults and all our gear. Loved the alpine decor, big beams, etc.
Watch out for the room beams over the upstairs beds. My brothers are both tall men, and one of them hit his head pretty hard despite knowing better!
Info for the owners: the drain stopper/strainer in the kitchen should be replaced, as it has lost a nut or something. Doesn't work properly. I can't vouch for the upstairs bed, but the one on the main floor wasn't very comfortable for me (as an older lady). Would be fine for a teenager!
Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful mountain nest!

We really enjoyed this cabin for a quick getaway to Mt. Baker. It's in a community that's super convenient to he mountain and the town of Glacier (including Chair 9 which is great for drinks and dinner after you're done on the slopes).
The wifi and hot tub were two of our must haves and the both worked without a hitch.
Highly recommend!
The cabin worked out perfect for a weekend of skiing up at Baker. Our friends and I appreciated the friendly hosts who provided all the information needed to get settled in the cabin, and then some good tips such as getting to the mountain early to hit the first runs of the skiing day.
Great cabin for the family and was very close to all that Mt Baker has to offer
Wow, we really had a wonderful time with the family. The cabin was perfect with all the amenities we had hoped for, which kept the whole family happy. The fireplace made for relaxing evening of reading or movies. The hot tub made for a soothing break after a day hike. The snowline community was very private so our kids freely rode bikes to the play ground and fishing pond. The nearby Chair9 pub provided a nice get away for the parents at the end of the evening as well. We can't wait to come back, once the skiing season begins. Thanks to JJ for making our stay great.
My coworkers and I had a wonderful stay here! There is plenty of room and the scenery is gorgeous! The perfect spot for a little R&R... not to mention amazing skiing and snowboarding very close by :) The hosts are incredibly nice and provided all the info we needed.
