Good place, post-stay stress
There is a stain on the carpet. Host has informed us a previous guest had a similar stain in the same spot but it was definitely a ânew oneâ. We didnât have pictures of the property upon entering because we got distracted by the delayed check in and the host seemed kind and trustworthy when dealing with that issue (She refunded one night and gave us a bottle of wine, which we sadly had to throw out as we didnât have a corkscrew). Charging us for brand new carpet which was already stained per host. Probably charged previous guest too. I didnât appreciate the accusatory tone when requesting payment. Host had to meet us and therefore at least saw my sisterâs red hair. Yet stated we dyed our hair at the property. Didnât check to see the towel that was thrown out was not her own but a cheap one we bought on the trip. I had no problem paying for bedding that may have been stained despite our efforts. Host stated we disappointed her despite her kindness in issuing us a refund and gifting us wine. It was a nice place aside from that issue. The only things of note aside from that are the door was glass by the bed which was odd, parking would be at the bottom of a hill if not allowed to park in driveway and the shower doesnât have a door by design. Do yourself a favor and note any and all minor issues upon entering. Rental agreement and Vrbo policies donât protect you. Take pictures and try other booking sites.
