Charming Creekside Cabin next to 4 Mile Creek with mountain views. Dog friendly!
Native cottonwood trees and 4 Mile Creek surround you with the sights and sounds of nature and tranquility. Relax in comfortable wicker chairs as the sun rises to greet you on your covered front porch. Prepare your favorite breakfast in the full kitchen and take your pick of all the adventures the area has to offer. Head off to the Arkansas River Trail just minutes away where you can hike, bike and walk the dog along a wide gravel trail. Take in the beautiful farmland, pastures and natural wooded areas all around you. The Royal Gorge Park with its suspension bridge and train are just an 8 minute drive from the cabin. This area is well known for white water rafting, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing. The secluded, private cabin is just minutes away from historic downtown Canon City. Main street offers many unique shops, architecture, restaurants, art galleries, breweries, roof top dining and the St. Abby's Winery. The city has lots of activities from antique car shows, to street fairs and music festivals. After a long day, grill out front and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Wet Mountains. On a clear night sit on the bench by the creek while the stargazing and rushing water combine to create wonderful memories. Build a fire in the brick fire ring on the beach area and roast marshmallows. (Check fire ban status with Canon City Fire Dept at (719) 275-8666.) Inside the cozy cabin, relax on the dual recliner sofa before retiring upstairs to a large bedroom with 2 queen size beds. Let the sound of the creek lull you into a good nightâs sleep. Note: The stairs are very steep. Light switches are at the top and bottom along with handrails. Please consider this for young children under 13 and adults with limited mobility.
Wonderful cozy cabin with all the extras! Great location, comfy beds and pillows, full kitchen and laundry! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this little paradise! The host was very friendly and thoughtful. Great stay and we will definitely come back!!!
My stay was amazing! Shari was so sweet and welcoming, and the space was warm, comfortable, and in a beautiful location - perfect to be just a few minutes from the center of town, and also with the perfect amount of solitude near the stream, with a gorgeous mountain view.
Great little getaway. No issues with check in. Place was immaculate and well stocked with even coffee and snacks. Host was excellent and there was so much attention to even the smallest details. You can tell they really want you to enjoy your time there. Would highly recommend and if we return to the area I would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is quiet and plenty spacious, well equipped and clean. The occasional train passes nearby, and the sound of the creek was very pleasant. Be aware that the stairs to the bedroom are very steep if you have mobility challenges.
Shari & Mike are fantastic hosts! We felt so welcomed again & had everything we needed. They're especially good at the small touches that make the cabin top notch, like making sure the temperature was cool & comfortable when we arrived on a particularly hot day, having all we needed for s'mores, and welcoming touches. Shari gave us great inside tips on local spots. We're so glad we got to come back!
We were impressed with the charm of this cabin and the surroundings. We were not able to stay both nights as planned due to a family emergency, but our hosts were very gracious to us. We would definitely return to this vacation rental.
Great stay in fun cabin. Shari and Mike are very welcoming and are great hosts. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch next to the creek, comfortable bed and it was nice and clean. We will be back.
This is a cute, well-maintained little cabin on the outskirts of town next to a creek. Mountains in the distance. No traffic. Easy, private access. Clean and cozy!
Cabin has everything you need for a great stay. Mike and Shari live on property which makes it easy to get items resolved and secure local information, if you desire it. Shari makes a mean zucchini bread and Mike bravely removed a hornets nest off the deck. Stairs to the bedroom are very steep and folks with limited mobility should seek other accommodations. I recommend the following - Skyline Drive (3 mile drive on crest of mountain overlooking Cañon City; no guardrails), Old Tunnel Trail, Harding on Main, Pizza Madness and Fremont Provisions. I hope everybody enjoys their stay as much as we did.
What a perfect getaway! The scenery, the sound of the creek, the wildlife, the fire pit, and the horses were just a few of the perks we encountered this past weekend at the Creekside Cabin! This property may look small, but is much bigger than it looks. Very cozy and modern. Everything was so clean, and the linens smelled amazing! Loved loved loved our stay there! We will be back! Thank you, Shari!
the cabin was fine other than the stairs. They are very steep and difficult to go up or down. Especially in the middle of the night to go the bathroom. That fact should be in the description. We are in our 70's and the stairs were dangerous for us. The creek was awesome to sit beside, and we saw wildlife and loved the location! We would stay again if not for the stairs
Cabin was perfect size, it offered everything we needed. The area was calm and quiet, and the babbling creek made morning coffee so relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabing was so clean. Definitely an A plus place!
We loved staying in this awesome creekside cabin. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the creek sound and birds and even deer in the mornings. The owners provided everything we needed, even left us snacks! Will definitely stay here again.
This property is perfectly located for privacy and yet close to all the conveniences. The owners are super nice people. We can't wait for our next visit there - hopefully soon! Thank you so much to Shari and Mike for sharing their lovely little cabin.
Peaceful and relaxing, yet close to it all! Comfy beds and a full kitchen. Sit on the covered front porch with the river flowing next to you, mountain view in the background while you grill up a nice dinner! The hosts are wonderful people. Incredibly kind!
Our family wanted to stay near Canon City to be closer to our kids' summer camp. This getaway turned out to be so much better than we'd thought possible. Shari and Mike were so thoughtful and easy to work with, communicating well and leaving lots of little touches to make us feel even more welcome. Our kids especially loved the snack and s'mores baskets! I really appreciated that everything we needed was ready to go at the cabin. We enjoyed seeing fish in the creek, roasting s'mores, and using the outdoor grill. Inside we were able to relax both upstairs and downstairs, with lots of puzzles and games and a tv with many viewing options. It was spacious enough upstairs to use our queen-sized air mattress as well as the two queen beds. The handrails are very sturdy, so we felt safe using the steep stairs. The full-sized washer and dryer were very convenient.
In addition to enjoying the property itself, the location was great. It felt private and away from it all, but was a very easy drive for exploring Canon City, the Royal Gorge, and tubing a stretch of the Arkansas River.
Would totally recommend Creekside Cabin - my son said it's the best place he's ever stayed in Colorado!
