Welcome to Acorn Cottage, your perfect getaway at Deep Creek Lake! Nestled in the picturesque Lake Shore neighborhood, this charming two-story vacation home offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests.

As you step inside, you'll find a spacious living room featuring a large sectional sofa, perfectly angled around a stunning stone gas fireplace and a large Smart TV—ideal for cozy evenings. The kitchen, equipped with all-white appliances and ample counter space, invites you to prepare delicious meals. For casual dining, the bar counter seating is perfect, while the traditional dining table offers a space for everyone to gather and share meals.

Kitchen fully stocked. Fireplace in a great location. Beds very comfortable. Master bedroom has a nice fireplace that keeps the room warm. I recommend staying here.

Great place to stay!

We had a great time at Acorn Cottage! The house was perfect for our girls weekend. Close to activities and the water. Clean and spacious. Would definitely stay again!

Annual summer friend retreat

Our group really enjoyed the peace and quiet of Acorn Cottage. With views of the water and a lovely patio, it's a perfect get away. Spacious and cozy at the same time, other features include a hot tub and fire pit. Highly recommend it.

House is as advertised. Very cute and homey. Comfortable, plenty of room for a family, could use a new refrigerator but not much to complain about. Had everything you’d need in the kitchen. Beautiful view from the deck, great location. Was very clean and had starter paper products which I appreciated. I would definitely stay again!

A great stay

The house was clean and everything was as described in the listing. We appreciated the Christmas decorations! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook meals at home.

Our only issue is we had no idea the road right before the driveway was so steep and damaged. We found a road off ot it to the side that was much safer for our vehicles. Otherwise it was an amazing stay! Thank you again!

Cute house

The place was big enough for 2 families and we enjoyed the hot tub. There was a dead rat though as soon as we walked in. I’m sure the outdoor spaces are hard to keep clean with all the trees around but I would have appreciated an initial clean as the decks and firepit chairs were pretty dirty.

The property was great! Close to everything we had on our agenda for the weekend. And, the amenities were great too! Recommend that for the price of 2 nights we actually get a full 48 hours in the place. Check in after 4 pm on Friday then check out Sunday at 10 am?! Having to pay an additional 75 to extend 1-2 hours for check out is outrageous. Full 48 hours should be considered when renting just for the weekend and not during prime season. Thank you.

Pros:The house was cozy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fireplaces, fire pit and hot tub. The outdoor property was well kept and had a variety of seating places.We liked the area because of proximity to State Parks and restaurants. Cons: We wish we were told that there was a road behind the house with easy access to parking spots. Upon arrival we had difficulty driving up the front on the steep driveway with the bike rack on the car. We had lake views as promised but no lake access from the house because all of the lake front was private property. The only community access to the lake was at the state park which was a 10 minute drive away. Fortunately it wasn’t swimming season.The host provided a variety of spices in the kitchen and one roll of paper towels. There was only a single serving of liquid dish soap and dishwasher detergent, no laundry detergent, shampoo or coffee. There was not enough toilet paper. A week before checking in we were told that we would have to provide these items. This is very inconvenient when traveling to a vacation destination. This has never happened to us in all of our history of staying at rental properties.

Perfect for a Weekend Stay

Our group really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a long weekend and the house had all of the necessary amenities. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. The driveway at this property is VERY steep. Thankfully we had 4 wheel drive and didn’t have any issues making it up; however, it would have been helpful to know there was a separate parking area at the top of the property prior to arrival. The separate parking area was much easier to access.

Great place to stay

This property was exactly as described in the ad. It was gorgeous. Kitchen was well stocked. It was very clean. Furniture was very comfortable. All the beds were comfortable. We loved the deck and fire pit areas. Close enough to restaurants and shopping. We would absolutely stay here again. The only thing we'd like to see different is a king size bed in the master suite. And one of the bedrooms didn't have any window dressings.
