John's lakefront cottage as truly a retreat. The house was well appointed and the setting was lovely. We would love to return. What a great spot.

House was perfect. Clean and comfortable with everything you could need or want. Very thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Really enjoyed the patio area with fire pit. We ate our meals on the covered porch and table on the patio as well as indoor dining area. Roomy interior on both floors made it very comfortable. Fantastic location close to many interesting and beautiful venues.Thank you for a lovely get away!

It is clear the host takes pride I their property! Every details has been attended to, making our stay exceptionally comfortable and convenient. The waterfront is beautiful and easily accessible. We’ve already booked again for next summer.

Great family Fall trip at the lake. Very nice cottage & location with nice private back yard. The view of the lake from the fire pit & dock was excellent.

This is our second trip to this property and we love it! The home is comfortable and homey, but the outdoor space is what keeps us coming back. The dock is a wonderful place to start and end your day with comfortable chairs, umbrellas and beautiful view of the lake. We especially enjoy exploring the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards that are provided.

Perfect Place to Relax and Recharge - July 2025

We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this property to others.The property was very clean and well maintained.Everything was exactly as pictured and described. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. This location is perfect for a lake vacation and We would definitely book it again.

Absolutely incredible vacation home!

We have rented in many places, and this was our favorite experience. The spot on the lake was lovely. The home was very clean and very well stocked. We were able to meet the host, who in addition to being extremely prompt in all communications, was also kind and friendly and generous.

Wonderful!

We had an absolutely phenomenal family vacation. The property and amenities were perfect. The cottage was set up amazingly well, with lots of thoughtful touches for optimum comfort. Our two labs loved the water and the property allowed us to relax even though they were with us. We will definitely be back!

It was perfect. We had all sorts of plans for excursions in the area but we ended up never leaving the house. With our boat and a perfect spot on the lake, we didn’t need anything else. John had great communication. Check-in was easy and house was well stocked with linens. We were sad to leave.

Beautiful property

Check-in and communication from the owner was awesome and easy. The home is perfect… right in the middle of a camp and a year round house. The property is huge with a very large dock that you can fish from… my son caught his first one! The beds are comfortable and we really loved staying there. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be booking here again.

We loved this incredible classic lake home

We celebrated my husband’s 70 th birthday party at this gorgeous lakefront home. It was open, airy, bright and clean. I can’t say enough about how pristine and roomy the home and property were for our family gathering. We have decided to return next summer for at least a week as this was only a 2 night stay . Loved , loved , loved this relaxing retreat!

A great find!

This cozy cottage was well kept, and the host was very accommodating and easy to reach. The views were amazing! We took full advantage of the kayaks and paddleboards, as well as the fire ring and new grill. The porch was also a perfect place to cuddle up and catch up with family on the rainy night. This is everything we were hoping for in a lake house!

We left wishing we had stayed longer! The property was in good condition, the lake was particularly quiet, and we felt well-equipped through our stay. John was an excellent host and proactive in his communication with us throughout the process. Would return in a heartbeat.

Amazing Outdoor Space!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this cozy cottage. John is an amazing host who even shared his streaming service account so we could watch football! Everything is comfortable in the home with every amenity provided. We spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor space, especially the chairs on the dock and kayaks! We’ve already booked our return stay for next year!9

Beautiful lakefront property

Beautiful property located on Owasco Lake. The lake front is amazing and the pictures reflect very well just how wonderful it is! Very peaceful. Shallow water area and large lot, great for children and dogs. Conveniently located close to Auburn and Skaneateles. Owner is very responsive. Great back porch where we enjoyed all our meals. Highly recommend.

Owasco Paradise

This was my third visit to the Finger Lakes and by far my favorite rental. The cottage was adorable and tastefully furnished. Great living space indoors, out on the porch, and by the lake. Had a hiccup on arrival that was remediated by fast responsiveness with the owner. The area was also my favorite of all the lakes explored. You are within 15-20” of everything. I will definitely be recommending this cottage to friends and family!

Kids never once said they were bored

This is a true lake house. Property is right on the east side of the lake, water is crystal clear and sunsets are amazing. Where the property sits is almost in a cove with a rock bottom in about 4 feet of calm water. The cottage was as advertised, ample space for the people we had. It was clean and welcoming. The kayaks were an added bonus!!

Owasco Lake Cottage

Our excitement finding this Cottage, (available) for our dates, was only exceeded upon arrival. From accuracy of description, to cleanliness, & LOCATION!!!…(on a very private loop road). We could not have been more pleased. John answered all of my questions and offered insights into the area. We will certainly return. Thanks John!

The perfect family nautical retreat!

We stayed at John’s place for 6 nights in June and had nothing short of an incredible experience with so many memories to look back on. The house itself is beautifully and simply decorated in a fun nautical theme that really makes you feel like you are on a lake escape! The space was ample for two families with small children and we all felt very comfortable. We would recommend bringing a baby gate or two for any little ones still learning to climb stairs. The yard calls for yard games and creates a perfect playground for kids and adults alike! The rocky beach is perfect for exploration; you will want to spend every minute on the patio or at the waters edge! John was a wonderful host and very easy to communicate with. We just can’t say enough about this incredible property and hope you and your family enjoy it as much as we did!
