We also appreciate your comments about the location and the amenities that worked well for you. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you encountered, particularly with the exterior of the building and the mildew smell inside. We understand how off-putting that must have been, and we take your concerns seriously. To clarify, the comforters are washed before each stay, and we recently replaced the master bed from a full to a queen, along with purchasing new comforters. The vinegar-like smell you noticed could be from the new comforters, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this caused. We are so sorry to hear about the ants. As this is the first time we've had this problem we immediately reached out to our pest control service. They mentioned that this year’s summer has been extra rainy which floods their underground nests, forcing them to seek higher, drier ground for shelter. Rain also disrupts their outdoor food sources, making the inside of a home—with its abundance of crumbs and other food scraps a more attractive alternative. We recommend keeping food put away to help avoid attracting them, but were assured that as the rain slows there shouldn't be an issue.
