Great Place, very quiet, close to several small towns. Does not have curtains in living room or kitchen, so no privacy but I adjusted and felt at home after the 2nd day. I felt like we were at home, came and left. Great place if you plan to not stay all day, mattressâs not to comfy, except master room- very soft. Seems like they are still upgrading the house, Definitely a great place to stay, Iâd stay again,
Lovely location but property was not clean; beds uncomfortable.
The beds are âbox bedsâ without frames and very low to floor. Fitted sheet did not stay in place because of mattress design and sheets were old. Place was not clean beyond surface cleaning and obvious remodel was not finished properly ( sheet covered closet entrance and ran into bedroom door). Kitchen was nice but owner did not supply paper products or dish towels. Several major windows did not have blinds so felt exposed at night. Couch was broken and weird sitting. No instructions as to wifi and tv remote had a cover on it that needs to go. Generally, it needs some TLC and to be finished properly.
The property has potential, but isn't outfitted for a longer stay. The kitchen has limited items for cooking: no mixing bowl, measuring cup, or measuring spoons, no basic spices except salt. The oven didn't work. No paper towels provided. The coffee pot is very small. All the kitchen drawers were dirty & sticky. I cleaned them out before feeling comfortable putting groceries in. The floors weren't clean when we arrived. The master bedroom mattresses are on the floor, and there's a small side table. That's it. The full bed in one other bedroom has a very thin futon mattress on it. The laundry room is difficult to use. You have to either stand on the side of the washing machine and lean over to put items in and take them out, or stand in front of the washing machine on the lower floor and have long arms and be taller than we were.FYI for pets: There is a fence, but it's not complete. There were no instructions on staying at the house - what to do with the trash, when the trash comes, should we recycle? What to do before you leave, how to work the stove, how to work the thermostats in the rooms. The host was very responsive and came multiple times to bring things that we realized we needed - like paper towels, a colander, hangers for the closet, a can opener. He also helped get the garbage disposal plugged in correctly so it would work and showed us how to use the induction stove top. The property is in a nice neighborhood with a park close by and walking trails.
This property looked good on pictures but it is a low budget built. The wooden counter bar was broken my wife cooking fell and hurt on of our kids because the counter was loose and our nine yr old wanted to grab a slice of pizza the pot fell with the wood counter top and hit my 7 yr old in the face. The place has mold in the master bedroom bath and there was a water leak coming from the wall when you turn the shower on. The water runs out of hot water in less the 2 minutes, it seems like both units are running off same water heater. Place smells like mold as soonest you turn into the rooms. Not the place to RENT!
The property was in a great location for us to visit family nearby--nice and safe single-family neighborhood. The host was very helpful and even shoveled the walkway so my elderly mom could make it to the car after a heavy snowfall. However, the house itself was very sparse and could have used more furniture, window coverings, and decorations.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and plenty of room to relax. Located perfectly to enjoy all of Seattle. Will definitely consider when we go back.
