Quiet and restful with plenty of history. Short distance to highway exit and the Village. Just about 20 minutes from anywhere in Western New York. Unique home with lots of character and quirky layout. This is a 1919 Sears, Roebuck home with additions put on in the 20's and 30's. We apologize in advance but due to the unique layout and original features of this 1919 home, it might be a challenging rental for families with toddlers.
Another delightful property at Footprint Farms. This house if beautifully maintained and decorated. Great Aunt Mina would be proud of the work Sara and Jonathan have put into keeping her legacy alive for others to share.
House was very clean and nice. Owners were very responsive. We had everything in the house including yummy snacks. Location was great for us . We would love to come again
The Mina house was as described and an excellent experience. The house was clean and well cared for. The hosts made the process seem less. We will definitely be back.
I loved everything about Minaâs place!! I had a wonderful visit. The house is wonderful. I would recommend it to all my friends. Jonathan and Sara were great!! Loved it!!
We were very excited for this stay and it far exceeded our expectations! The home is spacious yet cozy and clearly decorated in a most thoughtful way. Our hosts were friendly, responsive and welcoming, and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect! This is a wonderful home and an amazing experience. We'll be back! (PS - the location is very convenient with easy access to the Villages of Hamburg and Orchard Park! Lot's of great dining and fun veunes in every direction!)
We had a wonderful weekend at Minaâs Place. Itâs located about 2 minutes outside of the Village of Hamburg, close to all amenities. The house itself is a step back in time, and we studied the Sears, Roebuck blue prints that are hung in the main room. Itâs quiet, comfortable, and Jon and Sara have thought of everything you might need! We will definitely stay here again!
What an adorable set up! The outdoor lights brought all of the properties together, the sitting area was relaxing, and the house was perfect. The owners go out of their way to leave things you may need, and the cozy touches were great. â€ïžđ
Sara, a retired dental hygienist, is a lifelong resident of Hamburg and I, with a career in finance, moved here from Holland (New York) upon graduating from Canisius College. In 2018, after residing in the Village of Hamburg for over 20 years, we built our current home on Saraâs families property which has been in the family for over 100 years.
Hmmm, we are 5 minutes to a really cool brewery, 2 minute walk to a new winery and maybe 7 minutes to the Erie County Fairgrounds where there is always something going on 12 month a year. Good restaurants, quick trips to summer festivals, quiet evenings in the outdoor lounge area...something for everyone is what we say.
Additionally : Highmark Stadium 5.6 miles : Downtown waterfront area: 15 miles : Niagara Falls: 35.2 miles
Cool thing about this house (and the house right next door) they are Sears catalog homes purchased in 1919 and 1921 and shipped to Hamburg via the railroad. Lots of renovations through the years but we have the blue prints for the house next door and it was really amazing how it was engineered and put together.
