A quiet home just outside the Village of Hamburg full of history. Originally bought from the Sears Catalog and delivered to the train station in the Village in 1921. It was then transported to its current location where it was assembled on site and in recent months was renovated and updated while keeping its original charm and character. Renovations included new updated kitchen, updated full bath and adding two half baths one of which is now located on the 2nd floor. A brisk walk to the Pellicano Winery and just a short jaunt to the Hamburg brewery and of course just a mile from route 219 which can take you north to the City of Buffalo and its beautiful waterfront or south to rolling hills and Ellicottville, NY. Come stay in a piece of Hamburg history.
Noraâs house was like a home away from home. It was very welcoming, outdoor area is well let and inviting. So many nice touches and extras included the owners go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.
I canât say enough about this property, perfect location for Buffalo Bills game, clean, had everything we needed and great communication from the owners. Also left a nice welcome gift with reusable bags! Super easy to get in and out and nice quiet location for our family weekend getaway.
Owners were super helpful. Had a nice cheese and cracker plater for us upon arrival. They had all the amenities you would ever need. True pleasure to stay there!
The Nora house was amazing my wife and I had a great time. Sara and Jon were great hosts. We 100percent recommend this place. We will be booking it again. Thank you Jon and Sara
This house was great. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The upstairs bedrooms are spacious with enough room to have pack and plays for our twins set up in them. Checking in/out was very easy, and the hosts were great. We will definitely stay here for our next Buffalo trip!
The Vacation rental exceeded our expectations. They thought of everything gave us a snack bag and water in the fridge. If we wouldâve had the time we wouldâve loved to stay an extra day, but we were there for a wedding which did not allow for extra time to just hang at the vacation rental. I would definitely recommend and I would stay there again thank you again for an amazing experience
We could not have been happier with our stay. It was exactly what we needed. We were able to sit outside around the fire and relax In beautiful settings and Jonathan surprised us with sâmores ingredients. We are already talking about going back.
Arriving at the Nora House felt familiar and welcoming.
Everything was neat and clean. The bedrooms were perfect fit for me and my granddaughters who came to visit for a 10 year olds family birthday celebration. Jonathon gave immediate response to our every question and whatever we needed. We would certainly return!

We travelled to Western NY/Buffalo to see the Total Solar Eclipse with family friends (four adults and four kids ages 2-8), and our stay at Noraâs house was perfect!
The house was immaculate, kitchen had everything we need, and the washer/dryer was convenient. The kids loved the table soccer game as well as the property.
We were perfectly situated near Buffalo/Niagara, but outside the hustle and bustle. Hamburg itself was lovely with a great park/playground and good ice cream.
Jon & Sara were kind hosts, readily available to answer questions when they came up and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We would definitely come again or consider renting out all the the properties (three homes that share a central space) for a large gathering or family reunion.
Weâd like to give more than a 5 star rating for our recent stayâŠbut VRBO only allows 5 đ. The host was extremely helpful in getting us into the property a day earlier than we had originally planned, rearranging some reservations between a couple of properties they have to make everyoneâs stay manageable. We received excellent communication about arriving at the property and were greeted with a snack and some beverages stocked in the fridge. The house is roomy and well appointed with furnishings and everything we needed for a 3-day weekend. We had no issues or problems with anything related to the houseâŠit was perfect. Would wholeheartedly recommend staying at this property when visiting the area.
Our stay at The Nora House @ Footprint Farm was fantastic. This historic Sears Catalog home is full of charm and character, with a beautiful mix of original features and modern updates. The property was impeccably clean, incredibly comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
The updated kitchen and bathrooms were a highlight, and the new appliances made meal prep a breeze. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful and generous gift bag waiting for us upon arrival.
The hosts, Jon and Sara, were exceptional - responsive, kind, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
The location was perfect for us â a short drive to both Buffalo and to Billâs stadium.
If youâre looking for a unique and well-appointed property with excellent hosts, this is it. We would absolutely recommend The Nora House.
We canât say enough good things about the Nora House. The home was conveniently located for our family get together in Hamburg. Jon and Sara were so accommodating and easy to deal with. The house is nicely updated and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The gift bag with treats was a nice touch! There was plenty of room for 4 adults. The library was full of great games and puzzles. We would not hesitate to book this property again!
Sara, a retired dental hygienist, is a lifelong resident of Hamburg and I, with a career in finance, moved here from Holland (New York) upon graduating from Canisius College. In 2018, after residing in the Village of Hamburg for over 20 years, we built our current home on Saraâs families property which has been in the family for over 100 years.
Hmmm, we are 5 minutes to a really cool brewery, 2 minute walk to a new winery and maybe 7 minutes to the Erie County Fairgrounds where there is always something going on 12 month a year. Good restaurants, quick trips to summer festivals, quiet evenings in the outdoor lounge area...something for everyone is what we say.
Additionally : Highmark Stadium 5.6 miles : Downtown waterfront area: 15 miles : Niagara Falls: 35.2 miles
Cool thing about this house (and the house right next door) they are Sears catalog homes purchased in 1919 and 1921 and shipped to Hamburg via the railroad. Lots of renovations through the years but we have the blue prints for the house next door and it was really amazing how it was engineered and put together.
