Loved this rustic cabin with a gorgeous view of Lake Stansberry. It was just the tranquil retreat we needed. Marian was an amazing host. The simplest VRBO checkin experience yet.
We had an amazing stay at this wonderfully curated A-frame on the lake! The space was beautifully designed, spotless, and felt incredibly welcoming. Communication with the host was seamlessâquick, helpful, and friendly. Highly recommend for a peaceful and stylish lakeside getaway!
We loved the views and light in this beautiful, clean cabin. The beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, and communication was fast and easy. Tely worth a repeat visit!
The home was so welcoming and cozy - nicely furnished and with really comfortable bedding. The check in process and information about the house was clearly outlined, it was easy to find and get to. The house is in such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, our kids even slept in for once! The house was exceptionally clean, too. We would definitely stay here again!
We totally enjoyed our stay, the location was so peaceful, we sat on the deck and visited. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were really comfortable. I could rave about every room and everything about it. We spent one day in the charming town of Gig Harbor (about 30 minutes away) and another at Point Defiance (also about 30 minutes away.)
All on all we highly recommend this property.
This property is very clean and comfortable, tucked into a quiet end of the community, and has a great view of the lake. Owner provided clear instructions for check in and check out. We will definitely be back!
We arrived early and no issues except door code I called owner and she quickly corrected issue. The property has a wonderful view of a small lake, and it was very pleasing. The bedrooms were comfortable, and we all slept well. If I was to come back, I would stay here again. Property has all new appliances and plenty of cookware.
Beautiful setting view of the lake was beautiful, Linens were amazing! Only two fry pans so...don't plan on cooking a lot. would have loved a Keurig or a larger coffee pot, other than that I thought the place was amazing. yard could use a little more maintenance lots of debris in the walkways. A crew came while we were there but more cleaned up the BIG stuff, didn't blow off walkways or anything like that. It was warm up stairs so will book at a different time of the year when it is not so hot. There were fans in each bedroom but not enough air to cool things off.
The property is as advertised. The owner is very communicative and responsive. Our family spent a relaxing weekend here. The lake is perfect for kayaking. There's a grocery store near enough and the neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen knives are wicked sharp! We've never had this experience in a VRBO and it was nice. Plenty of plates, silverware and cups. Also, all of the bathrooms had plenty towels and supplies.
These are items that would have been nice to have, but in no way took away from our experience. A few more fans as there's no central air system. Some games, we brought our own but it always fun to find new ones. And lastly the kitchen needed a few more items. Another oven mitt (only1), larger pans (the house is big enough for 7 people but none of the frying pans would accommodate cooking for this size group. Pots were sufficient) A few cake pans would be nice too. We brought stuff to make cornbread but couldn't cook it as there wasn't any type of cake pan. A larger coffee pot, the current one only makes 5 cups. Again, plenty of plates and silverware.
We would definitely stay here again!
We loved the space and layout of this house. Enough room to spread out, and large windows for the rainy days when staying in still felt connected to the lake right off the deck! This was our first time visiting our family in the area, proximity was great, directions were spot on. We all voted that we would choose it again, next visit. Thanks for the perfect spot.
Overall the stay was nice, I was surprised it was so far back into the gated community but so nice and quiet once we got there. The view was incredible i just wish the weather had been nicer so we could be oitside more!
We had a great stay at this beautiful cabin. Of the many places we have stayed in the area this was by far the cleanest interior and furnishing were so wonderful. Beds are so comfortable. When you are in cabin and looking out to the lake, it is just tranquil. It is in a gated community which is nice just be aware it is not super secluded but no one looks directly in to the cabin. The kitchen could use more daily use items and some plastic kids plates and cups. It has the basics but it is not well stocked with kitchen supplies so bring with you what you really need in the kitchen to cook and bake.I would recommend a couple more bathroom items like Kleenex. The cabin is clean and not cluttered which made it very relaxing. Bring what is essential to you like books, games, magazines and you will have a great time.
I grew up in the prairies and the Pacific Northwest but moved away for the sake of my engineering career. However, with the arrival of my second child, I decided to leave behind my engineering job to invest in my family. However, I miss the beauty of the Pacific Northwest along with my parents and sisters that still live there. So I decided to buy this humble little A-frame by the water to visit the Pacific Northwest and host my family and friends...it's not perfect because there are no mountain views, the stovetop is terribly slow to heat up and the yard is a mess but it's a little slice of tranquility to which I can escape with my family. I enjoy hosting people and making people feel welcome because I appreciate those who have made me feel welcome to a new place. An introvert by nature, I had a hard time making friends in new cities, schools and churches but by the grace of God, I met many people who made me feel like I had come home to a new family. While I may not meet most of my guests in person because I do not live in Washington, my hope is that all of them will feel welcome and like they've come home.
The lake is quiet and does not allow any motorized vehicles so it's perfect for those wanting to play in the water. I don't have to worry about fighting the tide since this is a smallish lake unlike the time I kayaked with my kids and got scared I wouldn't make it back because I couldn't kayak very well against the tide and with my youngest right in front of my lap. Plus, the community play area has a basketball court, tennis court and a little playground. I can't wait to try pickle ball or badminton in the tennis court.
I've never seen such a spacious A-frame in any of the blogs or on Airbnb with three bedrooms that actually have four walls and a door. With a front yard and a backyard, introverts can find space outside to be alone too. Extroverts can gather in the living room, dining area or TV room / loft to hang out. It also has an office in which someone can also sleep if they don't mind being surrounded by windows.
