Central Coast Ranch Villa

This modern Spanish-style ranch house is tucked away on 16 acres in San Luis Obispo on a beautiful working horse ranch. Enjoy the quiet sunrise and sunset views of the rolling peaks, acres of pastures with grazing horses, and the sounds of nature. This newly renovated 6 bedroom / 3 bathroom home features an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling, a fully furnished kitchen, fully fenced front courtyard, and a large private fully fenced-in backyard. The backyard also features a covered patio area perfect for outdoor dining. Enjoy outdoor BBQs, yard games, or just relax around the fire pit on Adirondack chairs and unwind under the bistro lights and twinkling stars of the crisp central coastal evenings.

Just a short drive down a private dirt road to the home, you'll be greeted by several beautiful horses enjoying the open pastures. During your stay, you may hear the clip-clop of playing hooves or the excited nickering of horses awaiting morning & evening feedings. (Feeding times are approximately 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for reference.) Horse riding and lessons are not available on-site, but there are other local trail ride experiences we can direct you to.

Our getaway is a unique vacation rental property because of its convenient location to all the amenities of the city, yet the best of quiet country living. With inspiring views of the “Seven Sisters” range (a line of seven non-active volcanic peaks), the ranch is surrounded by rolling landscapes, picturesque pastures, grassy fields, neighboring cattle ranches, seasonal poppies, and glowing sunsets- you just might forget it is located only minutes from downtown SLO, Cal Poly University, gorgeous wineries, numerous restaurants, thriving nightlife, hiking, and beaches.

We love animals. We have 4 resident pups (3 French Bulldogs, and a Chocolate Lab) that wander the property during the days. We are excited to meet your furry family members as well,  but we do require a few ground rules. Dogs need to be on leashes when not inside the house or contained inside the yard. This is to ensure everyone’s safety. Dogs must be cleaned up after, and there is a pooper scooper and garbage can on site. 

Children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of others.

Bring coats because SLO’s warm spring and summer days are cooled by coastal evening breezes! There is lots of closet space to keep extra layers. 

The Space: 

Bedroom 1 - Primary Bedroom: King Tempur-Pedic Bed, upstairs balcony with scenic views, comfortable and clean bedding- suitable closet with hangers and a luggage rack, Large 42” flat screen smart TV, with a 3/4 Bathroom, basic hand soap, and fresh towels.

Bedroom 2: King Memory Foam bed and a Twin-Size Memory Foam Ottoman Sleeper, upstairs balcony with scenic views, comfortable and clean bedding, spacious closet, luggage rack.

Bedroom 3: Queen Memory Foam Bed, upstairs, comfortable and clean bedding, large closet, luggage rack.

Bedroom 4: Queen Memory Foam Bed, 55" flat screen smart TV, large closet, sliding glass door with backyard access, comfortable and clean bedding, luggage rack.

Bedroom 5 Adjoining Room: Queen Memory Foam Bed, private fireplace, 32" flat screen smart TV, Option to open connecting door to adjoining room #6. Connected with an interior door for family-friendly living, groups of friends or relatives who want to share space, yet also enjoy privacy. Comfortable and clean bedding, luggage rack.

Bedroom 6 Adjoining Room: Quad Bunk Room with 4 adult rated memory foam twin beds. Option to open connecting door to adjoining room #5. Connected with an interior door for family-friendly living, groups of friends or relatives who want to share space, yet also enjoy privacy. Comfortable and clean bedding.

Optional Moveable Beds: We provide 3 optional roll-away memory foam beds on wheels - 37 lbs. each with a weight capacity of 265 lbs. each, Dimensions: 79" x 31.5" x 16"

Kitchen: Full Kitchen, completely stocked with cookware, spices, 2 coffee makers, blender, toaster, toaster oven, bottled water dispenser, and a full-sized stainless steel fridge and freezer, Dishwasher, 6 Burner-48" Stove.
 
Living room/dining room: Queen Sofa Sleeper, 2 Sitting Chairs, Large 75” Flat Screen Smart TV. Dining room table suitable for 10-14 guests, and a spacious island set up with 4 bar stools. Addition tables with seating overlooking the horse pastures and beautiful views of Bishops Peak & Madonna Mountain. Appointed with new premium fixtures, furniture, amenities, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. 

Backyard: 3200 Sq Feet  - Fully privacy fenced, partially covered outdoor dining area, propane BBQ, bistro string lighting, fire pit, Adirondack chairs, yard games,

Garage/Game room.

Parking: Park directly on the property, 4 car maximum unless otherwise arranged. Please contact us if you plan on having more than 4 vehicles.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: This is an Equine Facility, All activities on these grounds are subject to the Equine Inherent Risk Law, by your presence in this facility you are indicating that you have accepted the limits of liability resulting from inherent risks of equine activities. Guest agrees to instruct all guests on-premises to not access any off-limit, or unsafe sections of the property including horse stalls and roof-tops. Guest agrees to assume all responsibility to make all occupants aware of risks and for the consequences of those risks and to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents that may occur. Guest agrees to waive any claim whatsoever against the property owner or Manager for injuries or claims.

HOLD HARMLESS: The Guest and all occupants shall hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Manager and property owner against any claims of personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from the use of the premises regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss. Guests also expressly recognize that any insurance for property damage or loss that the Landlord may maintain on the property does not cover the personal property of Guests and that Guests should purchase their insurance if such coverage is desired.

Pricing:
Basic (14 people):         $995 night base rate
Cleaning Fee:                   $300 (Applied once per trip)
Extra people:             $50/person/night after 14 guests
Dogs:                                $25/dog/night

Our dedicated vacation rental is professionally cleaned (fresh linens, towels, etc.) and a hotel-quality experience awaits your arrival. Accommodates up to 14-20 guests comfortably.

This coastal retreat halfway between LA and SF is a short 10-minute scenic drive to downtown SLO (Thursday Night Farmer’s Market, Cal Poly, restaurants, nightlife, etc.) and beautiful Avila Beach (spectacular beach, dedicated dog beach, pier, shops, wineries, etc).

A little about us... We are both Cal Poly SLO graduates (Lindsey studied Animal Science, Ish studied Graphic Communications & Design and also Wrestled for Cal Poly) We have been lucky enough to call San Luis Obispo our home ever since. We have owned this ranch since 2004.
A few things we do... Lindsey designs showclothing for the western equine industry, competes in working cowhorse events, breeds and raises preformance horses, and loves our animals. Ish is a graphic designer, children's book illustrator, photographer, video producer, and loves our animals too.

We have 2 incredible boys who love the ranch life, tractors, and digging in the dirt and mud- true ranch boys!
