This is a great place for a family vacation in the Bahamas. We have a boat so it's nice to find a place with dock access and a view of the water. We've stayed here two summers in a row and recommend it to other families, or couples/friends.

Property was great! It was an easy trip from Marsh and Elbow and just around the corner from the stop to get gas and ice each morning. There are beautiful reefs to explore on the ocean side of Elbow and MOW which are very close by. The house itself was very well-appointed with just about everything you'd need. It helped having separate a/c units for the bedrooms, so you could cool off just the rooms you need at night while conserving in the common area. The outdoor shower was a perfect place to cool off after a day on the water.There was super nice snorkeling right off the back of the house, but make sure you bring serious water shoes because the rocks back there are no joke. As you may have heard, "Abaco is not for sissies." The only thing I might suggest is a grill with propane to be able to cook outside and a larger frying pan/skillet for all that fish you're going to catch. :) We had a great trip!

Great vacation for our family

We've come to Man O War for many summer vacations, but after the hurricane it's been harder to find a place to stay. This house was both a great find and affordable. It's new so it's in great shape. We loved being by the sound. It's the perfect house for a family of four. We hope to return!

A beautiful, quiet vacation

This property fit our needs perfectly. The beautiful landscaping, friendly neighbors, and great location really make this a special place to stay. The access to the harbor as well as the sea of abaco is a feature that sets this property apart. We would not hesitate to return for another stay.

Peaceful winter retreat

We loved our stay at this home! It was beautiful and we loved the vibe of man o way cay! Even when our stay got thrown a little curve ball- Lana handled the situation with love and grace! We will def be back!

BEST vacation location in the Abacos

This was our second stay and we’ll be back! The house and property have so many places to relax. Every evening we watched the sun set over the sea of abaco from rocking chairs on the huge deck or from the lower swim/fishing deck. We swam from the lower swim deck where we could just walk into the water and splash around while watching the boat action (or just the beautiful scenery in the sea of abaco). We also watched the sunrises and swam everyday from the dock on eastern harbor (where the swimming is the best anywhere!).The house itself is very comfortable with all the modern conveniences you need but it feels truly magical.

Great get away!

This is the perfect spot when you want to escape and be away from the stress of everyday life and experience the abaco sea and Atlantic Ocean. This property is perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. There is a ton of privacy and access for both a boat in the sheltar of the harbor and access to the abaco sea for swimming and snorkeling. The owners thought of everything and the deck is brand new and the house had a great new kitchen. There is an additional storage space with laundry and a large fridge for your bigger items. the outside shower is fantastic and quite lovely way to end the day.

The Best

The home is great. Clean, comfortable, quiet and great views. Very private…. Feel like you are in a botanical garden. Easy access to many local towns and things to do. Communication is always key in my business and it doesn’t get better than Britton. She was always available, sweet and helped us get in contact with the right people to fix our boat. We will be going back and will tell our boating friends about this home. 100% recommended!

Hidden Gem

Absolutely perfect. Very nicely remodeled, modern, light and airy. Well appointed and every detail thought of. Great view of the sea from a large and new deck, great bay side dock for your boat and two kayaks to use, a nice lookout and steps leading down to the sea, great air conditioning, great showers/water pressure both inside and out doors, great lighting, beautiful original paintings by owner who is an accomplished and notable artist, new appliances, great patio, great wifi and tv streaming service. Met the owners on the island during our stay and they were very friendly and gracious hosts. We will definitely come back and highly recommend to others. One detail to be aware of is that there is no road leading to the house, only a very rugged path, so make sure you plan to arrive and depart via boat to and from the dock. All-in-all an absolute gem, charming and perfect in every way!

Keep this place a secret

We will be back. The house is perfect for 4 that want to enjoy a quick trip in the center of everything. Boating over from MH is 15min, the lagoon was awesome for swimming and floating around in the evening after island hopping. We got lobster, grouper, and saw tons of fish on the sea side daily. The house has everything you need, the kitchen was very well stocked, lots of towels, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioners kept that house cold. There is a nice outdoor shower, a full size fridge, washer and dryer, and a couple other things that we weren't expecting. Absolutely super little small quaint island home. We ran out of gas, connected with the host, and had gas before I woke up in the morning. We couldn't have picked a better place. I'm only leaving this review because I promised I would. Otherwise I don't want anybody else to know about it, kidding, but hopefully its available when we look. We will definitely be back soon. Enjoy

Nice cottage, worst owner ever encountered on VRBO

the house is good for 2 to 4 people, but would be crowded with more than that, especially during rainy weather. it is adequately furnished, although with dark wood; it could be much lighter and airier. we were not informed of the broken dryer. as it rained for much of our stay this was a problem for drying wet towels, clothes, etc. owner's manual needs updating and should be sent prior to arrival (the information sent was not complete). there is no Firestick for the t.v. as promised. the rugs need cleaning, all are dirty. some towels and sheets (all white) have small stains. most importantly .we were not told that we should ensure a boat rental prior to booking. there were no rentals available over the holiday season. the owner said she had never encountered this problem before which is unlikely true. other renters we met had been unable to rent a boat six months prior to this christmas/new years season. the owner did not respond to phone calls or email questions. fortunately, residents of man o war cay were very helpful as was the G and L ferry service from Marsh Harbour. we are also home owners on martha's vineyard and rent our home on occasion; we always correspond with renters with any questions and concerns before they arrive; we check in with them during their stay; we are always accessible. although the property manager did respond (telling us the dryer was broken, after the fact) that is not the same as talking with the property owner.

It is a shame that these visitors stooped to false, damaging criticism. I can only guess that they are hoping for hoping for free stays, etc. by way of appeasement for their false claims. We spoke by way of phone, email, or text at least 5 times prior to and during their stay. Our property is immaculate and splendidly furnished and appointmented. Beautiful - Fun and Relaxing

Excellent -beautiful, fun as well as relaxing property. Electric went out but never experienced outage because excellent automatic generator. Property manager very good. We’ll be back!!
