Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback—it's truly the only way we can continue improving our guests’ experience. Fans We found that several fan remotes had been lost or misplaced. We have since replaced all missing remotes and mounted them near each fan for easy access. We’ve also added this to our cleaners’ checklist to ensure the remotes are always returned to the correct location. Deep Clean Our house is almost brand new and is deep cleaned every week by the same professional cleaning team we’ve employed for all our properties since 2007. In all those years—and across the five homes we own and manage—we’ve never received a similar concern in any review. If a guest ever notices anything that needs attention, we truly appreciate being notified on day one so we can resolve it immediately and ensure they enjoy the rest of their stay. It’s difficult for us to hear about an issue only in a review, when we no longer have the chance to make it right. Road Conditions Great news regarding the roads: the town of San Pedro has begun paving the road all the way to the south end of the island. Work is already underway, with completion projected for January 2026. Bugs Because we are located in the tropics, the wet season—typically from September to November—can bring an increase in seasonal insects. We take many steps to maintain the home and minimize their presence, but some are unfortunately unavoidable during this time of year.

Power Outage During your stay, the power company lost one of their electrical transmission lines serving the entire south end of the island. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused, as it was unfortunately outside of our control. Water Heaters Our home is designed with two water heaters—something we learned was essential after building five homes on the island since 2004. We intentionally over-designed the hot water system to ensure that even when everyone showers at the same time at the end of the day, there is plenty of hot water. We wish we had been notified that the hot water wasn’t working properly during your stay. After investigating, we discovered that the island-wide power outage caused an electrical issue that left both heaters operating at half power. This has now been fully repaired. Towels & Linens Please feel free to reach out to us at any time during your stay—we are always happy to provide additional towels or linens upon request. There was some unseasonable and unusual excessive storm activity during this stay in late July in which 3 of the 4 houses that we own had leaks. While we cannot control Mother Nature, we have made repairs to the door thresholds and window seals to prevent rain water from leaking into the house and since have had no leaking in the house. The main door to the house is a keyless touchpad and does lock. Each guest gets a unique, new code when they check in. We did do a walk through with this guest and gave her a code to the door. The review is also the first time that we heard about this issue from her. If she would have brought this to our attention during her stay we would have ensured she had the code and knew how to use the keypad immediately. We have talked to the on-site host, who orients guests on how to use the keypad during the walk through, and made this a standard part of the check in process. Some of the bathroom lights were missing light bulbs which have since been replaced.
