Mojo sur le Bayou

Marie Laveau mené ses rituels vaudous sur les rives du Bayou St. John et la magie est toujours dans l'air. Une oasis urbaine dans le milieu de la Nouvelle-Orléans, niché sur le Bayou donnant sur City Park, nous sommes la plaque tournante idéale pour savourer tous les aspects de cette magnifique ville, tout en bénéficiant d'une retraite front de mer paisible avec vue sur les vastes champs et de chênes verts de plus grand parc de la ville .

Nous sommes une courte promenade de Jazz Fest, la piste de course, nos Cemetaires célèbres, le musée d'art et les jardins botaniques adjacentes. Cet emplacement spectaculaire est également un accès facile à toutes les attractions de la ville. Seulement 15 minutes en voiture du quartier français ou Superdome, vous pouvez toujours opter pour rattraper la voiture de rue, qui est une courte promenade dans le bayou de vous livrer à vos destinations du centre Nous sommes à proximité des restaurants populaires de quartier, les épiceries, les magasins de vins et d'autres équipements de l'Esplanade Ridge dans la ville historique Bayou St. John qui rend ce quartier particulier Mid City l'un des endroits les plus populaires à vivre dans la Nouvelle-Orléans.

Directement en face de nous, City Park offre une panoplie d'activités de plein air comme la marche / jogging, tennis, hors des pistes cyclables de la rue, et des terrains de jeux pour les enfants. Donc explorer le parc expansif, vélo le long du nouveau système de sentiers menant tout le chemin à Lac Ponchatrain, ou de prendre notre pirogue pour un coucher de soleil romantique paddle. Préparez-vous pour votre nuit sur la ville avec un cocktail coucher de soleil sur notre porche. Ou tout simplement vous détendre sur le balcon de l'un de nos hamacs, et selon la saison, le site de capture de pélicans, hérons, aigrettes ou les canards respectueux de l'alimentation le long du bord de l'eau. En vedette dans Bird Watching Magazine, plus de 280 espèces d'oiseaux ont été repérés dans le parc chaque année. Ou obtenir appelé à la nourriture du centre-ville, la musique et la scène de bar. Nous avons vraiment le meilleur des deux mondes.

Fabulous Location

Wonderful and comfortable interiors. Perfect location right across from City Park with all of its amenities. Stroll along Bayou St. John and visit the nearby restaurants and coffee houses on Esplanade. Have your coffee and/or wine on the front porch overlooking Bayou St. John while watching the ducks and geese glide by. Nice accomodations!

Gorgeous House

The house was beautiful and in a safe and central location. Easy to Uber or take the street car to the French Quarter. Also enjoyed the sites in this location. Communication with John was great. Highly recommend this 2 bedroom home!

Perfect location! We would stay here again!

We enjoyed being across the street from the park and close to the trolley. We also appreciated parking right in front of the house, which was clean and well kept. John was a great host.

Great place to stay on the bayou!

The apartment was perfect for me and my friends for Mardi Gras. Very clean and quiet and the host was really friendly and welcoming. I always worry that hosts will cancel at the last minute or will change the price after booking, but they didn’t do that. I would definitely stay here again.

Location. Location. Location. We did all things we wanted and it was easy to access. The neighborhood was quiet even with the weekend festival going on. Staying in St. John Bayou is how to do New Orleans.

Our experience at Mojo on the Bayou was fantastic! Location was perfect for our trip; accommodations were beautiful, clean, comfortable and secure! John and Misty were great hosts, their property is lovely and convenient. All of our needs were met and then some. Easy peasy-from booking, communication with our hosts, check in and check out. We hope to return again.

Loved it!

The house is located in the perfect location to see all New Orleans has to offer. There's a lot to do within walking distance and the trolley is nearby and very convenient. We had a last minute friend join us after booking so we ended up being a group of 5 instead of 4. Not ideal but it worked out fine.

Beautiful and convenient

Get up early and walk out the front to dozens of ducks, swans, geese waiting to be fed. Turtles and fish swarm the bank of the bayou for food, and one 7' alligator likes to cruise the bayou. Location is convenient to downtown, midtown, lakefront. Numerous local restaurants and grocery stores within 2 minutes of the location. House has everything you need to feel at home.

Lovely duplex with multiple decks

We loved this charming duplex with the lovely art work and view of St John bayou. We walked to city park which was lovely. We thought one of the 2 full baths being downstairs would be an issue but it was not. We loved all the decks front and back. John was ever so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Had a lovely time. Hope he wad able to get dishwasher fixed. Thanks so very much

Lack of security and privacy

The unit was as described in the pics, well stocked and clean. Excellent location, however, the problems were with security and privacy. None of the interior doors had lock protections, ( interior deadbolts, chains ) the front door only has exterior key code entry and the master bedroom access to the enclosed balcony did not even have a lock. This balcony is shared with the owner, we put some heavy furniture in front of it so we could sleep. As far as privacy the master bathroom only has half a curtain over the window allowing the neighbors a good view. The doors leaving the kitchen area needs blinds or curtains while it is nice to see the back yard and flowers didn't care for watching John shirtless and sweating heavily doing yard work while trying to entertain guest or cook breakfast. Would have posted sooner but was waiting to get our cleaning deposit back before posting, it took well over a week to get our deposit back. Steve Eardley

Beautiful home and wonderful views

We stayed on memorial weekend and it was just lovely. The beds were so comfortable and everything you needed was provided in the bathroom and kitchen. Morning on the front porch drinking coffee watching the ducks and kayakers was so nice. The back yard was perfect for an afternoon glass of wine in their beautiful garden. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous visit in mid-October for a long weekend and a family wedding. Four of us were happy in two bedrooms/two baths. Lots of privacy. Very easy to work with the owners. We had a medical situation on the last day, right before leaving, and John was very understanding and accommodating. The place is so lovely. Highly recommended! Very close to City Park, the Museum of Art, and a cable car stop that takes you all over the city. Had a great time.

Awesome location

Easy walk to trolley station, blue bike rental, and city park. Plus we had some great food in the neighborhood! The house decor was relaxing and the plants were beautiful.

Enjoy the historical Bayou St. John area!

Great house located right on Bayou St. John. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the kayakers and paddle boarders go by. Right across the street from City Park for walking and jogging, not to mention all the wonderful sites the park offers. Perfect location to explore the historical (and often overlooked) Faubourg St. John neighborhood. Lovely décor, spacious and well equipped kitchen!

Beautiful setting

Wonderful stay at Mojo on the Bayou

Want to thank our hosts for a wonderful stay at their beautiful property. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated with large comfy beds, large fully stocked eat in kitchen, and great access to City Park and the City. My family loved to be able to go out on the porch, drink coffee and watch the birds and even an alligator on Bayou St. John.

BEST VRBO ever! Book it now!

This was one of the best, if not the best VRBO I've ever stayed at. It had absolutely everything you could possibly want or need. It was tastefully decorated, had so many extra touches, pantry items in the kitchen, sparking water, parking, toiletries, extra linens, glass ware, etc. The kitchen was the most fully stocked kitchen I've ever encountered. The living area was generous and it has a beautiful front porch with a view of the bayou and a sweet back yard with multiple seating areas, a fire pit and a grill! John was super attentive and accomodating. He was quick to respond with any questions and let us have a late check out. This will be my go to VRBO whenever I am in NOLA. Book it now.

Halloween Weekend Vacay

We were very impressed by the property and it's location. It was very clean and the décor was cool and modern. The house was directly facing the bayou and City Park which made for a great view! The hosts were welcoming and accommodating as well. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Bayou St. John, I miss you already!

This property is close to it all, the City Park, the French Quarter, the cemeteries, and fantastic restaurants. The property is lovely and so comfortable. My favorite part was relaxing on the front porch watching the ducks, jumping fish, beautiful skies, slowing it all down. We are already talking about another stay!

Great property and location!

John and Misty were wonderful hosts. The house itself has a great setup and is in the perfect location and is nicely decorated. My boyfriend and I stayed with my parents and the house was set up wonderfully to accommodate two couples with a bedroom and a bathroom on each floor. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom are a bit smaller, but worked well for what we needed - lots of space in the upstairs bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen had everything we needed as well. And John and Misty are right next door if you do happen to need anything else. The location of the house is directly across from City Park which made for lovely morning walks and convenient activities (mini golf, bike and kayak rentals, etc). If you have a car, it was only about 5 minutes from awesome restaurants,15 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to a commercial shopping mall area, and 20 minutes from the airport. John & Misty were flexible with check-in and check-out time as needed and provided fantastic suggestions for activities and restaurants prior to our arrival. Would absolutely stay here again if coming to the area. Thank you, John & Misty!

We have lived in several neighborhoods in the city before having the good fortune to move onto Bayou St. John and the City Park. We are minutes from all the city's nightlife but in the morning we can have coffee on the balcony and watch the pelicans fish.

Relatively quiet streets and gorgeous, peaceful surroundings right on the water,
Mid-City is exactly what it's name implies, the middle of the city. From here you are 15 to 20 minutes from any neighborhood in the city.
