Check-in and check out was super easy, room was ready to go when we got there and the view/location was perfect! Stayed for a weekend getaway and it was fantastic. Thank you again for the awesome weekend!
The lily pad was a great choice to stay for activities in downtown and peace for relaxing
Easy check-in process, simple kitchen space for short stay, WiFi connectivity was spotty but available, parking is easily seen. Love the atmosphere and privacy, wish we had more time to relax!
Patriciaâs place is amazing! It is 10-15min to downtown and just down the street from the Blueridge Pkwy. There is a little pond next to the space and a wonderful deck to sit on and enjoy the great weather.
My wife and I stayed at the Lily Pad cottage for my daughterâs wedding and we couldnât have been happier with the accommodations. Itâs only a few mins from downtown and when youâre there, you feel like youâre much more secluded. Itâs a very tranquil spot.
Great location, perfect cozy room, calming scenery
This cabin is what you would expect in a hotel room without loud other guests or dirty elevators. It is very conveniently located, close to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, and not too far from Grandfather Mountain. There is a beautiful pond with big goldfish and a fire pit next to a nice running stream. It was very clean and well maintained. Great place to stay. Only negative is that the wifi was very spotty so do not expect to be able to work in the mornings.
This house was more than we expected. It definitely is a Cozy cottage! Patty has all that you need for an Awesome stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a quiet and quick getaway. Thank you Patty for such a wonderful place to stay.
The Lily Pad was the perfect place for us! It is close to Biltmore and downtown. We attended a wedding at the NC Arboretum and used the Blue Ridge Parkway (entrance was very close!) to travel there and back. Patty, the Host, responded to emails quicklyâif you are looking for a quiet escape, this is your Pad!
Enjoyed our stay! Very relaxing. Didnât realize there was another rental property off the main house, so pulling in we had to share parking with another couple who had to walk behind our unit to get to theirs. Didnât bother us but can see how that would put other people off. The location was very convenient but secluded and quiet enough to feel like a getaway. The bed is a bit uncomfortable, could go for an extra blanket because the quilt was really thin. Only a few tweaks but mostly it was a great place :)
Great little place for a stay in Asheville. It is a little bit from the main area for activities but only about a 10-15 minute drive. Very quiet and relaxing. Great setting by the pond and amongst the trees. Nicely appointed with all that we needed. Would recommend a stay if you want a quiet spot with a friendly host and don't mind the short drive into town.
While the cottage was cozy and host was nice, bed was very uncomfortable. This coupled with bad smell that came from the bathroom had my wife and I cut our stay short and head home.
Enjoyed our little cabin that overlooked a pond. It is super cute and a nice affordable stay. Our host had everything you would need. We spent moments enjoying sitting outside drinking wine or having our coffee. We spent time at the Biltmore Estate and this cabin wasnât too far from it.
Our only suggestions would be to add more bigger pillows to sit on the bed to watch TV to support your back.
Also the bed makes lots of noise when moving positions as you sleep. However we both move around a lot when sleeping. It just woke eachother up.
Also a blackout screen would be helpful for the high window close to the driveway. The sun coming in thru the window lands on your face. Or possibly change the bed to the wall where the table is:) We enjoyed our stay overall and appreciate the chance to stay here. Thanks!
Pattyâs home was equipped with everything we could need for our weekend. Property was close to everything we needed and ubers/lyfts weâre very easy to get. We would definitely stay here again.
This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife. He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 cottages to vacationers.
The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.
I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.
