Wow! Three blocks to my daughterâs house in the midtown area - the place was inviting as well asEquipped and comfortable. There for her wedding the proximity alone was amazing but the layout and comfort ? We loved it. Everything was accessible and easy to manage fromThis ideal location. WillDefinitely book it again and again - from the most quiet shower toThe most comfy and cozy of beds ! Hands down topOfMy list in Sacramento !
I really enjoyed my stay at this home. It was equipped with the basic necessities which I appreciated. The beds were very comfortable. Will stay again.
Loved the location and setup, Michael the owner is extremely helpful and communicative. Lots of parking options and utilities inside were perfect. Walkable everywhere in midtown
Perfect for all of our needs. Might need a little âhow toâ on the washer/dryer combo. Would definitely recommend this BnB and will be staying again.
Overall a great place to stay, only minor complaints would be a smell coming from sink, and the housekeepers were still there at check in time which caused a minor panic since I couldn't find the keys, since they had them. Easily resolved and they were very friendly. Place itself is really nice with nice rooms and great A/C, would definitely stay here again.
Architecturally & design wise I loved it!I felt like I was in a beautiful modern tree house. These notes may help:Itâs a grey house on the corner of Q & 25th,front faces Q St & the BnB entrance & lockbox is on the left side.Parking is on 25th behind the house & the chain link fence must be opened with a key they provide. There is a damaged step on the outside stairs beware.Property has STRONG smell when you walk in,but I became nose blind to it inside. We arrived after 3pm & the A/C was definitely NOT turned on yet,it was well in the 90âs.They have a helpful guidebook,I didnât open it until day 3 of my 4 night stay.It states âwe operate under peak usage rates between 4-8pm conserving energy during these hours to keep our prices lowâ which I took as them asking the A/C not be used during those times. It didnât affect my comfort as I was off property, just something to be aware of.Inside, the stairs are steeper than regular,if you have a little one under 4 or 5 they could be worrisome as the top can't really be blocked off.The in-unit laundry was unavailable, blocked by a duct taped sheet.I peeked & it looked like they were trying to contain a fly issue with a mild dew/sewage smell.Older homes have smells that come with character.I cooked daily & found the kitchen sufficient.I saw rodent traps in a storage nook but no rodents. My kids found droppings in a tiny attic door when exploring, possibly old.Host responded slowly when I asked about parking clarification & I got a 62 ticket.
We stayed as a family of five for two nights, checking in late after a long drive. The property has a charming layout with two separate bedroomsâa queen and a king roomâplus a pull-out sofa.
Unfortunately, we encountered some issues: there were no extra blankets and bedding for the sofa, and we found the bedsheet dirty, complete with a fake nail and strands of dark hair. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was weak, and the TV in the main room was non-functional.
On the positive side, the host was responsive and quickly arranged for clean sheets. However, the king's room had a persistent old smell that lingered on our clothes. Also, be cautious of the recliner in the living room; it sheds, and we end up with leather pieces on our white clothes
We arrived on Friday but I suppose we werenât aware it was upstairs. Having the a/c on to cool off the house would have been so awesome. It took quite a while for the home to cool off , and the second bedroom was âcomfortableâ bet never really was cool. All of the appliances and utensils were in good shape and plenty of items to use for the kitchen . I couldnât locate any kids for the pots or pans. Perhaps not provided. As well as no âstarter packâ of paper towels or laundry detergent. We couldnât understand how the all in 1 washer/dryer worked completely so we just hung some of the clothing up after washing. Again a starter set of detergent would have been helpful. My grandsons dropped some toys under the sofa. Perhaps the cleaning crew could do a double take under the furniture as we found some items that were not ours along with a lot of âdust bunniesâ the home was very comfortable but Definately a little more attention to additional items would have made it a better stay.
Location was great in midtown. Some issues we had: no coffee or tea, dirty floor under chairs, and big issue with the air conditioning. We were only allowed to "temporarily" adjust the thermostat but of course we didn't figure that out until it was over 80 degrees in the loft and after a very hot night. We were very confused at first, sure we had turned on the air conditioning...I think we should have be given a heads up that the thermostat would turn off automatically after X amount of hours. This weekend was HOT, in the 90s. The loft has really pretty skylight windows, but that just makes it even hotter! Also, the thermostat was not set before we came, so when we came into the loft, it was 83 degrees and very stuffy inside. The smaller bedroom and living room could use some fans. What I think was the laundry room (?) was locked, so we never saw the W/D. There was a used dirty dusty water bottle under a chair that needed to be seriously cleaned under. All the hand soaps were close to empty. Small issues that made our short trip uncomfortable but not terrible. Very simple, no bells or whistles, but had the bare essentials. Comfortable bed and pillows. We were allowed early check-in too which was very nice. The place was fine once it cooled down. Could use a better cleaner and a little more thoughtfulness like including board games, books for kids, and coffee. But mostly I think if we had just had a heads up about the air conditioning, I think we would have been happier!
