Bear Hill Farm, Delhi NY - Ferme restaurée de 1850 sur Winding Country Lane

Situé sur une route de campagne isolée et sinueuse. Située au milieu de champs vallonnés et de forêts, entourée de jardins, de ruisseaux en cascade et de murs en pierre, la maison est à la fois rustique et simple à la fois. Une communion quatre saisons avec la nature.

Ferme de style néo-grec restauré à la main. Cuisine gastronomique avec plancher de pierre bleue locale chauffée par rayonnement et poêle de chauffage confortable avec vue complète sur les jardins à travers des fenêtres panoramiques du sol au plafond. Deux salons confortables au rez-de-chaussée avec des planchers de pin taillés à la main d'origine, l'un avec poêle à bois et l'autre avec télévision. L'espace humide aux murs en acajou avec douche à effet pluie et d'immenses fenêtres vous permet de prendre des douches «en plein air» toute l'année. A l'étage trois chambres (2 reines, 2 lits jumeaux) bureau et salle de bain avec baignoire.

Patio en pierre des champs avec barbecue Weber, foyer en pierre, véranda latérale couverte, hamac au bord du ruisseau et bien d'autres endroits reposants dans le parc et les dépendances.

Une évasion isolée de la vie trépidante de la ville dans le bassin versant de New York écologiquement protégé (c'est l'eau que nous buvons.) Les ruisseaux et les zones humides permettent une observation abondante de la faune. Les aigles planent au-dessus de vos têtes et les coyotes hurlent la nuit. Par une nuit claire, regardez la Voie lactée et regardez les étoiles filantes tomber sur terre.

Grande randonnée toute l'année et ski à Plattekill et Belleayre en hiver. Cooperstown et le All Star Village sont tous deux à quelques minutes en voiture (via la ville universitaire Oneonta) et SUNY Delhi entretient de magnifiques sentiers de randonnée et un parcours de golf de classe mondiale à proximité.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at bear hill. We were in town for our sons tournament at Cooperstown all star village. The house was perfect for us. The grounds are serene. The owner was very accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend!

Wonderful trip!!

I can't say enough about our stay at the Bear Hill Farm! The house is immaculate and stylish, the grounds are beautiful, and the local caretaker is so nice and helpful. Our family had a lovely time, we wished we could have stayed longer! We definitely plan to stay here again in the future.

Perfect for weekend visit with friends

Bear Hill Farm is charming! Beautiful setting, lots of cool things in the house to look at at and enjoy (books, puzzles, well stocked with cooking tools). The grounds are special, beautiful lighting at night, a GREAT fire pit. Very nice to have a friendly caretaker nearby. Area scenery is breathtaking especially this time of year (early fall). Owner gives a fantastic guide to the property and area. One of the best vacation rentals I've experienced!

From beginning to end this was a very positive experience. Jeff and Jeff could not have been nicer and you will great information on what is going on in the area. This is a beautiful home with breathtaking views (was there as leaves were turning). It is remote but this adds to the charm of the home. The star gazing was amazing. Would stay again without hesitation.

A Gem in the Catskills!

We rented Bear Hill Farm for a reunion weekend in nearby Oneonta. We wanted a place to escape from the organized activities with the mob. The house is a delight: wide plank floors, large bedrooms and bathrooms, and the most well-stocked kitchen we have ever seen. It was truly a joy to cook in this kitchen and to dine on the gorgeous glasstop table. Lots of great spaces for reading, conversing, andenjoying the garden views.

Lovely farmhouse!

We stayed at Bear Hill Farm in late June while our son’s team played baseball at Cooperstown All Star Village. We had an amazing week! The home was absolutely lovely, exactly as advertised in the photos. Comfortable, clean, artsy, woodsy, and full of antique charm, all while being very roomy and modernized. We felt lucky to have found this charmer! Host and caretaker were both very attentive and sweet. Thank you!!

Great place for a Catskills getaway.

This was our third visit to this house and another great stay. This time we hit it in peak fall leaf season and the natural beauty everywhere was incredible: We enjoyed many long walks, lounged by the waterfalls and cooked great meals on the grills. We appreciated the new king size bed in the master, the home made strawberry rhubarb jam was both thoughtful and delicious and Jeff and Jeff were great hosts again. If you are looking for a great getaway in a beautiful historic home in a peaceful setting look no further. Thanks again Jeff and Jeff.

Great quiet getaway

This house is amazing. Built in the 1850s it is a very cute home! The neighborhood is amazing and quiet. Plenty of space outside to play and entertain. The home is occupied and lived in so there are plenty of amenities in the home. Unfortunately there is no washer and dryer, so that would be the only downfall of the property. Jeff, the house assistant was very nice and accommodating when we showed up and before we left. I would highly recommend staying here to my friends and family.

Awesome stay!

My parents, fiance, my doggies and I stayed at Jeff's Bear hill farm for the weekend, the pictures and the reviewed do not do it justice, the house is amazing, not only cozy but modern and we'll equipped. Jeff (the owner) is great! Attentive, helpful and always available for questions. Jeff (the caretaker) was so very nice, we would of loved to spend more time with him. The weekend was just awesome, my parents lived it so much they didn't want to really leave the house, we can't wait to book with Jeff again and for a longer stay, thank you so much Jeff & Jeff! We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great, beautiful and spacious home, our dogs loved running around and warming up by the fire. Loved it!!

cozy, stylish, and felt like home!

Jeff allowed my family and I to stay during my brothers wedding at a nearby venue. We wanted a place that was rustic, charming, and celebrated the local landscape while being stylish, comfortable, and large enough for us to hang out and entertain... I cannot tell you how happy we were when we arrived to find that the house not only checked every box on our must have list, it went above and beyond. a welcome note and gift when we arrived, modern comfort in a rustic retreat. As a designer by trade, the vintage finds mixed with modern decor sent my heart a flutter. the house was clean and well maintained from the inside out offering cozy nooks to relax in and read, sip coffee, or listen to the babbling stream. Jeff followed up with us quickly before, during and after our stay like any true homeowner who is proud of their home would. I cannot wait to come back and stay again!

Charming but old…

Just like the listing said, it is a very charming farmhouse on beautiful grounds. The kitchen was nicely redone with modern appliances. But the interior designing was not to my taste, very old, mix matched styles throughout. My biggest concern was the main bathroom’s walls. The wall paper is completely peeling off, exposing the wood walls. The old paper pictures taped on with painters tape was also peeling off and very poorly done. The stairs are also steep with short steps. The interior could definitely use some upgrades to modernize the charming farmhouse.

Cooperstown All Star Village stay

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our kids, ages 13, 8, and 4, while our 13 year old played at Cooperstown All Star Village. I was a little concerned about the distance from Oneonta, but it wasn't a problem at all. The drive is 20-25 minutes, and it's a delight - winding country roads past red barns with no traffic. The very well-equipped kitchen allowed us to eat well during our stay, and the expansive property provided a tranquil place for down time between games and a place for the younger kids to play. I was also nervous about the lack of laundry facilities at the house, but there is a clean, very friendly laundromat close to the ball park - Clinton Plaza Laundry - that provides same-day laundry service, which worked beautifully. We very much enjoyed getting to know the helpful, kind, and knowledgeable caretaker, Jeff Bird. Cooperstown was amazing, and this property made our visit all the more special. Thank you, both Jeffs!

We loved our stay at Bear Hill Farm

We stayed at Bear Hill Farm the week our son played baseball at All Star Village. It was wonderful. The house is a beautifully restored farmhouse a lot of character. There was a bottle of Prosecco and a jar of jam waiting for us, which was such a nice touch. The caretaker, Jeff, checked in on us a few times. He is a very friendly person and we enjoyed hearing stories about the house and property when he stopped by. We loved the creek with 2 waterfalls out back which we could hear with the windows open at night. There were plenty of high quality towels in the upstairs bathroom and in each bedroom. The beds were comfortable with high quality linens. There was no air conditioning but it was not missed. There were fans in each bedroom but we didn't need to use them. The drive to All Star Village was 20-25 minutes but we looked forward to it because there were such pretty views on the way there. There is no cell service on the drive down so be sure to have the address of your destination before leaving the house. Wi-Fi calling worked perfectly while in the house. We would love to stay at Bear Hill Farm again in the future.

Beautiful cabin

We had a wonderful fall weekend in the cabin! The grounds are lovely and the area is restful with a few fun shops / restaurants. Highly recommend a visit when the leaves are changing!

Bearhill Farm ❤

Bearhill Farm is a little slice of heaven. Nestled in the mountains and situated on your own private arboretum with a babbling brook and waterfalls -- this is the place to relax and find inner peace. The house is well appointed, cozy, rustic, artsy and modern all at the same time. Beautiful kitchen -- Jeff left us a welcoming bottle of Prosecco and homemade mint jelly -- and views to die for of the beautiful yard. We enjoyed our coffee on the porch every morning. Even though it rained one day, it was still romantic to sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Jeff the owner and Jeff the Caretaker made sure our stay was perfect from check-in to check-out. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and blanket were soft and luxurious. I really cannot say enough good things about this special home. We definitely want to come back!! Thank you, Jeff ❤

Allstar Village Baseball

Excellent home for relaxing after our long days watching our son play baseball at Allstar Village for the week. The 35 minute drive to the fields was easy All the comforts of home. Excellent Home & Location

Jeff E. was a wonderful host and his property manager Jeff B. was just charming and incredibly helpful. Everyone insured that we had a great stay, made adjustments as necessary, and communication was always efficient and timely. The location of the house is absolutely stunning with a small stream that runs by the house that you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee at in the winter months and I imagine is quite delightful in the summer months as well. The decor in the house is very done very thoughtfully and include many wonderful light fixtures. The kitchen is just gorgeous and perfect for upstate. Thanks for having us!

Incredible fall experience in the loveliest of homes

I have just returned from a wonderful fall weekend at the Bear Hill Farm and I already cannot wait to be back. The property is tucked into a lovely corner of the Catskills, with so much beauty and nature around. The house has everything and more one could hope for. We spent a lot of the weekend cooking in the incredibly well-stocked kitchen. We had a lovely fire going, both outdoors on a pleasant evening and indoors on a cold, wet night. The beds were very comfortable and the whole house just oozed with charm. Jeff, the homeowner, was very responsive and extremely kind and considerate of our requests. Jeff, the caretaker, checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing trip away from their busy lives.

Cooperstown All Star Village week

We really enjoyed BHF. It is about a 30 min. Drive to CASV through dairy farms and beautiful Americans landscapes. We enjoyed being a little farther out for the chaos of baseball week and the property is really nice. It is a rustic farmhouse that has been meticulously maintained. The yard is gorgeous and relaxing. We would highly recommend it. We left one of our baseball pins on the wall for their collection. We did get to explore Delhi snd neighboring towns. Very cool. Thanks Jeff for a lovely, easy stay in the Catskills.
