The Flying Cloud is a wonderful place to stay, fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area with fireplace, comfortable bed and nice full bathroom with a tub big enough to soak in and that's just indoors. There is also lots of comfy outdoor seating as well. Diane is a very friendly and considerate host.
The cottage was warm, cozy and perfect! We enjoyed the fireplace and relaxing in the evenings with a glass of wine. It was very conveniently located for us to enjoy the area and visit many of the local wineries. We look forward to returning in the future!
My husband and I stayed at the Flying Cloud in mid-summer, and enjoyed this charming cottage and its location. The town is fun to explore with many shops and restaurants, as well as scenic vineyards to tour nearby. Diane was very responsive. We would definitely recommend!
We happily spent a long weekend at the Flying Cloud Cabin in Niagara on the Lake. It is so comfy and cute. Every detail was top notch. Comfortable beds and furniture. Clean. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking.
Even many books and magazines to enjoy while sitting in front of the gas fireplace. Close enough to walk down to the Lake front.
This property is extraordinary. So warm and inviting and everything you would need to feel at home. 200 steps to the lake with incredible sunsets. Host is readily available and happy to book wine tours, dinner reservations and anything you may need. Comfy beds and linens fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. What more could a person want!! Thank you Diane for making our trip so memorable â€ïž

We had a great stay at the Flying Cloud. When we arrived, Diane had the fireplace going, music playing, flameless candles throughout, and a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge! The cottage is small, but very nicely decorated and cozy. The hosts had stocked up with every amenity we could think of, even peanuts and apples for the squirrels and deer.
We we only a few houses down from the lakeshore at the end of the street and could see the Toronto skyline across the lake. There are lots of places to walk and we were very close to the historic downtown area. The Icewine Festival was going the weekend we were in town so that was fun!
Diane was very attentive about checking in to see if we needed anything, giving recommendations, or offering to make reservations. We'd really like to visit again in the summer when we can spend more time outdoors and will definitely be staying at the Flying Cloud!
The cottage was lovely - so well located on a quiet street in an amazing neighborhood, just a two minute walk to the lakeshore. Morning coffee sitting on the front porch was a great start to each day. Beautiful backyard, clean spaces, nice kitchen and bathroomâŠand a comfy bed - it was a wonderful four days we spent at the Flying Cloud. Thank-you.
The Flying Cottage is exactly like the pictures. Diane is the perfect hostess. The neighborhood is like living in a fairytale. I guarantee you will be saying these descriptions in your review. Book it and Enjoy it!
A very cute and well equipped home in a great neighborhood. We love the place. Diane is very helpful. Close to Lake Ontario and downtown NOTL. Very private and totally fenced in back yard. Comfortable beds! !

This was our first time staying at âThe Flying Cloudâ and NOTL and we had a fabulous time! This cozy cottage was the perfect â40th Anniversary Retreatâ! Diane made us feel so welcome and we truly appreciated all the special touches that were set up for our arrival. Diane was so friendly, caring, attentive and accommodating. She was always available and helpful with any questions we had. The cottage was immaculate, beautifully decorated, comfortable and super cozy. It truly was a peaceful, serene, relaxing and romantic oasis! We enjoyed many long walks along Lake Ontario (the sunsets were spectacular) and walks to the golf course and to town through the beautiful neighbourhood. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely, quiet backyard after a day of exploring beautiful NOTL (shops, winery, shows, etc.). Dianeâs kind hospitality was truly exceptional! We had an amazing time with so many treasured memories. "The Flying Cloud" is an absolute âgemâ and we look forward to returning someday! We highly recommend âThe Flying Cloudâ.
We had a lovely stay at the Flying Cloud. This cozy cottage served as a warm and inviting home base for a week long stay during our first visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The cottage is comfortably decorated and filled with personal touches. We especially loved spending time on the back porch listening to the birds and watching the squirrels play in the back yard. On rainy days we spent time on the enclosed front porch watching the clouds over the lake and reading. Chilly evenings were spent by the fire in the living room. The beds were quite comfortable and the space, including the thoughtfully designed bathroom, was just perfect for the two of us. Diane was an excellent host, adding special touches such as fresh flowers and a chilled bottle of local wine. Such a beautiful trip!
Diane is a wonderful and thoughtful host. She provides personal touches and does a great job making you feel welcome. She has a beautiful property. We really enjoyed our stay
Diane was fabulous! She was always communicating with us when we needed it. She left us a birthday surprise from local bakery. Cottage is warm, cozy and we didn't want for anything extra. Can't wait to go back.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Flying Cloud. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and cozy, and has a beautiful gas fireplace in the living room which kept the room warm and inviting. Diane, our host, was very helpful, she suggested places to eat and wineries to visit. We will certainly be returning for another visit!
Such a quaint, comfortable cottage within walking distance to Lake Ontario and close to historic Niagra-on-the-Lake. We enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed.
The property was in close proximity to the village of Niagara on the Lake as well as easy to get to other areas.
The cottage was perfect. Comfortable and clean and the hostess was fantastic in responding to any questions we had. We plan on staying there again when we get the chance.
Diane goes above and beyond to insure you have a wonderful stay at Flying Cloud. This is our third time staying here and we would do it again in a heartbeat. The location is exceptional, just steps from the Lake and the most beautiful sunsets. It felt like coming home for us. Thank you Diane!
Being a seventh generation native to Niagara-on-the-Lake, & having grown up here, I have experienced the vast changes from a sleepy hollow to a thriving tourist town. One aspect that remains to this day within our village, is the historic beauty... accompanied by the breath-taking geographic location, and the warm, friendly sense of community.
Situated on one of the prettiest streets in one of the "Prettiest Towns in Canada", I instantly fell in love with this enchanting cottage.....the dark green woods shading it & the sweet smell of cedar upon entering the front porch. A feeling of peace & tranquility swept over me & I knew I was home.
The minute walk to the ever changing lake & magnificent sunsets make the Flying Cloud unique in every season ! Chautauqua was always, & remains to be the "magical" cottage area of town. At the turn of the century it housed the Chautauqua Ampitheatre in the centre hub of it's spoked street design....providing live theatre & entertainment to cottagers, town folk, & tourists throughout the summers.
