Conveniently located within 10 miles of popular venues: Hidden Springs Venue, The Barn at Beechtree Farm, Views at Sunset Ridge, The Gray Dove, Bell Mill Mansion, & Mountain Oaks Manor.

Pool is open from the mid-April time frame to mid-October time frame, weather permitting. NO LIFEGUARD is on duty. Leave gate closed and latched at all times. 98% of pools in Tennessee are NOT heated but our pool cover helps hold in heat rather than letting the colder air affect it so keep cover on always when not in use. Owner/host has zero liability for any pool or other accidents.

Enjoyable Stay with Thoughtful Host Support

We had a great stay at this home and really enjoyed a full week of swimming, relaxing, and spending time with friends and family. The check-in and check-out process had clear instructions made everything simple.When we first arrived, we did notice that the previous guests had left behind some pet waste in the yard. I reached out to the host, and he was extremely responsive and communicative. He personally came out the next day to clean it up and also had the lawn mowed after seeing the grass had gotten a bit overgrown. Overall, the property had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable getaway, and the host’s responsiveness made a big difference. We’d definitely stay again!

Nice place but a number of issues

We enjoyed our annual family week at this house. The screened in porch and pool were the clear highlights. We were a little put off by the long list of rules sent to us without any type of welcome. And then when we got to the house we had issues with the internet, flooded basement, no propane in grill tanks, gas grill was old and bottom had fallen out due to rust. The large clock in the living room did not work. We also were given quite limited garbage bags, paper towels and toilet paper. When we informed the owner he got defensive and challenged a number of our complaints. But he did get a handyman out the next day who was very accommodating and took care of the issues. The kitchen was not well stocked with only 5 matching plates for a house advertising 8 people. Older frying pans where everything stuck to the pan. But the house was clean and we enjoyed are time there despite these minor inconveniences.

Beautiful home, a few issues

The setting of the home is beautiful. The property is really fairly private with the exception of the neighbor to the right side of the property. The inside is immaculate and the location is close to 75 so you can enjoy the country setting but have easy access to Chattanooga and surrounding areas. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked if you wanted to cook. The pool is large but during our stay there was no power to the filter. We returned one day to the pool full of grass and leaves from yard maintenance and had to skim the pool the best we could. The rules for house state that the air temp should not be set below 72 degrees, but the house rules posted in the house state not below 76 degrees. This is a bit warm for me although there are ceiling fans available. The water pressure is not amazing so the showers are on the weak side. The owner did request access to the property but did not come into the house at our request and did not return to the property during our stay. The listing shared that the yard is fenced and it is, but be aware that there is a hole in the fence in the back corner of the property so if you have dogs with you, they may find these holes and get loose. Our dogs are always looking to make a break for it! Overall, these were minor issues that did not greatly impact our stay.

Not what we expected

Sent a message to the owner after hurricane Helene devastated parts of North Carolina. We were arriving in just a few weeks and wanted to make sure everything was OK. The owner assured us that there was no damage to the property. He stated “ All fine no issues” We arrived on October 6th and to our surprise found that the property had a flood and the flooring was ripped out and the third bathroom was inoperable. No flooring in lower play room, or lower bathroom. Rex did get a plumber in the next morning to put the bathroom back into working order, but no flooring. Over the week we found other items that needed repairs: Kitchen faucet can't turn off, drinking water tank does not work, the dishwasher leaks, only one burner works on the stove, frying pans were unusable, had to buy cookware, tiny microwave - cup size. There are no dressers in bedrooms, and one room is 2 twins pushed together and is not a king as noted, no light bulbs in ceiling fans, TV in master not hooked up to wifi and not usable. We did not use the pool or firepit. I hate leaving a bad review but this place just deserved it. It's a shame cuz it's a beautiful property if the owner would just put a little money into it and keep it up. I would have been more understanding if he would have called me ahead of time and told me that the issues were there, but the fact we showed up with no notice was just not right.

We first want to say we are sorry for you being displaced by the hurricane; however, we do want to address a few points. Yes, when you messaged us about the home after the hurricane, we should have communicated further about two things. The first was that we were impacted at the exact same time by both Hurricanes Helene and Milton in Florida as our 8 homes were destroyed and we were focused on cleaning up the 3 feet of sand and 4 feet of seawater in the 8 homes... The second is that we should have taken time to explain the state of the downstairs. However, this was not due to the unfortunate hurricanes but was due to the HVAC condensation line that caused a large flood downstairs the week prior and we wanted to quickly prevent mold so the floors were pulled due to this HVAC issue and the concrete needed to air out and be treated before the new flooring could be installed. As you are aware, the first two bedrooms downstairs were already completed with new flooring and the large "game room" had been started. The downstairs bathroom was addressed immediately the next morning but the guest did not acknowledge that. The kitchen faucet was not something that anyone else had reported; therefore, as soon as we were made aware of it, it was fixed immediately the following week. Our contractor came by and addressed the downstairs bathroom & walked upstairs to the kitchen to address the faucet in the kitchen. We ordered a new kitchen faucet the very next day and it was immediately changed. As for the "drinking water tank," we honestly don't know what the guest is talking about as we have never had one... Again, the kitchen dishwasher was not something that anyone else had reported; however, now that you have brought it to our attention, we will look into it. As for the "only one burner works on the stove" - I don't know what the guest is talking about, this is NOT TRUE and makes us wonder if the guest stayed at two homes that week are talking about a different home??? You mentioned the pots/pans were "unusable" - Brand new pots & pans were ordered on 9/9/24 and were delivered on 9/13/24, so we are not sure as to what the guest is talking about. Again, I think they are talking about a different home... The Microwave is "cup size"????? what in the world!!!! No, it's a standard size microwave. Yes you can pop popcorn, heat your coffee, place left over boxes in it... The dressers/closets downstairs was voiced but they said it was "no big deal, as they we will make do".... now apparently, its a big deal. There is a 2 drawer nightstand in the first bedroom under the TV and then there is a rolling clothes rack in the middle room, but there are no hangers. No light bulbs in ceiling fans" - Again, this was brought it to our attention when our contractor came, and we have since replaced it. The TV in the master is hooked up to Wi-Fi and is usable. Very confused by this review as all our other guests love our home and pool and fire pit area and fenced yard for dogs and high-speed internet, and beautiful trees, etc. One star is completely unwarranted and totally inconsistent with all our other reviews on both platforms!
