Oceanside Acadia Artist's Studio with high end finishes and local character
Cozy oceanside bungalow in the heart of Acadia National Park. Reclaimed hardwood floors, shiplap siding, and cozy fireplace alongside a queen bed, kitchenette with oversized countertop, breakfast bar, separate dining area, patio, and -- best of all -- beautiful views of a private cove by Acadia National Park with a classic Maine boatyard. Nearby all Park amenities, including hiking, boating, sightseeing, shopping and dining in Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor. Relaxing setting with easy access to all that Acadia has to offer!
We were looking for someplace to get away from busy jobs and slow down. This checked all the boxes. It was so quiet we had to adjust. Location was perfect as it was close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor to allow easy access but far enough away that you never saw the crowds. Hosts were very accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay and were very impressed with the many amenities provided. Bed was very comfortable and entire studio was very clean and newly maintained.
What a wonderful little gem! The space is petite but incredibly well designed, with all the comforts you might need, including a surprisingly good little washer/dryer. The studio was immaculate with every inch used thoughtfully a from a functional perspective, but also an eye for beauty. There were large windows around half the cabin that let lots of air and light in and made it feel like âglampingâ in the trees because of its location on the larger property. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The space is renovated and really well done. It is so quiet and peaceful overlooking the water. If you donât mind not being in the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place for you. We were close to hikes in the area we wanted to do and did trips into the surrounding towns including Bar Harbor. The host, Joy, was very responsive and gave great advice on places/things to do and our trip into Bar Harbor. The only few things is that the wifi can be a bit spotty, one of the light/fan fixtures was not working (informed Joy), and the stairs to the cove were not useable as they were being re-done. I was a bit bummed we couldnât get down to the water and utilize the beach. Overall, itâs a really beautiful studio, location and I would recommend!
College graduation Acadia hiking trip for my daughter
We were lucky to be the very first guests to stay at this new listing. The unit was spotless, and the listing was very accurate to what was available (with the exception of the cove which was not accessible during our stay due to stair access being repaired). The unit was more secluded, but was located in the back yard of the main house. It was about 30- 35 minutes from Acadia Welcome Center and Bar Harbor, which was where we spent most of our time. The owner was friendly and easy to contact and provided helpful information about the local area. We had a wonderful time during our Acadia hiking trip!
We are experienced travel hosts, developing our first short-term rentals in 1999. We both grew up in the Northeast United States, and have traveled extensively throughout the US, Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We enjoy quality accommodations ourselves. We appreciate extra thoughtfulness that can make a stay more pleasant, and strive to give that experience to you!
We love the Quiet Side of Acadia, where you can enjoy everything that Acadia has to offer without being in the hustle of the traffic and crowds of Bar Harbor all day and night. We capitalize on our more than 20 years of experience as guest cottage owners in New England to bring you a warm cottage experience in one of America's most beautiful National Parks. An oceanfront setting, the comforts and conveniences of home, and access to a greater range of activities than you can possibly pursue in a week's time combine to give you a vacation experience that youâll treasure for years to come.
The Bungalow is convenient to all that Acadia has to offer, without being directly in the noise and traffic of Bar Harbor. You are directly on the water, and can enjoy privacy, ocean views, and explore the Park at your leisure.
