Chalet en bord de mer avec 200 pieds de plage de galets privée avec une belle vue sur Western Bay et les montagnes du parc national d'Acadia. Situé sur 3/4 acres, ce chalet est idéalement situé dans un cadre calme et boisé à seulement 10 miles du parc national d'Acadia et à 12 miles de Bar Harbor. Cottage dispose de 2 chambres, salon, salle de bain, cuisine avec appareils modernes et petite véranda pour le petit déjeuner. Depuis le porche ou la terrasse, profitez du lever du soleil sur les montagnes ou de la beauté du clair de lune sur l'eau.

A cosy, peaceful coastal getaway

We just loved this cottage! Acadia is so busy in summer, but coming « home » to this cottage was so relaxing. I spent lots of time inside relaxing, reading and drawing, and outside gazing at the water and looking at rocks and shells. It’s a perfect retreat for a simple person like me. I loved the « camp » feeling and cosy wood everywhere. Thank you for letting us stay!

Quiet, quaint, & beautiful

This cottage made our trip to Maine much more enjoyable. My family and I savored waking up bayside to sunsets, relaxing on the porch, exploring the beach at low tide, and skipping rocks. The interior was neat, well-furnished, and comfy, and the kitchen was equipped with all the appliances we needed to cook meals. Even the rooms' decor (paintings of Maine, lobster and moose puppets, newspaper cartoons hung on the fridge etc. ) made us glad to be here! Our location was also ideal: only a 10-15 min. drive to Ellsworth (restaurants, supermarkets, etc.), and about 35 min. from most hikes in the park (about 20. min from Bar Harbor). Trenton also had three lobster pounds, which were convenient when we wanted to get take-out. Pat was very responsive and helpful throughout, and we're grateful she shared her home with us. Thank you!

Host was very welcoming. Cottage was very neat, clean, and had a well-stocked kitchen. Great place for quiet contemplation and relaxing. Fantastic base to explore the wonders of Acadia and Maine. Highly recommended!

This was the perfect cottage for a peaceful getaway near Acadia National Park. The cottage is located on a small hill, directly next to the ocean, with steps to get down to the shoreline. The East facing windows made for amazing sunrises every morning, and it was so quiet. I hope to stay again the next time I visit.

Very nice cabin/cottage. Everything was wonderful. It overlooks water and the sunrises were amazing.

Perfect small cottage with easy stairs down to Goose Cove/MtDesert Narrows. Early morning sunrises over Cadillac mountain, viewed from the deck. Birdwatching heaven. New cabin with a well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, game, books, maps and guides and Maine artwork. Short and easy drive to Acadia and Mt Desert Island. Responsive hosts who obviously love this gem. A perfect 10. I hope to return someday.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. Very nice cabin with everything you need in a quiet and beautiful location. Very close to great places to eat and the park. The property was in close proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The view from the property is why we selected this cabin. The unit was well equipped and maintained. Great communication with the owner.

A wonderful week

Lovely and relaxing cottage with spectacular views. The Banach’s concern during the heat wave was appreciated, but the cottage stayed cool and breezy. The cottage was very clean and well stocked. All amenities were as described. A relaxing and quiet week.

Idyllic cottage overlooking water

The Banachs have created a beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting overlooking the water. The cottage was very clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The Banachs were attentive and responsive hosts. Will likely request to stay again in the future!

The view was amazing, the home was divine, and the location couldn't be beat. We wanted to visit all three aspects of Acadia, and our stay put us close enough to everything. For our stay, it was perfectly peaceful, perfectly located, and perfectly set up for all your home-away-from-home needs.

We had a wonderful stay at the Banach cottage from May 31-June 7, 2025 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! Everything was clean and comfortable and as described online. We especially enjoyed being on the water and watching the eagles, gulls, loons, and seals directly out from the front deck. Luckily for us, the weather was nearly perfect with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. We had one minor issue that was out of anyone's control, but the owners went above and beyond to address this very quickly.During the stay, we saw both the sunrise and sunset on Cadillac Mtn, ate at Jordan Pond, stopped at nearly all of the points of interest in Acadia, hiked Raven's Nest and the Schoodic Peninsula, went whale watching, and even took a day-trip to Lubec, Campobello, and St. Andrews, NB. Not to mention all of the shopping and lobster rolls in and around Bar Harbor! Needless to say, it was wonderful to have such a great (and quiet) place to come back to every evening after such long days :).We would 100% stay here again should our travels bring us back to Downeast Maine. Thank you to the Banach's for building and maintaining such a perfect cottage in a perfect location. It helped create many memories for both of us!

Beautiful setting

We had a wonderful time on the Bay! After time hiking and exploring Acadia and nearby sights it was great to settling into this quiet spot and watch the tides and see the wildlife. The kitchen is well appointed and we had everything we needed to cook good meals. When an unexpected noreaster came through late in the season the owner helped us to prep incase of a power outage. We gratefully did not have that occur, but it was comforting to be prepared. Great clean and well appointed space and we want to come back sometime.

Great stay near Acadia

We were very happy with our stay at the Oceanfront cottage. It is a newer house with fabulous views of the mountains and on the water with steps down to a rocky sandy beach. It had everything we needed to prepare meals and was so comfortable and quiet. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was an easy 15-20 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I would stay here again if we are in the area.

So idyllic!

This one- level cabin meet all of our needs as we explored Arcadia National Park. The space was well stocked and the owners are responsive - couldn't ask for more! It was rainy most of our stay and the cabin was cozy but the view of the water was breath-taking!

Relaxing week

The oceanfront cottage was a perfect place to spend a relaxing week. Easy access to Acadia, quiet location, beautiful views of the sunrise over MDI, and a great kitchen for cooking. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Bob and Pat are recently retired. Pat was a librarian and Bob worked in the insurance industry. We enjoy sharing our special place in Maine with guests. We have owned, managed, and rented this property since 1987. In 2023/24 we razed our beloved cabin and built a new small house which captures the charm of a Maine cabin. We use this cottage ourselves as do our adult children. This is not a bare bones rental, but one we share with those who are seeking a quiet Maine experience. Because we use the cabin ourselves, we hope it has all the amenities you need.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We love the peace and quiet on our 200 feet of private beach. We love the view across the bay to the mountains of Acadia National Park. We love watching the sunrise from the bedroom and the living/dining room, and the moon on the water at night. And we love watching to see a glimpse of seals in the bay.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor but away from the crowds in a quiet peaceful spot. Also convenient to Ellsworth for dining, grocery shopping and supplies.
