Cette belle maison dispose de toutes les commodités que vous avez voulu pour tout l'hiver! 6 belles chambres (2 suites de maître), une piscine privée cristalline, et un terrain de volley-ball est juste le début de ce que vous ferez l'expérience de Dolphin's Delight.
Attraper quelques rayons sur le pont nid du corbeau avec vue sur l'océan ainsi que de superbes vues sonores et couchers de soleil. Grimpez au sommet du phare de Corolla et retourner à un nid-de-pie pour voir votre accomplissement ou se détendre et observer les étoiles dans le bain à remous. Great location. Close to the beach. Pictures on website need to be updated to match furniture. Only issues we had were 1. Whene we checked in and got to beach house cleaning crew where still there 40 minutes after checkin. 2. All the carpets were wet from cleaning 3. One of the rooms listed a day bed with a trundle bed underneath, but had a twin bed instead

Family + beach = fun vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great. It only took about five minutes to walk to the beach entrance. The pool was wonderful with lots of floaties. The house was wonderful with many options for an extended family to be comfortable. The rental company was very responsive and helpful. The house and furniture need updating along with new carpeting/flooring. Even with those negatives, we thoroughly enjoyed out time in Coralla. We cannot wait to visit the OBX again.

An “ok” stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the house did serve us well to have a place to stay at the beach, it was overall in GREAT need of updates! There is not enough seating for how many people the house holds, nor was the furniture comfortable and some were broken. The couch sunk in badly in the middle. The carpet looks like it is 10+ years old and desperately needs to be cleaned. Every part of the deck but especially the railing could give you and your kids plenty of splinters if not careful as it’s splintering and peeling all over. The beds are also awful, they are not comfortable and creek terribly, waking up my little one a lot who slept in our room. The rental company itself was amazing! The house just needs some major help!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived on Saturday, waw able to check in and enter the place at 4pm. The place had not been cleaned yet. It does say in the contract that it could he till 7pm till the place gets cleaned. I called the office and they were quick to get back to me. We decided to go to dinner until the place was cleaned. (I'm guessing thats what people do?). On our way out the cleaners were pulling in. After dinner we arrived at Dolphins Delight. As you can imagine the place was much better when cleaned. I got three cables back from the office apologizing for the mix up and they refunded our pet fee. The place it's self is okay. Looks like they are doing some repairs. The furniture in the living room was not what was pictured but served it's purpose. There were wetsuits on the ceiling. The outside of the house needs some work. Looks like they are repairing the deck. The pool was nice. We loved the hot tub. The location was good. All in all the place has a nice vibe to it. We like the area. Hope to visit again next year.

The location is very good but the condition of the house was poor. Beds were uncomfortable, couch I believe has a broken support in the seat. The entire house smelled - the smell in one closet was so bad we had to keep it closed. The house sleeps 12 on checkin you get one roll of toilet paper! The deck had loose railings and spongey boards.

Pool furniture is old, dirty, & ******. Screened in porch had more screens TORN than in place. Gates didn't work. Deck was in need of a power washing. Porch furniture was old and ******. Bathrooms were tiny. Living room furniture was SO UNCOMFORTABLE. House was dirty. Garbage was left behind when we got there. Cleaning service had spilled food on the decks all the way down the stairs. AC was weak at best. We had a great trip DESPITE this house.Website listing is a complete lie.So not worth the $. Not that anyone will care.

Not a great experience

Reviewer Comments: We booked a two week stay in Whalehead Beach through Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals in July. This was an older home and we knew from the rental pictures that we were not expecting a modern and updated home. However, we did expect a clean and well taken care of home, which was not the case. When we arrived, we found cobwebs all over the dining room chandelier, filthy screens, broken or missing chairs in the porch room and pool area, dark light bulbs, a ruined volleyball net, and a pool deck and lawn that were not well taken care of. Furthermore, there were also small items that bothered us such as limited (and cheap) deck chairs with no tables, and no toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms. And the dated two section couch in the living room was in horrible condition, with stains and tears throughout the couch. We called the rental company right away to get some of these items fixed, and it took almost a week, having to call three times to get some of these items taken care of, and what we got was the bare minimum. I get it that everyone is short staffed, but we expected more and were very disappointed in the upkeep of the house as well as the service levels. I wonder if the owners know the level of focus their house is getting.

Nothing fancy but very nice

The house was very clean when we got there. There are a few small things some might quibble with: ice makers don’t work, kitchen lacked some things like dish towels and a rack for drying dishes, we had to ask for a broom, and the hot tub cover is broken, but the pool is nice, the linens were on the beds when we got there, and it’s soooo close to the beach! It’s not fancy but it was a good place for us. Only big concern is that when it rained hard some of the doors leaked water in and made for squishy carpets.

Reviewer Comments: We had a good time, but the house is in serious need of attention. None of the refrigerators had ice makers, there were spider webs inside and outside, the pool area furniture was dirty, and the one dresser in our master bedroom was broken. We were told that the house would be updated with the new ownership, but many of these issues were reported before.

Nice location but house is dirty and in disrepair.

The carpet and floors were so dirty I wasn't comfortable in bare feet at all. Deck is really worn and I had to remove a splinter from one guest who walked out there in bare feet. I was nervous walking on the outside stairs as they are really worn. Couches are stained and uncomfortable. Kitchen was pretty good. Back yard is a pit, don't expect to use the volleyball net as its all broken. Pool is nice. Location is great, quick walk to beach. Quiet street. House needs some serious TLC.

Family beach trip

We booked this place for a family beach trip with my 3 adult children, husband, toddler, mother-in-law and dog. The pros- the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was great for a large number of people. The pool was really nice and great for adults and the toddler. Outdoor shower was great to rinse off sand and warm water meant the toddler tolerated it. Short walk to the beach and beach was wide and new ramp meant fewer stairs. Cons- the carpet desperately needs to be replaced. The carpet in the entry was wet when we arrived and reminded wet the entire time even though we dried off before going inside. It smelled like bad BO in the stair well going to the top floor, likely due to the carpet. Many dressers were missing handles making them unusable. Such an easy fix, bit really characterized the place. It needs a lot of TLC and a deep clean.

Such a “Delight”!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The name of this property definitely compliments the home, it was such a delight staying here! We booked this vacation rental through Carolina Shores for my mom’s birthday/mother’s day celebration and it did not disappoint! The house itself was located in a quiet community with a private backyard, even enough grass area for our furbabies to run around and enjoy! The property is very close to the best shopping and local restaurants. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes, super close to the walking path that accommodated our wagon which pulled all of our beach necessities. The house was very tidy and well cared for. The hot tub and pool were well maintained and the “pool boys” were awesome in attending to the cleaning. Working with Carolina Shores staff couldn’t have been easier as they were very responsive prior to booking our stay and during our entire stay at this property. I cannot say enough good things and am looking forward to booking our visit for next year!

DC Visitors to OBX

When we arrived to the home there was a for sale sign out front. Didn’t think much of it until we walked in. It’s definitely not the nicest house in the neighborhood but it got the job done for our group. THE LOCATION WAS AMAZING! Full stop. 500 ft from the water and an easy street to walk up and down on. Certain things were annoying though. The dish washer never really fully cleaned or the fridge that failed to make ice. But the big negative was the last day as we were leaving, a weird smell was coming from the lower floor and it smelt horrific. It was most likely the septic tank because the shower and bath clogged constantly on the first floor and I guess it just gave up on the last day. So the for sale sign makes sense because this place needs and deserves some TLC.

Could have been cleaner

Reviewer Comments: The location of the house was great, short distance to the beach. Enjoyed the pool on the property. The house definitely can use some cleaning and upgrading. All the blankets on the beds were so dusty we could not use them. Carpets have seen better days stains everywhere. Screens were broken, on all levels. Couch on lower level was torn apart a lot of the leather was off the cushion and back of couch. Main level couch and love seat were stained and ripped up. We put a bed sheet to cover them. House was big enough for out group. Pictures were deceiving, back yard was a dump said there was a volleyball net nothing but garbage and overgrown weeds. Cigarette butts everywhere, driveway and screened porch. Definitely need to be cleaned more. Don't think I will stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
