Ivy Cottages is an enchanting retreat nestled in the heart of Ivy, Virginia just outside of Charlottesville. The site once known as Albemarle County's “First Modern Hotel” circa 1938 has been beautifully revived into its newest iteration and Ivy's newest retreat.
The retreat is comprised of 5 meticulously restored cottages (soon to be 8), seated on a private, gentle knoll, drawing inspiration from the idyllic charm and character of English country cottages merged with the warmth of southern hospitality. Our intent is to offer the comforts of home, while also providing convenience, privacy, and an ability to cater to your unique travel needs. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or looking to accommodate a large wedding or reunion party, our charming, fully-equipped cottages can adapt to whatever your needs may be.

Each cottage is uniquely decorated and furnished to create a bespoke, character-rich home away from home, while also providing all the amenities needed to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. These features, coupled with our central location which puts you within ten minutes of all the best attractions in our beautiful region, make Ivy Cottages both a stunning destination in and of itself, as well as the best jumping-off point to experience all central Virginia has to offer.
Kent at Ivy Cottages is the last cottage in from the entrance to the grounds and our coziest little cottage.

Kent is a delightful little haven at the end of the row of cottages. Painted in a rosie pink and decorated with touches of warm wood and black ironware, the cottage envelopes you in a soft glow both homey and charming. Offering a quaint kitchen, queen bed, and large back deck with our best view of the neighboring farm, Kent is a petite space with a big impact. A true getaway providing privacy and character.

**Notice** - we are very excited and pleased to be able to offer these 5 cottages to our future guests at this time, but the grand plan for Ivy Cottages is still in progress, which we cannot wait to share with everyone. There will be some times that construction work will be going on, however, we have arranged the work to only be completed during the weekdays between 9:30 am - 5:00 pm and No Construction of the weekends in a concerted effort to not disrupt our guests during this time. We felt it important to share this information with you and we appreciate your understanding as we work towards completing our vision.
