Perfect

The Wild Azalea House is beautiful, peaceful and conveniently located. It offered a retreat while being close to many activities. If we return to the area, it will be the first property we look to book!

Great retreat.

Excellent place to hang out for a family/couple retreat. We used it as a base to explore the NOVA area. It’s a little far for the Dulles/Tyson area, but western areas were fine. Beds were very comfortable. No cell coverage, but non issue with WiFi. Movie projector and sauna were nice touches! Would stay again.

Wonderful!

This property was perfect for us, and the host is very kind, helpful and incredibly prompt. The home itself is beautiful, secluded, quiet and perfectly clean. Each room had a theme that was curated down to the smallest details. Kitchen was stocked, the beds were incredibly comfortable to sleep in. 10/10 property. NoSauna and fire pit were an added bonus!

A Perfect Getaway

My family and I (including our senior dog) truly loved our stay at this chalet! It looked much bigger inside than we anticipated and had plenty of room for party of 5. We arrived to a very clean chalet, with a nice gift and very clear instructions & useful information about our stay in a booklet. The record player & projector screens were a nice touch! Made for the best movie nights. You can tell each area of the house was thoughtfully designed and decorated.The necessary equipment was there for us to bake smores cookies and make dinner each night. Even the deck area and sauna were a nice, quiet space to unwind. Great spot for family or couples romantic getaway.We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed staying at Gretchen's beautiful, quiet, cozy chalet, which was clean and roomy and stocked well with towels, toiletries etc. We enjoyed the chalet's gorgeous large window views in the living room. The home housed a media projector and a large screen, which served as a television. Thankfully, my son has technical skills and set this up for us. We appreciated the welcome board message that greeted our family and the very nice welcome gift for us, chocolate and a Shenandoah handbag! Gretchen is also very responsive to guest needs, kind, and patient. She works out arising issues in a fair and understanding manner as well. For instance, we had to cancel and reschedule our initial visit due to a medical cause and Gretchen assisted with the switch without questions or complaints. Furthermore, when my husband accidentally broke the coffee pot at the Chalet, Gretchen kindly accepted our apologies. Gretchen is an exemplary host! I believe that others will appreciate her as they stay at her wonderful restful Chalet.
