Absolutely gorgeous home, so glad the owners allow others to visit and enjoy their beautiful property. The house is beautifully decorated and full of entertainment for the entire family. We enjoyed just taking in the views and watching the deer. Hope to return soon!

King of the Forest was just perfect for our family, 3 adults and two grandkids. Beautiful view of the mountains for me, arcade games for the kids, and an outdoor kitchen with grills and a smoker - our former chef son was loving it! Kitchen was well stocked, better than any rental we’ve had before. An outdoor fire pit allowed the kids to enjoy s’mores, and the outdoor sitting area with a TV was a favorite as well. The playground for the kids, as well as the pool and tennis courts, was a bit of a distance from the house, but is on the way to anything you may want to do outside the resort. Owner is very quick to respond to any question we had. Highly recommend!

Beautiful property with absolutely breathtaking views. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time, including our dog! The home was wheelchair accessible, which made the stay comfortable for our family, and the game room was a huge hit (even got our 78-year-old dad playing).Just a heads-up for future guests: the drive is a bit adventurous since the home is in the mountains, but it’s completely worth it once you arrive. We would definitely stay here again.

46th Anniversary Getaway!

Our stay at King of The Forest Lodge was amazing. The mountain views were spectacular. Great area to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets in the outdoor space. The yard out back was great for walking around; we were not limited to a deck or patio only for entertainment. There wasn’t a lot of traffic around so it was quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. This home provided ample room for family to enjoy time together, watching TV and football, cooking and eating together, doing puzzles, and playin* in the game room. Our vacation was a great experience here and we will likely book again.

Most Amazing Place!

My family and I try to meet in the mountains 2 to 3 times a year and have been doing that for the last 10 years. This house is by far the coolest place we have ever stayed. It had the most magnificent view that was completely panoramic at least 180° View of the mountains unobstructed . Additionally, it has so many amenities we enjoyed! It’s a perfect location for a group or a girls weekend or a family gathering. The weather was beautiful while we were there though a little chilly so we made good use of the fireplace but they have so much to offer you Can enjoy this place in any weather.

Perfect seclusion & amazing property

We can’t say enough about how beautiful this property is. Such a fantastic view and awesome features are included here like indoor and outdoor fireplaces, sauna/cold plunge/hot tub, and an outdoor kitchen. We spend a lot of time outside at home and this place was perfect for us. This is the absolute perfect location if you’re trying to just unplug and get away from life during your trip. The property owners were amazing and had everything we needed on site. No bringing firewood with you like most properties and no crazy cleaning instructions upon leaving too. We travel a lot and have stayed at a ton of rentals and these folks have it figured out. 10/10 property with 10/10 customer service!

I've stayed at many places and this place had one of the prettiest views.The view was 5 Stars and some of the home amenities were awesome too, like the massage chair and game room.However; apon arrival we discovered the AC unit above kitchen was leaking all over the place. We contacted the owner and he prompted us to turn it off and we used main AC Unit for a while but then leaks started coming from ceiling in other areas of kitchen and in dining area also. I was told HVAC guy would come out but he never showed. We ended up just turning all the air off because I wanted to look out for the owner's property and avoid the family having water damage. So myself and my guest sweated out the night, which sucked and we were actually ready to leave early in the morning. I know this was out of the owners control, but not one time did I get an apology for the inconvenience which was not cool being that I spent a lot of money on the place. We didn't even take our kids down to the pool because we were thinking HVAC person was coming and we didn't want to leave the home in case they showed up, which never happened. I feel like if the AC worked and owner was more empathetic about the inconvenience this would have been a 5 star place.
