Excellent facility.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Much of what we experienced was wonderful. However, we had terrible neighbors this year who insisted on partying until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. Even when we spoke to them it did not change. Moorings also spoke with them after the police were called by other residents.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at the Moorings at least 25 times, just returned after several year absence. Unit was very nice, although I would describe it as a little “tired”. Rugs could use replacing. The kitchen was somewhat disorganized, there was really no place to put groceries. Very few wine glasss and smaller glasses. Loved the newer and higher quality linens. Loved the food trucks! Everyone in the office was super helpful. Already booked for next year!

Moorings Still Great Resort Amid Rebuild

Reviewer Comments: Sanibel in general is still rebuilding from Hurricane Ian in 2022, but Sanibel Moorings is one of the first, if not the only, resorts open already. The resort is still in the process of rebuilding but is doing its best for certain. Hospitality and location still is great. Will have to bear with a few differences during the renovations from prior stays, such as not having the provided umbrella service at the beach, the south side laundry is being rebuilt, lower floor units are being rebuilt.But knowing that going in, Sanibel Moorings still improves daily in the rebuild and does its best during the circumstances, but will continue to improve daily from the time I wrote this post in August 2024 to the time a person reads this and books a reservation!

Reviewer Comments: Coming to The Moorings has been special for me for thirty years and this year was even more as it was a tribute to the amazing work having been done to recover from Ian’s assault. Major Kudos to Kari who is steering the efforts, assisted by Andi and Bill, who like old friends were there to greet me upon arrival and help whenever necessary. Add to this a great grounds crew. It was a lovely visit, I’ve already booked next year’s visit. I recommend you come to The Moorings soon and enjoy the beautiful beaches and surroundings that will charm you as it has me for many years.

The whole property was absolutely beautiful with perfectly manicured plants, trees and flowers all around. EVERY employee we saw was so friendly and polite. We appreciated the free use of beach chairs and umbrellas. The pool was very nice too. Can’t say enough about this this fabulous property and staff.

Relaxing Stay

We'd never been to Sanibel before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but we really enjoyed our stay at Sanibel Moorings! We were a bit squished for a family of 5 (had to fit 3 kids into two twin beds) but the condo was decorated lovely and the location couldn't be beat. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Unit and grounds are absolutely beautiful. My only complaint was tile cutting going on for an owner's remodeling. This went on for the entire day of February 14th till 5 p.m. making the balcony unusable. Other people complained as well i understand. This is unacceptable during high season.

Perfect vacation location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sanibel Moorings from the condo to the botanic tour to quiet time on the beach. The unit was spotless and fully supplied to cook, enjoy the view and relax. The resort staff were friendly & helpful and seem to be really happy working there. Robin did a wonderful job introducing us to the varied plantings on the botanic tour and added info about the resort's amenities and services along the way. The gentleman we checked in with was genuinely interested in informing us of all sorts of details about the resort and Sanibel. It was such a wonderful experience on many levels. We hope to be back next year!
