We had a terrible experience renting to this renter, who is not welcome to return! After immediately responding to this guest's claims on multiple occasions (including within minutes of her first report on Friday), it was found that the A/C in the unit was functioning perfectly, as certified by three different professionals (including an outside contractor) on three separate occasions. In fact, the system was functioning better than the acceptable range each and every time we responded. It is unreasonable to expect the air temperature to reach 60 degrees (as stated by the guest) when the outside temperature is more than 93 degrees with 78% humidity and real-feel temperatures over 115 degrees. The unit came equipped with functioning ceiling fans in every room and the unit temperature never raised above 75 degrees during this guests stay. If there had been a REAL issue, we would have bent over backwards to accommodate this guest as we always do (we respond to multiple A/C outages every single day!) This guests behavior towards staff was aggressive, threatening and rude. No one was ever rude to this guest at any time. Until she demanded her money back and reimbursement for her fans, everyone bent over backwards for her. We are the #1 Resort on Sanibel because of our customer service reputation and because we go above and beyond for our guests, just like we did for her despite her unreasonable expectations. Sanibel Moorings does not bend when faced with blackmailing internet bullies. Fellow hoteliers and vacation rental managers, be careful when renting to this person and her affiliates!
