The Lake Hut - a perfect place to relax and play on shore of Lake Whatcom
Enjoy this lakeside setting on Lake Whatcom with access to paddleboards and kayaks, sit on the lakeside bench, and start the morning by the water edge before you head off to work. Quiet enjoyment at the end of a private road, great access to mountain biking trails, and hiking.
Inside, you'll find a tasteful and modern design that is neat and tidy. The spacious great room with an island to gather around, and a large dining area for fun with loved ones. The large 4x5 shower in the bathroom is sure to please. There is a beautiful simplicity that surrounds you.
Stay here to connect with the PNW: the lake, the hiking, the mountain biking and much more.
Loved this beautiful wooded cabin with view of the lake; kayaks paddeboards were included and loads of fun. The cabin was beautifully decorated and well-appointed with everything we needed.
Way beyond expectations. Was able to fully enjoy the lake with kayaks and SUPs. Frank coffe on the dockâitâs a bit precarious, but I never got wet. I would love to make this an annual trip to my favorite destination.
This property is immaculate and well appointed with easy lake access & views in a private wooded neighborhood. We look forward to staying here again when we are next in town. Thanks Jan!
We were very happy with the accommodations. The location is top notch especially if you like to get out on the lake. The home was beautifully maintained and very private. I would 100% stay here again!
First off, we will definitely be staying again in the future. The location in the South cove of Lake Whatcom is breathtaking and mesmerizing. We had a blast exploring NW Washington but had just as much fun if not more hanging out lakeside while the kids swam off the floating platform or fished from the shore. We caught bass, trout, and dozens of yellow perch. The owners/hosts were amazing and very welcoming. They responded to my questions very quickly before we left AZ to start the trip. There were 2 paddle boards, 2 kayaks, and a couple child sized kayaks for us to use as well. Thank you Jan and family!! It was a very memorable trip for the entire family, even a teenager lol
This quaint 2 bedroom cottage was decorated beautifully and was very comfortable for 3 of us. More people could sleep in the bunk room as a full bed was added with 2 twins. Sharing one bathroom was comfortable due to the large layout. The kitchen was quite large with the open concept, and large table next to a joined living space. The view of the trees and lake were calming. Most of our time was spent on the water and hiking neighboring sites. The two adult kayaks were nice to have with easy access to the lake (down a hill.) The floating raft was perfect for swimming and sunning. We brought inflatable paddle boards and an inflatable kayak to supplement the kayaks provided. The owners live on the property and are very friendly and accommodating. We loved our 3 day stay and thoroughly loved paddling around the lake, enjoying the gorgeous views on Lake Whatcom.
