Great spot for a large group
The location is perfect, just a quick walk to the beach. They also had everything we needed for a great gathering. The kitchens were fully stocked, there were several activities to keep us entertained, and the dogs were well taken care of

The location is great! Fenced in yard was very appreciated. So many details were well thought out. We stayed with our grandkids and there was so much for them to do. The house is very old and so beautiful, very taken care of and in good condition. Check in and check out process is so easy to use. We enjoyed our stay so much and would love to come back. One think to note is we had trouble finding restaurants open for supper that were family friendly and not too expensive so we ending up cooking a quick dinner on the grill both nights. The location is easy walking distance to several stores. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night so maybe there are more open on the weekends. Thank you!

I hesitate to say how much we liked this property lest it become unavailable. It's cute, comfortable, and well stocked, with everything in great condition. We particularly loved the massage chair! The convenience to the beach, Jack's General Store and the Rusty Spur can't be beat.

We hope by the next time you stay, we will have the huge 100 x 100 lot fenced in and a playset and volley ball court installed so you can have your own private playground/yard! You forgot to mention Adalaides, the only place coffee shop on the peninsula that also serves ice cream and light meals. It is just across the street from 1303 Beach Retreat.

Amazing
Our family and extended family gets together 1 to 2 times a year and this year we chose here. The accommodations were better than we expected and the house was completely stocked with everything we needed and things that we didn’t even realize that we needed. Birthdaypalooza!
We have 4 birthdays within 9 days in August, and like to bring all of the extended family together to celebrate. It is sometimes difficult to find a suitable place for all 9 adults and 5 kids to stay together. This filled the bill, and the large kitchen and dining area were great for us. Proximity to the beach was paramount!

we loved the amount of bed rooms and bath rooms. beds could use updated were pretty uncomfortable. very nicely stocked for everything you would want for towels, pans, chairs, the outside grounds had so many sticker weeds that the kids and the two little dogs had several in their feet the kids sand with swing and the volleyball court. The house is very convent to the beach and the little stores in town. Overall great place

What a wonderful home to spend a relaxing vacation in. Plenty of room and quite. The owners have thought of everything you might need and each room was decorated perfectly. Location to the beach and stores were just minutes away and Long Beach is only miles down the road so if you want ocean living without the traffic this is the one.

This is a large and spacious home with anything you could need for your stay. Very close to the beach and the area was quiet and relaxing while we were there in early May. We forgot our baby monitor and they shipped it to us the next day. Great customer service.

Everything was wonderful. Great customer service, the house was equipped with most everything one could need, when you got there you felt like you were settling in to your personal vacation home with the way everything was set up. Very comfortable and accommodating! Loved being able to walk to the beach and the stores! It’s in prime location. Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I and our two girls enjoyed a week at the Bay Ave property and couldn't have been happier. You wouldn't have known that part of the home is almost 100 years old! Loved the overall layout & size of the home, the many updates, the amenities this home has to offer as well as the proximity to the beach. Will stay here again.

A great place in a wonderful location. So much space and so many things to do! The kids loved the pool table, the ping pong table, and the standing video game. The dogs loved the short walk to the beach. And the grown-ups loved the well organized and well stocked kitchen as well as the ability to sneak away for an afternoon nap. Everyone was happy with the place and we are all hoping we'll make it back again.

Beach Retreat was comfortable and suited our party of 12 plus 3 dogs. We appreciated the bedrooms and enough beds to sleep everyone. The dining table was big enough for 10 and there was counter seating for the rest of us. It was nice to have a fireplace. The beach was a block away and easy to walk to. In summer, the outdoor space would have been awesome! We enjoyed our stay very much.

Immaculate accommodations. There is pretty much everything you need for your stay here. The owners put considerable thought into the needs of their guests - a clam gun even for during clamming season and oyster shucking knives!The furniture is the most comfortable and classy of any rental house we have stayed in on the beach.The location is one block from the beach on the approach road. Great location to lounge on the outside deck and "people watch". Also walking distance to the stores as well as the beach.We are already planning next year's trip!

Family Gathering
The configuration of this property was perfect for our family group. The large fenced yard was great because we had two dogs and two small children. Most of the furnishings are a bit worn, for us that was fine. The downstairs queen bed in the guest house was noisy and uncomfortable. The kitchens were extremely well stocked. The hot water heater in the main house is very small, likely because of concerns about overloading the septic system. So showers and baths need to be staggered. The living room is small so it’s difficult to gather a large group in one place. Overall we were happy with the rental

Despite winter rains our party of 6 adults had a great time. Our second stay in this property so we were able to compare property condition now and during our previous stay. There are some items that need to be addresses. One shower did not drain (off bedroom with twin beds), the towels are threadbare and stained and the supply of glasses was short. We ended up going to local store and buying 4 glasses so there would be enough for 6 drinks. We also found ants a number of times - not excessive but there.

Hi and thanks so much for staying again! The owner was the very next person to stay, and fixed the drain. They brought in 10 new drinking glasses, no idea where the last ones went. We had ant killer in the top kitchen drawer, and two drops did the trick overnight. They are tiny tiny ants a nuisance but easily fixed. The towels have been replaced and now looking at all towels. Also, while they were there, they added a trundle bed with two new twin mattresses to the den, so now 8 can sleep comfortably. They added a sofa couch to the living room so 8 adults can now sit comfortably there. Finally, we just added DirectTV with NFL and by next week we will have a new 55" Smart TV in the living room. Almost forgot-they also added a brand new kitchen and train set for kids. In short, 1303 sees to be near perfect now, but always looking for new ways to improve! Chandy, Manager
