Outstanding property- perfect location for walking to the beach and the town of Duck. Property owners were available immediately for an internet issue and it was fixed in minutes. So many personal touches to the house gives it a wonderful beach feel, Highly recommended

This is a lovely property with a very welcoming host! Our winter mom's weekend was perfect. The host communicated without thought our stay and we will definitely be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the Outer Banks! The house was spacious and perfect for relaxing, and the hot tub was definitely a highlight—so enjoyable after a long day at the beach.We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches, like the coffee, granola bars, towels, and fully stocked kitchen essentials. It made everything so convenient and welcoming from the moment we arrived.The location couldn’t have been better—just a short distance to the beach and close to all the main shops and attractions in Duck, which made getting around easy and fun.On top of it all, the host was incredibly responsive and truly wonderful to work with. We felt well taken care of the entire time. We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing location and property!

We absolutely loved our stay at ocean hideaway. The location was amazing, ease of access to the beach with the golf cart was perfect. We loved being right across the street from the boardwalk and hustle and bustle of duck. Katy checked in and communicated quickly and efficiently with and questions we had. Highly recommend this property to those looking to get a taste of what the outer banks has to offer. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house was a great location with everything you need for an excellent vacation. All kitchen utensils, pots and pans were in great shape.& everything was available to make our stay superior to previous rental's!

Katy was very responsive before & during our stay, which was great. Duck is a really cute area to visit! Overall, the house met our needs. The location was convenient and an easy walk to beach or town. It has a view of the water (1 block down) from the top deck. The kitchen is nicely stocked, has a bunch of spices, coffee pods, and welcome basket with snacks. There was dish soap/pods/trash bags (but a cleaner for countertops would have been helpful). There were nice, unexpected perks like games/books, cotton balls/Qtips, TP, baby gate, air fresheners, shampoo/conditioner/body wash. The beds were comfortable along with the LR furniture. Extra towels would make for a better guest experience. The high humidity/beach/pool meant more than 1 shower per day and a damp towel the second time around.There were lots of beach chairs, boogie boards, wagon, etc. However, the storage closet was a jumbled mess. Hooks or other simple organization would make it much easier to pull things out. The pool’s deck box also had a variety of floats, but it needs cleaned out and a small pump would be helpful. Sadly and obviously, no attention has been given to the outside in quite some time. The grill needs cleaned (the food buildup was nasty). Dead leaves piled inside the pool area, overgrown landscaping, dead tree branches, chest-high weeds, lots of sand and debris in the carport area (so easy to track in the house). An hour of TLC with a weed-eater and blower would do WONDERS!

We had an amazing experience at this property. Katy was an incredible host. Very responsive and helpful. The home was clean, well stocked, and spacious. We loved having so many beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach toys to use. We loved the location. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. So close to the fun quaint boardwalk and to the beach. We paid extra for the golf cart and it was so worth it. We loved our time in Duck!
