à propos de cet hébergement
Hytte Foss 1970. Tahoe Park / Walk to the beach
Built as a vacation home in 1970 by an engineer at Livermore Labs. The home has recently undergone a sensitive rehabilitation with an eye towards era-correct finishes and interiors. If youâre looking for a unique and stylish house in lower Tahoe Park with lake access (+ close to everything), then look no further. This recently renovated home is a perfect getaway for family or a group of friends.
This 3 BR / 2 BA home is located within an 8 -10 minute walk to the beach as well some of the very best west shore destinations. Located on a quiet street in Tahoe Park- enjoy easy access to Sunnyside, Firesign Cafe, West Shore Market and the popular Lake Tahoe Park Association Beach. In addition, you can catch the bike trail just down the street and enjoy miles of paved trails along the west shore or into Tahoe City, down the Truckee River, or all the way out to Palisades. A location that allows you to park your car and forget about it until it's time to go.
Features include...
- Recently remodeled throughout with new hardwood floors, carpeting and stainless kitchen appliances.
- Stylish and open design with careful considerations and thoughtful touches throughout.
- Two living room areas (one upstairs and a bonus TV room downstairs)
- Expansive deck in back with private setting and outdoor dining table (accessible during summer months).
- Flat Access Parking Pad with room for 2 - 3 vehicles (depending on the size of vehicles)
- Covered side access door ideal during winter conditions.
- Airport shuttles running from Sunnyside Resort to / from Reno International Airport. Note that paid reservations are required.

Bedroom # 2 (upstairs) - Queen
Bedroom # 3 (downstairs) - Queen

Placer County STR Permit # STR22-7399
Booking guest must be 25 years of age or older.
Maximum 8 adults (per county ordinance). Additional room for children under 16 up to a maximum of 10 (inquire with host when booking).
Community quiet hours from 9pm - 8am daily.
No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.
No smoking of vaping.
No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.
There is parking for 2 - 3 vehicles in the driveway (depending on the size of your vehicles). Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).
No outdoor fires or charcoal bbqâs allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).
Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.
Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked, and bear mats activated) whenever not present in the home.
The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 5 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. Youâll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).
There are a few steps that lead down from the parking pad to the front and side entry door areas. We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow piled up on the stairs / deck. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.
WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.
ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, thereâs always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.
