Refinded Stay Rocky Ridge #95

This Rocky Ridge vacation rental is located in the trees. In this private setting, you will find a two-bedroom, two and a half condo that has been updated and well maintained. The main living space is on the top floor giving you views of the surrounding forest. Relax in the open living or enjoy a meal at the large dining table. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the living area. On the bottom level, you will find the master bedroom with a spacious attached bathroom as well as the guest room and bath. Your well-mannered dog is welcome too. The development is close to all that Tahoe City has to offer. Rocky Ridge is a gated community of 60 acres surrounded by State Forest Land, where you can enjoy nature on one of the many hiking or mountain biking trails just steps away. Amenities include 2 swimming pools, 2 spas, tennis, basketball, playground, Bocce Ball court and a private beach, annex located just down the road with parking and pier, BBQ facilities, clubhouse and volleyball court. Every vacation condo rental offers vaulted mountain-style ceilings, beautiful rock fireplaces, fully equipped kitchens, all set in an open two-story floor plan.

All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans.

*Forest View pool is being re-coated in Spring 2026, which may affect the opening date. No refunds will be given.

This place is awesome. High end finishes, it feels like someone’s house with very nice kitchen supplies. It was also spotless. I would definitely stay here again.

Great communication and how to get in and great views of the lake from the access road. We arrived after a big storm and the community roads were all cleared. We’ll stay here again. Only down side was that the Ruku (internet TV) didn’t work. (Was actually an upside because kids had to play board games available at the house, but would have been nice after they went to bed).

Classic mountain stay

We were looking for a central location on the north side for spring skiing, shopping, dining. Location was perfect, high up on the hill behind Tahoe City but in a private gated community. Classic mountain lodge vibes, fully stocked kitchen, nearby jacuzzi, sunny porch. Worked out great for a family trip.

Perfect long weekend spot

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was the perfect spot for the 2 of us. The location in Tahoe City was excellent and there were stunning views of the lake from the top of the hill as you drive up to the condo (the condo itself has a wooded view). Although the master bathroom could use some updating, the rest of the condo was the perfect blend of rustic and modern. Very peaceful. The kitchen was fully stocked as were the bathrooms and sinks (soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, etc were all provided)!

Peaceful stay in the woods

We had an absolutely wonderful day at this Tahoe city condo! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained. Everything was. The condo is so cozy, making it the perfect retreat after day of exploring the area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals, which was a huge bonus. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere backing up to the woods, it was incredibly quiet and relaxing. The decor was just perfect- stylish yet comfortable we truly enjoyed our time here and hope to return soon. Highly recommend!

Cozy gem

This was our first stay at Rocky Ridge- what a beautiful spot up on the hill overlooking the Lake! This is a spacious 2 bedroom each with en suite bath and 1/2 bath up in living area. Kitchen is open and remodeled. All the cookware you need- spices a bit limited (bring cooking oil). The couch is amazing and nice smart TV. You do need wood for the fireplace. The hot tub is a short 5 minute walk- used it everyday! If this had 2 king beds it would be amazing but even as is, we’d rent again!

PERFECT stay. Great property management.

I travel 2-3x a month and can say this was one of the best properties we've ever had the pleasure of staying at. Immaculate, and incredibly well-appointed. Sophisticated, yet comfortable furnishings, and everything you need to to cook meals and stay cozy. Perfect location - close to town, grocery stores, and most importantly in between Northstar and Alpine/Palisades ski resorts. Extremely well managed community/property. We experienced record snowfall during the 8 days we were there, and our walkways and roads were plowed before we even woke up. Property managers were very responsive and kind. We ended up extended our stay twice. All around 5 stars. We will be back!

Perfect spot

We loved this townhome, the complex, and the location. It's up a hill, above Tahoe City, so it feels remote but only about 5 minutes from the restaurants and market. The pool and hot tub are refreshing, and there are tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, so plenty to do. There are also open space hiking trails right out the door. The townhome itself was very clean and comfy. We had plenty of space, and the kitchen is well-stocked and spacious for cooking. The balconies were perfect for sitting outside reading in the morning. We had a small problem with the internet, but the manager addressed it quickly. Warning that they were so many mosquitoes in Tahoe this summer, so take bug spray and close the front door quickly. Overall fantastic place and we can't wait to go back.

Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed my stay very much and would like to give it a 10/10 because the upstairs great living space is excellent - so well remodeled and cozy. But there are a few things that need to be improved. The bath towels were musty, crunchy and old and need to be replaced. The bedding was good, except there were not warm comforters or duvets on either bed so I had to pile a bunch of random blankets on to stay warm. The pillows were ok. And the plumbing in the guest bathroom clogged and it looks like it’s been a problem because the plunger was placed right by the toilet. Lastly, the guest room needs a black out curtain because the facilities lighting along the walking paths shines very brightly into the room and makes it very bright even with the blinds closed. Otherwise, I could not say better things about how clean and well stocked this rental was. I would go back if these minor improvements would be made and it would easily be a 10/10! One last suggestion is to make sure the rental company turns off the bear mat prior to arrival. My dog bounded up the stairs and got shocked. I was forewarned about the bear mat but had forgotten about it in the moment.
