Modern farmhouse with character near WVU, hospitals, hiking, water activities, and winter skiing! Reading room with a massage chair, huge sunroom, and 75-inch TV. Watch the game and let the kids watch cartoons! Hot tub with color-changing lights, lit brick patio in the front, and fire pit in the back. Camp chairs and roasting sticks are provided. Washer, dryer, open kitchen, reclining couch, large windows, and large fenced outdoor yard for the dogs. Enjoy the uniqueness and character of an old house with all the updated amenities. Close to Cheat Lake, Cooper's Rock, and Deep Creek. A mile from eating, shopping, fitness center, salon, and more! In the center of it all, yet hidden from view.

Great outdoor space! Gourmet kitchen! Large rooms! Lots of parking (at least five cars).
The master bedroom includes a deep tub with an open-concept shower and a queen-size bed. Two upstairs rooms share a full bath. Queen-size bed in room nearest bathroom and full-size futon in other. Dogs are welcome to stay with you but must be kept in the downstairs area. (Gate provided for separation). A fenced yard provides plenty of opportunities for pets and kids to play. Do a puzzle, play some games, or binge-watch a favorite show. Enjoy the beauty of West Virginia!

Suggestions for improvement

We enjoyed our stay and the house definitely had some nice features and charm. The living room furniture could use to be updated and more comfortable for a family to sit and watch tv. Much of the furniture was old and broken when u looked closely. We were uncomfortable knowing that the back door leading to the hot tub would not lock. The hot tub had some scum build that I had to wipe clean and it was definitely not hot enough. The main bathroom needed a heat source as it was quite cold to shower in the open concept. My teenage daughters were a little scared staying in the house. I suggest locking basement and attic access to guests. There is no need to have an access panel behind the bed pillows. We could not get the outside string lights to turn on, but when we returned Saturday night, they were on which was a bit frightening. Upon entering the house, the basement door was open and it was closed when we left. This definitely gave us an uneasy feeling, like someone had been in the house while we were out. There was dogfood on the living room floor and dog poop on the rocks near the fire pit. My checkout time on my reservation said 12:00. At 11:15 as we were pulling out of the driveway, a white truck was waiting at the end of the driveway and the person impatiently waiting and pointing at us that they were trying to pull in. I received a Vrbo reminder message that check out was at 11 and they had another renter at 4. Again, my check out time was 12.

Winter Retreat

The host had great communication!Family of four visiting from Florida to see snow for the first time. What a turn out! The house was nice with unique touches throughout. The beds were comfortable with one being firm, one soft, and the other just right for our 6 year old. Price cutter was a nearby grocery store we were able to visit and stock up on food for our stay, and we had a great time snow tubing, although it was quite a ride (2 hours). The atrium was beautiful, but we admired it through the window because it was just too cold for our liking. The fire pit was nice, and we had fun throwing snow at one another. We loved cooking on the skillet with the gas stove. We even put a puzzle together as a family. It was a nice stay, and we made wonderful memories.

WVU Winter Visit

We celebrated a WVU graduation driving a good distance and arriving late evening. It was pleasant to arrive at this clean and comfortable rental property dealing with zero issues. The fenced yard was very convenient for our 11 year old lab. Beautiful kitchen and hot tub was a bonus.

Great property close to town

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this unique home. Everything was clean on arrival and the check in process was super easy. We found the property location great. We spent some time in town visiting family, and also ventured over to the nearby Coopers Rock State Forest (great view and fun hike). Close to several dining and grocery options. We did not have any issues come up during our stay but property manager was very responsive pre-arrival. Great stay - thanks!

Perfect for our family

We were visiting Morgantown from the beach for an athletic event and this was the perfect spot for us to connect with our WV family. The house was spacious, clean and inviting. Benjamin was quick to respond to my messages and we appreciated the hospitality!

Charming + spacious historic home

Very spacious, clean, and centrally located home that worked perfectly for our long holiday weekend. Lots of charm, plenty of space out back for our pup and a variety of impressive updates throughout. Would definitely love to stay again when back in Morgantown. Thanks!

Very nice amenities for an old farm house. The hot tub area could have been a little more inviting. You can see the road and other housing with no privacy. Otherwise house and location is as advertised.

We loved this place!! It was perfect for our family of 5 on game weekend! We did not bring our dog but will next time! Great big fenced in yard! We would definitely rent this place again!

While he house has old farmhouse character, the kitchen & bathrooms have been tastefully modernized. Ben quickly responded to questions & overall it was a decent stay near WVU.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Benjamin’s property. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Check-in was simple, the location is near everything, plenty of room for the whole family with a great fenced yard for your 4 legged loved one! After a long trek across the US, this home was an excellent reprieve. Benjamin was excellent, prompt to reply to any questions and extremely accommodating. Will be back in October and hope to stay again!!A+++

Cute spot

Good set up for dogs and it is an interesting layout and location. Close to all you need to do. Lots of little things would make it great. Hopefully owners will keep working on the finishing touches.

Remodeled farmhouse, love the kitchen very spacious great for a big family. Wonderful, hot tub, good treadmill, love the massage chair. Big screen television is wonderful

Lovely large farm house with a hot tub minutes from WVU

The house was large enough for the 6 of us. We went to visit my son who is a freshman at WVU and brought some friends and went skiing at WISP ski resort. The space was very roomy and we enjoyed the hot tub as it was snowing. This is an older house but has a lot of character. The host was very responsive. The bathrooms and kitchen were renovated but could use some more kitchen items (plates, glasses, cutting knives and a new toaster oven). The beds were ok if you like memory foam mattresses. The rooms were very spacious but would be nice if they were king beds as there is enough space. No TV's in the bedrooms. There is a very large TV in the living room and a comfy couch but could use a L shaped couch to fit more people in the living area. The stools were very comfy surrounding the kitchen island. We had a lovely stay and would come back when visiting West Virginia.

Unique Property

We enjoyed our stay in Morgantown for a family get-together at this property, which offered an eclectic blend of traditional farmhouse and modern updates. We appreciated the renovated kitchen and liked watching the Superbowl on the large TV screen. The owner was very responsive to our inquires.
