Located lakeside at the end of a long dead end road, this property could not have been more perfect. The owners have made full use of the view with open indoor spaces, large windows and multiple outdoor spaces. This includes a great dock, paddle boards and a slide. Everyone was delighted, and we ranged in age from 6 to 86. A fabulous vacation.
This home was the perfect place for my siblings and I to spend the long weekend. My siblings and I always enjoyed summers in the Westerly, RI area and this home was the perfect distance between Westerly and Mystic (another favorite place). The home was clean and in a gorgeous location looking over a quiet pond. Strongly recommend this home and hope to visit it again.
The property was clean and as described. The location is beautiful and well appointed. We enjoyed fishing off the dock. Centrally located to many activiyes. Highly recommend this place.
Our family is spread out over the country...Colorado... North Carolina...Pennsylvania, and we wanted to get together to celebrate the memory of our brother on his birthday this year. We found this place with the name of "Hope Valley" and hoped for a peaceful location to be able to spend time as a family without a lot of noise where the focus of the trip would be on enjoying time spent with family without the distractions of everyday life. The home is more beautiful in person that the pictures could possibly show. I am grateful to have been able to experience the peace and tranquility of this waterfront property as well as the spacious and comfortable home that we were able to share with our whole family. The owners of the home, paid attention to the details...so we didn't have to. The beds were comfortable and the blankets/sheets, towels, and kitchen supplies were all provided and though we didn't need them, there were 1st aid kits throughout the house. We didn't have a chance to get out on the water, but I hope to get back some time in the future to be able to explore the pond on the paddle boards and kayaks that were provided with the home. It was the perfect home and location and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to be able to stay here with our family.
We were 11 adults and one 4 year old, celebrating my husband's 70th birthday. The house was lovely, the setting was perfect, and the weather was a gift.
We loved being able to kayak on the beautiful pond.
My friends and I had an incredible time at this property. Just an hour and a half from Boston, we were shocked to feel so "off the grid" and enjoy some peace and privacy. The house is beautiful, modern, and very accommodating for groups. We really enjoyed the access to the pond, hot tub, and space for outdoor fun. Would 10/10 recommend.
This place was amazing. Such nice amenities lovely home and great place to host a birthday party. Loved the location and the owner was great communication wise.
The property and location are awesome. They have all the amenities that you would need/want. Everything was clean and organized. Check in was very easy. We spent most of our days on the lake with the paddle boards or kayaks. Itâs very secluded and peaceful out there. Would definitely stay again!
You can definitely invite your whole extended family here! Comes with a plethora of beds, tons of places to chillax. Extra rooms and outdoor space give you the ability to get away and have some peace, quiet and alone time. Kitchen has the basics. Large kitchen, easy to cook in with more than one person. The view from the deck is outstanding, beautiful, and gorgeous at sunrise and sunset. The view from the kitchen the dining room and living room is spectacular. The view from the two adult bedrooms upstairs is also absolutely beautiful. Furnishings are simple, but highly functional. Dining room table probably fits 12 to 14 guest. Nicely landscaped. Sitting directly on the pond it could not be closer. Weâre not really able to use the dock because it has some challenges, but theyâre in the process of repairing the dock. Owner mentioned this before we came. In fairness, this was during the late April.Hot tub is awesome! If you have any problems with the hot tub, let the owner know immediately she can usually tell you how to get everything up and working. Sunsets are gorgeous!
This was a delightful gathering of dear friends who came across a few state borders to gather at this lovely spot and spend a weekend together. Beautiful, secluded with a wood stove, swimming and hot tub, it served the group perfectly. And if able we will definitely come again and again.
We managed to have a great time despite the cloudy, wet weather. The house was as advertised and there was plenty of room for us all. We swam, floated, kayaked and fished when the weather permitted and did a few day trips when it rained. We would definitely go back again and hope for more sunshine. We all agreed the best part of the house was its seclusion and privacy.
My friends and I visited for New Years Eve weekend and it was the perfect space to gather us all together. The lake view was beautiful and the hosts came by to refilter the hot tub when we reached out to them. We also enjoyed using the grill and fire pit. Plenty of blankets, towels, etc! Overall a very memorable weekend
This was my first time using VRBO. I wasnât sure what to expect. Absolutely blown away once we arrived. Property was so beautiful and well taken care of. The views of the pond from the house were breathtaking. Nice quiet area where we were all able to clear our minds and enjoy some family time together. I would absolutely book this property again. Kids loved swimming and using the paddle boards and kayaks they had at the house. Inside the house was very clean. Living room was perfect for a family movie night.
Family members from all over the USA and Caribbean enjoyed an unbelievable 4th of July party at Heron Hollow. Some of us not seeing one another for 10 years.
It was the ideal location for varied ages of 2 months to 80 years. The quiet times. Fragrant smell of flowers, buzzing bees, birds chirping, bull frogs croaking, the brighest stars. Active times. Daredevils jumping off rock formations, sliding down pool slides, paddelboarding, kayaking, finding turtles, laughing. Laughter, healing, family love.
Thank you Long Pond.
Wow! We had an amazing weekend celebrating my husbandâs 40th birthday with friends. The host was so kind and left us a Birthday Welcome package. The house and property were exactly as pictured. The house was beautiful with many updates. Everything was clearly brand new from the furnishings, linens, kitchen utensils and decor. The host even provided an additional air mattress for us. The huge tv was a hit! We couldnât have asked for a better property. Thanks again!
We had a good time at the house. There were so many positives about it from the spacious layout, beautiful views, enjoyable dock with kayaks available, and great location. We were able to enjoy the beauty of the house and drive to some great surrounding areas like westerly and mystic. The grill and fit pit were a great addition to the house (note you need your own propane and firewood). They provided a lot of extras like condiments in the fridge and some tolietries in the bathroom.
We were disappointed the hot tub was not working during our stay & the AC upstairs struggled to keep it cool (even w the fans going). The house did provide a few extra fans though. Lastly, the house could use a deep cleaning. There is a lot of dog hair and dust stuck to things. We had a one year old that was crawling and constantly had hair or dust stuck to them.
This place brought back fond memories of the summers my children and I stayed at my grandparents camp in Maine. It was so peaceful and the lake was just wonderful. There were lots of things to do places to hike and visit. The kayak and standing boards plus the slide were a great hit for our teenagers different people stayed at different times. So there was plenty of room or all. There were condiments in the fridge so we didnât have to worry about bringing or buying them, the only complaint my family noted was that the ice maker could have been cleaner. Checkin was difficult due to the ineptness of VRBO, not the host. VRBO did not factually list my vacation, so it took several phone calls to them. MY famiLY loved the layout, location and amenities. It is not very assessible. I have trouble with balance and had to have help with the entrance and steps as there were no railings. The biggest problem was that the address stated 37A but it was really 45 Barrie., that caused some confusion. My family and I look forward to visiting again in the future.
