Notre résidence secondaire toute l'année construite sur mesure (nouvelle en 2005) vous accueillera pour vivre la détente estivale avec style! La maison est près de la charmante Wakefield, Narragansett, Westerly et plusieurs des meilleures plages de RI, et nous incluons un laissez-passer pour la plage de Matunuck Beach. La maison, équipée d'un ascenseur desservant tous les niveaux, est une maison «à l'envers» à trois niveaux avec climatisation centrale et foyer au gaz; le salon principal, les terrasses et la chambre principale sont au dernier étage pour une vue maximale sur l'étang Green Hill et votre cour privée. Commencez votre journée avec un café le matin dans les cimes des arbres sur le pont supérieur donnant sur l'étang. Partez à la découverte de l'étang en kayak ou en canoë depuis votre quai privé. Passez une agréable journée d'hiver à lire au coin du feu, à regarder le match sur le câble avec un son surround ou à cuisiner dans la cuisine surdimensionnée. L'été venu, vous pouvez faire du canoë, du kayak ou louer un hors-bord dans une marina locale pour traverser l'étang jusqu'à une plage privée; ou conduisez à une magnifique plage RI différente chaque jour. Revenez à la maison de la plage pour une douche extérieure, puis savourez des cocktails au coucher du soleil sur le toit-terrasse avec vue sur l'océan et Block Island. Préparez votre dîner sur le gril à gaz extérieur ou dans la grande cuisine bien équipée avec fours doubles, micro-ondes, plaque de cuisson à gaz. Mangez-le sur la terrasse couverte ou dans la grande salle à manger. Montez ensuite dans des lits confortables avec de nouveaux matelas dans l'une des quatre chambres (un lit king, deux reines, deux lits superposés) avec les vagues de l'océan en arrière-plan (ou le bourdonnement silencieux de la climatisation). Le jour pluvieux occasionnel? Pas de soucis! Le salon à l'étage est spacieux pour la lecture tranquille, la musique (ou la sieste), le salon au rez-de-chaussée a la télévision par câble, DVD, jeux de société, etc. WiFi dans toute la maison. Mystic Seaport, Aquarium, Newport et bien plus à moins d'une demi-heure de route. Notre ascenseur dessert les trois niveaux afin que tout le monde puisse être inclus.

We returned for the third year to this fantastic property and had a wonderful stay. The house is spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the pond. The location is ideal and provides easy access to surrounding beaches. We are eager to come back soon!

Once again an amazing stay!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful home. I have stayed at many rental properties and none compare when it comes to the care that is put in and completeness (everything and anything you can think of is there!). Lovely, Spacious Home in Idyllic Setting

Perfect dining room table and living room for a family of nine, yet plenty of space for quiet time alone. Very well equipped kitchen; didn’t need all the utensils we brought from home. Quiet woodland setting with beautiful view of pond, yet close to beaches. Everyone of all ages had a wonderful time.

Wonderful in every way

This is a wonderful house and situation. We enjoyed every moment of our two weeks there. We entertained many guests, all of whom loved the house. The house itself is lovingly decorated and very well supplied. The view peaceful and restorative and many amenities available. We spent lots of time at the beach (for which beach passes are provided) as well are much time just "hanging" at the house with friends and family. A lovely experience!

The house is spacious and lovely and the salt water pond location is wonderful. We enjoyed the bikes, kayaks and canoe as well as the beaches. The owners are very responsive and generous with supplies. All 9 of us had a terrific week!

Vacay at Green Hill Pond

We had a truly wonderful week. We had a wedding on Saturday and we were able to check in earlier, which was a lifesaver!! I highly recommend this house! We were a family of six and a two year old. The outside decks were greatly appreciated!

FANTASTIC VACATION SPOT!!!!

This house was everything it said and more!!! Pond access for the kayaks was perfect as was the private beach that we paddled to. Kitchen stuff, linens and towels were of top quality and there was plenty of utensils and cooking hardware to keep everyone happy. We were a group of 10 and this house had room for everyone to spread out!!! I would highly recommend this property and will try to return here ourselves.

Peaceful vacation on Indigo Point Rd

Beautiful house and great location! Easy access to a private beach by boat and also passes to the town beach. Kayaking on the pond was wonderful. The house was very spacious with a quiet living room and then a tv in the downstairs living room where the kids could enjoy playing games or watch movies. It was a very relaxing vacation and we are missing the beautiful views of the pond already!

Amazing Vacation Home!

We had a wonderful vacation in this lovely home with our extended family: 5 adults and 3 children ages 3 - 13. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and the house had every convenience you could imagine. We especially enjoyed the beach passes to the South Kingston Town Beach, the boat dock, the elevator (wonderful convenience for luggage, groceries and seniors!), the views from the deck, and the amazing kitchen. It was our first time vacationing in South Kingston, and we can’t wait to come back!

I almost don’t want to let others know how great this place is…

I feel like by sharing my experiences everyone will want to stay here and it won’t be available for a future stay! This house was an absolute DREAM, and had everything you could possibly think of. The kitchen is spectacular and the upstairs is a great gathering place for families and friends. The views are nothing short of stunning. Sandy and Bernie are A+++ hosts who were friendly, responsive, and so very thoughtful in the way they had everything covered. By far the best rental we’ve had in RI.

Pond side serenity

This is our second stay in this beautiful home. It has a wonderful view of Green Hill Pond and is a short car ride to a very nice beach and play ground. This home was perfect for our family to spread out in or enjoy each others company in either of the 2 spacious family room areas. With an inverted floor design, we were able to fully appreciate the views from the 3rd level living area or deck. The very private neighborhood was a big plus. Much kudos to the owners who were very gracious and accommodating.

Second year didn’t disappoint!

We stayed at this beautiful property for the second year in a row and had a wonderful time. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a stunning view of the pond and tons of deck space. The kitchen is well equipped and great for cooking and sharing a meal as a large family group. There is ample space for lounging and for sleep (we shared the home between 5 adults and 4 small children). The home is close to the most beautiful beaches and easily accessible to so many great spots in RI. We have zero complaints and will definitely be back!

Beautiful house and location!!

This house is even more beautiful in person!! Plenty of room and privacy for my husband and I, my parents and our three children. The view is spectacular and so peaceful as it overlooks a picturesque inlet. We cooked a lot in the beautiful kitchen and hung out on the deck. Plenty of beaches around to choose from and ice cream places! We walked down to the bakery a couple of mornings and visited the lavender farm that is close by. Sandra was quick to reply to some questions before we arrived and very pleasant. Once we got there we had everything we needed and check in was a breeze. It was one of our best vacations!!

South Kingston Home on Green Pond

This was a wonderful place to stay, especially during these challenging times. If you did not feel like going to the public beaches, there was a private beach accessible by canoe/kayak. The house is stunning with absolutely beautiful views. It has a combination of areas to enjoy - separate places for a little privacy as well as well ventilated larger spaces to congregate. It really did not feel like a rental, it felt more like a home. The owner was extremely responsive and worked with us to ensure flexibility in terms of our deposit - this was at a time when it was not clear whether we'd have to quarantine for 2 weeks. We highly recommend this home.

AMAZING HOME!

We had such a wonderful time! Can't say enough good things about their home. Their house is great for a group! We had 6 adults and our dog. And 4 other folks come over for a full day and dinner. The pictures dont do this house justice. The ceilings are high, rooms are bigger than the photos show. There is a ton of light. Among the group we have all stayed in many VRBO/ ABnB homes and this was one of the best ones. We were there in December and so our guess is in summer it would be even more magical. Sandy is an amazing host and answers all questions quickly. The home is ready for folks to get there, relax, have space and enjoy. It was a PLEASURE staying there! On a scale of 1 to 10 --- we would give it a 15!!

Beautiful property

My family and I had an amazing time at this house which was even more beautiful, comfortable, clean, and spacious than we expected. Communication with the host before and during our stay was seamless and she kindly answered several questions I had about the house before our stay. My family of four shared the house with my brother’s family and we had plenty of space for everyone including the three young kids. We were also pleasantly surprised by the two office spaces which allowed for working remotely very comfortably when needed. The elevator is convenient and made loading/unloading bags a breeze. The kitchen is well stocked and very spacious so we were able to make some great meals. Huge decks and large windows provide beautiful pond views. The house is a short drive from many great beaches and other activities. We have zero complaints and definitely plan to be back in the future!

Beautiful house in a wonderful location

The moment our family of six (3 generations) walked in the house we were very impressed. It is a beautiful house, very clean, very spacious with extraordinary views of Green Hill Pond from every room. We loved everything about the house: the very nice furniture, the comfortable beds, the very well equipped kitchen, the grill on the deck right out of the kitchen and all the outdoors furniture to relax on the multiple outdoor spaces. Our kids loved hanging out in the family room while the adults were relaxing in the upstairs living room. The elevator was very handy for the luggages and the groceries. We enjoyed the dock on the pond, the kayaks and the canoe. Having 2 bikes available was very handy for a quick trip to the bakery or the nearby beach. The location is perfect, very serene but only a couple minutes away from restaurant, grocery stores and the many beautiful RI beaches. Sandy the owner made the reservation process a breeze. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for a house that is way above the typical rentals.

Lovely house near Green Hill Beach

This three-story house was well-designed, nicely furnished, and well-maintained. It features: A lovely kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances; two decks with splendid pond views; central air conditioning (though it was not really necessary, with ceiling fans and plenty of ventilation on the top two floors). The owner provided lots of suggestions with helpful info on everything, including TV, wifi, and local sights and restaurants. An elevator makes moving in easy, but the device that ensures closure sometimes makes it difficult to use. The house includes everything anyone needs for the beach, plus kayaks and a canoe for the pond. The mosquitoes from the pond can be troublesome in the morning and evening; and poison ivy pervades the pathways just about everywhere. Parents with children must be very careful. The bathrooms are modern, with every amenity, and the entire place was clean and in perfect repair. Very highly recommended.

A wonderful house that does not disappoint at any level

We spent a wonderful week at this lakeside home. The house layout was excellent for our 3 family units. Erveryone had their own private area while we all hung out together in the comfortable 3rd floor living room/dinning room/kitchen open area or the 3rd floor deck/outdoor eating area most of the time. There was also a comfortable den on the second floor for anyone needing a little space. The house was stocked with all the big and little things you need for a vacation like this, unlike any rental I've ever had. We brought extensive kitchen tools and supplies, games, beach chairs, beach umbrellas etc and none were necessary- everything we needed was already there- every time! There was a great lake canoe+2 kayaks (3 life jackets only: kid, teen + adult). The 2 car beach passes were great for a nice beach a short drive away + during the week there was plenty of parking any time of day (didn't go on the weekend). The master suite is a perfect space + a second bedroom had it own bath and was very nice. The 3rd adult BR is adjacent to the kids room and just fine. I also should add the elevator was a great help moving in with all our heavy stuff . We didn't need it often but when we did it was a real asset. Lastly, Sanda is a perfect host. She responded to any question within a few minutes each time and always helpful. I expect we will be back at this wonderful home next year!

2020 Holiday Home/Staycation

The home is beautiful. It was quite large with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The two living rooms are open areas with a wrap around deck. Every room has an entrance/door. The owner is accommodating and flexible. She allowed us to enter early because we were arriving on Christmas Eve and needed to decorate. She allowed us to vacate the property quite late as we wanted to leave the home as nice as we found it and took our time cleaning and exiting. The owner responds immediately to any questions or concerns. Again, this home is magnificent and even includes an elevator. I can't imagine what it is like to be there in warmer weather to enjoy the decks (2 levels) and just sit outside and see the view. There is a river a short walk away and I would have loved to have been able to kayak and boat on it. I cannot say enough about this magnificent property and the owner. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it an 11. Vrbo continues to deliver, what you see is exactly what you get. I have not been disappointed with any of my Vrbo rentals. Thank you all so very much.

Wonderful Family Week On Green Hill Pond

This lovely home was everything our family of seven; grandparents, kids and grandkids, as well as visiting friends, needed for a very nice time at the Rhode Island shore. There was plenty of space for us to spread out, the top-level deck had a great view looking out over Green Hill Pond and was a wonderful place to enjoy the evening with a cocktail in hand. The location was well-situated between Narragansett and Watch Hill, and Newport was not a long drive away. While we didn’t use all of the amenities provided, everything mentioned in the VRBO listing was there if we had wanted to and we didn’t lack for anything for any activity we did want to pursue. We even had a cozy family movie night with the seven of us in the entertainment room our last day there. There were only two circumstances that marred an otherwise perfect week for us. The first was a less than thorough cleaning of one second floor bathroom where plentiful hair was found in the shower. The second, for those who saw the enticing pictures of the pond and dock, and who might want to consider a swim there, was finding out that there were advisories against doing so due to consistent high levels of bacteria. So, enjoy the kayaking and canoeing but use the vehicle beach passes provided for your swimming. We were comfortable giving this property a five-star rating, but would have considered a 4 ½ due to those two shortcomings.

FANTASTIC

This is the best short term rental we've ever had, hands down. The pictures don't do this incredible, luxurious home justice. We had fabulous views and more than enough room for everyone to spread out inside or outside in comfort. Lots of places say they have everything you need but we've learned to pack extra just in case>> but this house had everything from band aids to cooking spray to boogie boards to a really great library. The elevator made it possible for our elderly aunt to join us, which made the family gathering extra special.

Our home base is in Hartford, Connecticut but we frequently escape to our home-away-from-home in Rhode Island, and enjoy traveling in our retirement. We built this -- Bernie's Dream House -- in the first year of our marriage in 2005 and both house and marriage are big successes. The house is large, to welcome various groupings of our 6 children and spouses, and 16 grandchildren, and numerous friends. After a walk, paddle on the pond or a day at the beach, we like to gather with friends or curl up with lots of books, whether on the deck or by the fire.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Bernie dreamed of a house near the beach his whole life, and having lived in Rhode Island in the past he gravitated to the beautiful RI beaches. He found the land in 2002 and started designing the house before he retired, and by the time Sandy came on the scene it had gone through five architects and numerous design phases. It was worth the wait -- the result is spectacular yet comfortable, expansive yet cozy in each area of the house.

Many families choose to rent our house because we have an elevator serving all three levels, so people who are less mobile can be part of the family vacation. Because it is our dream house, it has special touches like beautiful dark Brazilian hardwood and solid oak floors. One of the most striking features is our deck area -- there are 250 square feet of deck on the guest room level, an equal amount on the top main floor, a 150 square foot 'crow's nest' deck at roof level from which you can see the ocean and Block Island. (One of our carpenters assigned to the deck commented, 'There is as much room on these decks as in the whole house!')
