One of our favorite things about the cabin is the quiet, unhurried feel of the lake—and there really is something special about having the water nearly all to yourself, especially with the loons calling in the background! We put a lot of thought into making the cabin feel like a true home away from home, so it means a lot to hear that you appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, spice cabinet, and both the gas and charcoal grills. We want our guests to be able to arrive, settle in, and simply enjoy their time without having to worry about whether they remembered the little things. We’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin, the peaceful setting, the deck and fire, and most importantly, the special time you were able to spend together with your granddaughters. Creating a comfortable and relaxing place for families to reconnect is exactly what we hope to provide. During this stay, we did have an unexpected maintenance issue arise, and we worked quickly to respond and provide a temporary solution so our guests could continue to enjoy their time at the cabin. The permanent repair required a licensed electrician and, unfortunately, scheduling that work during the stay was not possible. We always take guest concerns seriously and do everything we can to respond promptly and minimize any inconvenience. We’re grateful that you otherwise enjoyed the cabin and the Hackensack area, and we hope your “grandma time” created some wonderful memories. Thank you again for choosing our cabin!

I understand that not having a dishwasher wasn't your preference. Because our log cabin is designed to provide a more traditional Northwoods experience, we have chosen not to install one, and we do note this in our property description so guests know what to expect before booking. While this amenity isn't available, we do our best to provide a fully equipped kitchen and many other comforts to help guests enjoy a relaxing stay. One of the things we love most about our location is that we’re surrounded by more than 120 lakes within 10 miles of the cabin, so guests who enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking, or simply exploring new water are encouraged to bring their own boat and make the most of the area. And of course, having our pontoon available makes it easy to enjoy Trillium Lake right from the cabin! We’re also happy to hear you enjoyed eating your meals out on the deck.
