This 5,600 square foot, 6 bedroom, 4 bath home, with a fully stocked kitchen and a view of the lake, is situated on 2.75 wooded lakefront acres in Rice Lake, WI. It's the perfect spot for large family gatherings. Enjoy fishing & kayaking on Lake Montanis or travel 15 miles down the road to the Chetek Chain of Lakes. The area offers year-round attractions and activities. This unique home is unlike anything around.

Responsive owners, great space

The space was great for our group of 12 friends! The owners were responsive and helpful before and during our stay.The description of the place was accurate. The decent to the lake was a little intimidating, but we all survived!!I would rent with the owners again.

Spring Break

We had a nice time at the property. It was clean and stocked as stated in the information. We experienced an unforeseeable mechanical problem that was fixed as fast as possible. Owners were very responsive; maintenance people were prompt and polite. We would definitely stay again.

Great Place for family gatherings

Pool, arcade, lake and outdoor space provide for lots of entertainment opportunities for all ages. Great place for family gatherings. Lots of privacy as well. This was a great experience for our annual family gathering.

Perfect for families

Owners were wonderful and so easy to work with. The house was beautiful. The pool and the arcade were definitely a highlight of our weekend! So much to do for kids, and the layout was nicely spread out for everyone to do different things at different times. Great family stay with memories made.

Perfect for families!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home! The pool was our favorite. Perfect temperature and clean. The kids also had a blast in the arcade. Andy and Amanda were amazing to work with. Very responsive! The rooms were very spacious. Loved the charm of this place!

Wonderful place for my family vacation!

Very spacious for all 11 of my family members to stay and vacation. Lots of fun things to do together. The lake was beautiful and good fishing. We had so much fun in the swimming pool. The arcade room was fun for all the different ages of all of us. The kitchen was very well stocked for us of all the dishes we needed to cook and accommodated all of us for our meals together. We were able to make many fun memories together here. I highly recommend this place!

Second Time Staying

This was our second time staying at the house for a relaxing weekend with family. We ended up not using the pool this time but did use the grill and kitchen which are have plenty of dishes, pots, and pans. The house had plenty of space for everybody and was perfect for spending time with family. It was a warm weekend and the air conditioning worked great.

Great cabin

We stayed in the house for 5 days, 6 adults and 4 kids. The pool heater was unfortunately broken but it didn't phase the kids. Location was great - near groceries and activities. We drive 20 min to rent a pontoon on the chain of lakes and it was amazing. I wish there were more boats/things we could do on the lake, but the two kayaks worked fine. The gas grill was great and plenty of places for everyone to sit and hang out. Kids loved the indoor arcade and all the toys around the house.

Nice home

The house was very nice and had a nice view. We had no hot water on and off for two days. They did send plumbers to try and remedy the issue but this caused a disturbance during our stay and I was left to deal with it. The pool also lost all chemicals after 24 hours. The pool guy had to come out and replenish (after we reached out to them) and the kids couldn’t use the pool for half of a day. The chemicals ran out again 24 hours later but at this point we were pretty tired of dealing with maintenance issues so we didn’t bother reaching out. House was well stocked and beautifulView.

Lovely place for Christmas

We rented this house for our family Christmas get together and there was enough space for everybody. The Kitchen was a great central location for everyone to hang out while others could watch TV in the living room or chat in the Den. The pool and arcade were a big hit with the kids and also enjoyed by the adults. The Den had a beautiful large Christmas tree setup when we arrived which was a nice surprise. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and is close to town if you forget anything. The second refrigerator in the pool bar area was very handy, especially with a large group staying. We love staying at unique properties with pools and will keep this on our list.

Girls Weekend at the Castle

10 forever girlfriends gathered for annual Spring Adventure. The location of VRBO was within 2 hours travel time for all of us. We really made use of all areas of the spacious house. Patio during the day, pool and game room in the evening. So many options for sleeping arrangements. Quiet neighborhood. We all were curious about the history of the house whether it was original floor plan or added on. Great conversation piece. Rice Lake was close for shopping and we did a scavenger hunt that included 11 bars in close proximity to the city. One item we would suggest is that you clean the oven. Definitely hadn’t been included in the cleaning schedule for some time. Was a great place and several of us have already recommend to friends and family.

Pleasant visit to Rice Lake

Property was as described in the listing. Beyond salt and pepper in the kitchen there were no other foods stuffs but there are several grocery stores close by to pick up anything you need. Also, renters need to provide their own shampoo, conditioner, etc. There were supplies to wash dishes and clothes. We saw a deer on the property and eagle nearby while using the provided kayaks. Pool was great and our family enjoyed playing the various arcade games as well. I believe it was the time of year and recent rainfall, but we needed to be careful to not leave any food out or lights on at night to prevent ants and gnats from being pesky. Internet usually worked well, but went completely out for several hours one evening.

We (Andy and Amanda) are from Iowa and love traveling the country and staying in vacation rental homes. We have built our own vacation rental homes based on our favorite amenities and features in homes we've stayed in. We run our own companies and enjoy doing vacation home rentals on the side. We have two children.

This neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The property is unique and offers so many things to do. While our nearly 3 acre lot is relatively private, we do ask that our guests respect our wonderful neighbors.

This lakefront beauty boasts a large commercial-grade indoor swimming pool. If that wasn't enough for the family, there is a retro arcade room complete with black light bowling alley carpet and numerous games you can play for free! Having 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms allows for multiple couples, families, etc. to share a vacation together and make lasting memories in our very unique home.
