Los Encinos @ Frio River Vacation Rentals-Freshly renovated home with a pool

Peak Rate – May 15th – September 15th $575

(2 night minimum, excluding holidays)

All holidays, spring break will be charged at peak rate.


Los Encino's, a beautiful two story home nestled under a collection of huge Encino trees, shade will not be issue. The home offers a little bit of something for everyone. The 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home sleeps 22. The home is very spacious, with a split kitchen and dining room area. Fully equipped kitchen for you and your family to enjoy. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience. Upstairs you will have a second living area, giving you a break from watching what the kids are want. Your Frio time will be spent outside, relax from your covered patio and the secluded backyard. Enjoy the privacy of the outdoors without any distractions, other that the occasional deer wanting to be fed, the private backyard has several picnic tables, BBQ pit, and a large, covered patio area.

PET FEES: This rental requires a pet fee of $25/day for each pet. All pets must be kept in a kennel when left behind at the property and leashed when outside. Pet fee will be collected after booking confirmation.

To help keep the cost of your rental down, we do offer our guest the option to bring their own Linens and Towels. We do offer the option to rent them at an extra cost. If wanting to rent linens and towels for your stay, please allow us 4 weeks prior to arrival notice. Make note that we do have a limited supply and cannot guarantee we will have lines and towels readily available.

What to Bring.
LINENS: Bring linens and pillowcases, pillows, blanket/bedspread are provided.
TOWELS: Bath towels, washcloths, kitchen towels and pool towels.
CHAIRS: Bring folding or sack chairs to take to the river. The chairs at the rental should not be removed from the property.
PAPER GOODS: Paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, plastic ware.
SOAP: Dishwashing, laundry and hygiene products
BBQ: There are BBQ cooking utensils, but remember to bring charcoal/lighter/matches.
Your kitchen is complete with dinnerware, silverware, glasses, basic cookware, coffee pot, microwave, pots & pans.

Large Family Gathering

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is great for families with kids. Lots of living/sitting space. There is a cute playscape with a slide and swings along with a pool. Beds are super uncomfortable and could use some new mattresses. You’ll survive for a long weekend. Double check the bed configurations with the management office for accuracy. The website didn’t match what was actually set up when we arrived so we had to rearrange families last minute. Only real issue there was that everyone brought sheets to fit the beds in their room. We were told we’d be able to borrow a high chair but it wasn’t available after all. That was frustrating bc we would have brought a portal high chair if we’d been told the owners needed it for their own family. Be sure to ask for beanbags for cornhole at check in if you want to save yourself a trip back to the office. They don’t keep them in the house. Overall, it was a great time and we’ll continue to use this management company for other rentals.

Beautiful rental

Beautiful house with lots of space. It was our first stay with this company, I’ve been coming to the Frio since I was infant and now go with my little family! Had trouble getting information about check in, had no idea where to find the office they wanted us to get the keys from. Had to call the number on the sign for help. We couldn’t use one of the rooms upstairs, two beds had bed bugs. Was liked in the a house that looked cleaned but once we got settled in we started to notice stuff wasn’t sanitized. I don’t wear fake eyelashes but found the stuck on items (like the mirror) in the upstairs bathroom. But overall we had a great weekend.

We woke up each morning looking at dears in the backyard and had fun in the evenings grilling and dancing. Hope basic amenities like hand washes in bathroom, kitchen and towels and bedspreads can be provided by default. There are ample kitchen utensils and washer and dryer worked.

FIRST EVER FAMILY VACATION

Reviewer Comments: So, for the first time in our adult lives me and my brother's families went on a family vacation and we had a blast.First i'd like to state that the rental was clean and smelled clean, a big thing for me when i first showed up. The scenery; wonderful, so vibrant. The house, very spacious, more than enough room for all of us. Beside from relaxing from everyday life, we managed to get out to the local watering holes and had an afternoon's blast. i personally love the water. beside the watering holes, we didnt fare outmuch, next time around well stay longer, see more, and be better prepared.lol.

Home fit for a Family

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Los Encinos provided us a great weekend home for our group of multiple families, including children. The back patio was a great spot to hang out and provided the children with plenty of space to play. The sizes of the rooms and bed space fit everyone well. The description on the website doesn't match the setup of the rooms, however. The house seemed clean at the beginning, however, after more time in the house, we noticed the bathrooms were not clean (hair in the bathtub, cleaning solution still present, and a spotty mirror). The dishwasher did not do it's job and we ended up handwashing all of our dishes. Although there are plenty of dishes, pots and pans, a lot of them are outdated and so old/used that even cleaning them didn't seem like enough. We would suggest a better cleaning of the property and an update of pots/pans/dishes.
