New Owner Promo-this beautiful home was just renovated and listed July 1st, featuring all new furnishings, linens and cookware.
2 bedroom, 1 bath, craftsman bungalow home with modern touches in the desirable neighborhood of University Heights just two blocks from the restaurants and bars on Park Blvd.
We had a fabulous time at this charming bungalow! We were visiting our daughter and granddaughter who live 4 blocks away , so very convenient! The beds were comfortable and the staples were ample. We will definitely be back!Thank you for a great stay!
The Craftsman bungalow was perfect place to stay in San Diego. It is centrally located and close to the all the attractions in San Diego. The property was very clean and had all the amenities needed for our 7 day stay. We loved the coffee shop that was walking distance from the property. The only issue we had was parking. This property does not have designated parking, it is street parking only. There were a couple of times we had to park far away. I highly recommend this place if you do not mind the parking situation.

Location is great, but communication and amenities need work.
Location is great, but communication and amenities need work. Location is centrally located to attractions - within 15 minutes to all places we wanted to explore and waking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. House is compact but worked out just fine for 2 adults and 2 teenagers for the week. Parking was also never an issue. For the negative, there were key amenities that were not working like the oven and dryer. I then communicated to the owner that they are not working (after food was already purchased to cook in over) and she said she was unaware, but that is not the case since looking at past reviews. We ended up checking out of the location early due to broken amenities and was supposed to get a refund of some kind, but have not seen that come through and they are not answering anymore communications. Going to file with VRBO.
Compact, comfortable, and nicely decorated home. We loved how close this home was to our sonâs house. Plus steps away from a favorite coffee shop of ours, Mystic Mocha. We would recommend this place and would like to stay here again.

Appliance issues!
Well to summarize our stay. The kitchen oven did not work, which we planned on using multiple days. The clothes dryer did not work after we washed our clothes. It ran but no drying. Would have been nice to discuss issues with owner and get a resolution or discount but he stated everything worked in the past. Owner just had no intentions of fixing anything or having someone look at appliances. Place is ok but if you need to cook or wash clothes, check out the other 100 places to stay. No permanent parking available, plan on a walk.
convenient location; comfortable for two ; very small kitchen
TV was confusing if you don't stream; toilet lid would not stay upright ; toilet paper holder fell apart ; plenty of house hold products ; no parking specifically for house....anywhere you could find ; good place to stay for short visit not so much for 2wks.
So frustratingOven door hanging off .. sheets with hairs on them ..Fridge that freezes your food .. garbage disposal that is so loud you have to cover your ears. This place is not how it is described. Terrible communication by hostMessaged her everyday to ask her to repair the oven no answer to me or when VRBO tryed to reach her.Filed a dispute with my bank and opened a case with VRBO
House was well lit & easy to find at night. Front & back yards are beautiful. No dedicated parking & street parking was full when we arrived at midnight. No problem finding parking at other times though. Entry straightforward & easy. There were enough cooking supplies to make a dinner, keurig coffee maker with K cups, water from fridge door & plenty of ice. Mattresses are firm foam. Front bedroom offers a closet with some hangers & back bedroom has larger, open closet storage with more hangers. Bathroom has large shower with rain head, handheld & body sprayers. Bathroom stocked with extra toilet paper, 2 wash cloths, 2 hand towels & 4 thin body towels for 3 people for 2 nights. WiFi decent, quiet area with what seemed to be lots of options for food & drink.
Nice house, management & household goods not so much
Nice clean house and good location. Cute, just like the pics. HOWEVER, there are no instructions at all for guests. This is a basic courtesy so guests can take out garbage or get on WIFI without contacting host. We had to message manager for all basic info. Broken oven...the door hinges are bent so door would not close plus it would not heat up. Kitchen was strangely stocked...3 random cinnamon Kpods for morning coffee, only one sad Christmas towel to dry hands or dishes (it's May, BTW), hide and seek for the knives (top shelf behind the coffee pods?). Bed sheets were a strange mystery fabric. No bedside lamps in either bedroom. Bathroom door handle falling off. Getting this home up to speed would be fairly easy for management. Start with replacing the stove, buying bedside lamps and a few towels for the kitchen. It's not a guest's job to send a to do list to the manager during their short holiday so we made do (and didn't cook our frozen pizza after seeing the oven was broken). Don't stay here if you have an alternative.
This place could inspire a move to San Diego! It's an updated, tidy house on a quiet neighborhood street with ample parking. My son loved the spa-inspired shower. While I appreciated the kitchen and outdoor patio. Trendy restaurants nearby and proximity to SeaWorld and San Diego Zoo make it an ideal vacation package.
