Villas Licuala, situé sur une route goudronnée à cinq minutes de Uvita, est une maison de trois chambres privées méticuleusement conçu. Situé sur trois acres de jardins botaniques paysagers qui offrent des vues panoramiques sur l'océan d'un côté et la forêt tropicale primaire de l'autre, cet endroit calme et luxuriante est totalement en harmonie avec son environnement. L'ancienne forêt tropicale de 500 millions de l'année a dicté la conception, l'utilisation des matériaux, des services et ambiance générale. Le résultat est un confort ultra-deluxe lacées avec la vie privée des clients au total dans une atmosphère discrète décontracté.
Les propriétaires informels et accueillir vivent sur le deuxième et le troisième étage de la maison de style pagode qui se trouve à 75 mètres au sud et sont sympathiques et plein d'informations.

Paradise in the jungle

I didn't realize/remember the common spaces were outdoors and I actually loved it so much. I felt totally immersed in the jungle. Just sitting and reading, I would see the toucans, parrots, basilisks and hear the howler monkeys. It was gorgeous. Rooms rooms were very comfortable.gorgeousMcomfortable

Beautiful property with all of the amenities you could ask for. The design & layout of the property sets the tone for relaxation and an atmosphere for enjoying family time. It is also great for multiple couples traveling together as each of the bedrooms provides complete privacy. The owners have thought of everything when it comes to this home. We felt right at home & enjoyed getting advice from Jason about excursions & dining. Everything was perfect!

Beautiful villa with great view

Beautiful villa, we very much enjoyed our stay (1 week) in december, with the family (4 pax). Bedrooms, kitchen, porch (!) and garden excellent. Close to Uvita, the Whale tale, fantastic restaurants and other nice spots around. We faced some minor hickups during our stay (checkin, pool, one of the airco's), but solved it together with the owner. WIFI is okay, but we strongly recommend an extra extender for full reach. Thanks for staying here, Jason, we surely recommend this villa, it is really a lovely place! :-)

What a beautiful and unique property. Our family of 4 (2 older teens) spent 4 nights. House has tons of stone work throughout with a healthy douse of plants and trees…makes for a very rustic yet classy home, exactly what it should be. 3 amazing bedrooms, all separate from each other. Comfortable beds, nice showers, bathrooms and excellent AC. The rest of the living space is outside, kitchen, multiple seating areas with tables, lounge chairs etc. Pretty lighting, exterior fans. Makes for a comfortable place to spend the evening or afternoon.Pool is nice, more for cooling off than playing in, great setting though. Classy lighting with fountains. And let’s not forget the view, fantastic.With a jungle setting one expects animals, we were not disappointed. Frequently saw toucans, macaws, parrots, hawks etc. Even had a family of monkeys wander down from the mountain, close enough I thought they were going to jump on the roof. Heard howlers every day. There is also an impressive private cobblestone path around the property. I never asked but I could just imagine the time and effort to meticulously build it.Jason the owner, was fabulous. Always responded quickly, no issues what so ever. Him and his wife live close by so if there was ever a problem, it would be dealt with ASAP. A big advantage when comes to a VRBO.This property should definitely be on your short list. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing!!

I loved this property! Jason is a great host, very helpful and communicative. Very quickly answers any questions you might have about the property or area. The location is perfect, so close to the beach and to town. Our children loved the pool (and that there was a Jesus Christ lizard that hung around the pool all day) Jason’s passion for botany means that the area is surrounded by cool plants and amazing jungle wildlife. We loved that most of the property utilized the outdoor space.

Beautiful House in need of some love and care

This mansion is a jewel of architecture and gardening. 2 master bedrooms are perfect but room 3 has not a queen size bed but only 140cm wide and the bathroom needs fixing. Not OK for larger European folks! The kitchen needs an upgrade and the owner knows that. The pool is perfect. Want to sleep next to the jungle?Book this!

Stunning!

This property surpassed our expectations. It’s unique design with outdoor living, pool, views… I could not ask for more! The jungle is lush and the property really beautifully planted. Jason is a gracious host, easygoing, there for whatever you need. We feel so fortunate to have been able to spend a week there. Ps. Prior reviews suggest the road is bad. We did not find that to be the case. We were able to drive the road without 4WD, just take your time.

The house is very comfortable, with the exception of the kitchen, which is too small for the number of people that can stay there. Unfortunately we had a problem with the internet service for most of the time of the stay, which seems to be an issue with the service provider and not the internal installation. Also, the air conditioning in one of the rooms was not working when we arrived, the owner of the property always tried to help us with the problem - for which we were very grateful because he was very attentive to the issue - but unfortunately, they were not able to fix it until the time of our departure. The house is very nice, with a lot of forest around that allows you to enjoy nature and, best of all, it has a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean.

Wonderful Home and Location

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home. Our arrival could have gone smoother as the house is situated a mile or so up a very steep, one lane, heavily rutted road. We arrived after dark and passed by the house a several times before getting assistance from someone at a local hotel. We made several attempts to call the property manager for help which went unanswered. YOU WILL NEED AN AWD VEHICLE TO GET TO THIS PROPERTY AND MANY OF THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS. The pictures don’t do it justice as the house, view and location were amazing. If you are considering renting this home, I advise you to get very specific directions from Jason before beginning your journey.

Fantastische buitenwoning!

Prachtig huis, met veel ruimte buitenshuis om te eten en te leven. En wat een uitzicht! Slaapkamers met eigen badkamer en airco zijn heerlijk. Jason woont in het huis naast deze woning en is erg aardig en behulpzaam. Veel wildlife bij het huis gezien. Een jesus christ lizard aan de rand van het zwembad, toekans, brulapen en een schorpioen...Heerlijk verblijf hier!

Atemberaubende Unterkunft

Wir haben einen ganzen Monat in dieser Unterkunft verbracht und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Es ist alles sehr sauber und in gutem Zustand. Die Küche hat alles was man braucht (Toaster, Blender, Kaffeemaschine, Gefrierfach, Grill, Pfannen etc). Das Haus ist gut erschlossen: In 5min ist man im Dorfkern von Uvita mit zahlreichen Restaurants und Geschäften und in 8min an der wunderschönen Playa Hermosa (auch für Kinder sehr gut geeignet). Das einzige was uns gestört hat ist, dass man in den Schlafzimmern kein Fenster aufmachen kann. Da wir nicht gerne mit Klimaanlage schlafen, waren die Nächte daher etwas stickig... Und man kann die Zimmer auch nicht verdunkeln, was uns aber nicht gestört hat, da wir sowieso immer zusammen mit der Natur aufgestanden sind (wie in Costa Rica so üblich :-)) Ach ja und das Beste: die wunderschönen Sonnenuntergänge und der Blick aufs Meer und in den Dschungel: traumhaft!

Blown away

Wow! A mansion in the sky. The drive is not for the faint-of-heart but you get used to it. We are definitely coming back with friends to this stunning estate. The bedrooms are each set up as their own suites but also spread out on the property. At first, our teenagers wondered if this was for real--they would each get their own unit. I know this would not work if the kids were younger--each of the 3 unites are far enough away that you can't see them or hear them. But how cool to meet in the open air kitchen in morning! And dine together in the grand Titanic-size dining room! And sprawl on the south lawn for some sun! Then dip in the pool! And a jungle trail in the back tops it all! Pictures can not capture the creative design of this unusual property. Uvita is a lovely location. We have been to many parts of Costa Rica--we enjoy Marino Ballena and nearby Playa Hermosa the most.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is one of the few ocean view lots that has a paved road and is close to town (less than 5 minutes). It is also the first lot in the development that is flanked by primary rain forest. This property is 5 minutes by car to the nearest beach called Hermosa.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The property is very close to town but definitely removed from the commercial center. Most ocean view homes for rent in Uvita require 4 wheel drive and involve rather long drives up steep slopes (at least 15 minutes up a hill for the majority of Uvita ocean view homes). This is one of the primary reasons Jason and Victoria bought here. Add in the primary forest laced with an ocean view and a paved road and there was really no other option that even remotely compared. There are also strong winds here that are unique and cool down the property by at least five degrees relative to the rest of Uvita.
