LOOK! Studio Condo in Downtown Hilo: Lagoon Views, Pool, AC

LOOK at this fun, bright condo in the heart of Hilo, Hawaii for your next stay! Our Studio condo features a full kitchenette, full bathroom, balcony with lagoon views, and a flexible bed configuration (one King OR two Twins - default is one King). Central air conditioning is included! This licensed vacation rental is available for two guests.

We provide a stocked kitchen including coffee maker, range oven, apartment sized refrigerator with small freezer, small microwave, toaster, and all the dishes and utensils you'd need for cooking small meals. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, toilet and sink. There is a small hall closet for hanging items. We supply pool towels as well as bath and bed linens. There is a shared laundry room (coin operated) on the same floor as the condo accessed by guests and residents only with a key.

Hilo Lagoon Centre condos are in the center of Hilo, Hawaii, an historic town with excellent restaurants, farmer's markets, art, culture, and live events to explore. We are also situated in walking distance to State and County buildings and provide a great space for work travelers. The condo building has a fabulous outdoor pool that you'll have access to, shared laundry room (coin operated) on the same floor as the unit, and 24 hour security. You'll have one parking space included in your stay rates.

Quiet hours are strictly 9pm to 8am and all House Rules be followed.

Host was welcoming and we love the view and location. The unit needed some better lighting and some work done on a rattling door frame. Maintenance responded right away but parts needed to be ordered. So it should be better soon. We really like the Hilo Lagoon as a whole!

The bed was very comfortable and we greatly appreciated that the unit had A/C and a bit of laundry detergent for us to use! We found the parking a little confusing and the rest of the building is a bit dated. The unit isn’t especially close to any restaurants either, and we weren’t a big fan of the lighting (especially in the bathroom) or the scent of the soap.

Great Stay in Hilo!

I stayed here for 4 nights while traveling to Hilo for work. The property was perfect for my needs. Everything was clean and in good condition and the condos are centrally located. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great little studio!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 4th time we've rented from Salt Water Vacations. The properties have all been well taken care of and they respond to any concerns promptly. This one has a very comfortable king size bed. A full bath with a good shower. And a full kitchen with a half size fridge. The view from the lanai of the park and ponds is serene, and you can even see part of Hilo Bay. The pool and grounds are nice as well. The area feels safe and there is 24 hour security and covered parking. We would definitely stay here again.

great studio in a perfect location

The studio was perfectly located within walking distance of the beach and even downtown Hilo. It had everything we wanted and a great view out over the green area between the building and the ocean. There was a very good coffee shop (Just Cruisin Coffee) just five minutes walk away and lots of restaurants all within walking distance (up to 30 minutes walk). Overall, an ideal location in Hilo

No question that the view is at the top of the list.

The condo itself is quite small and shows its age. It was very helpful to have the stores and the eating places within a short distance. I would probably not rent it again.

Like most of Hilo, Lagoon Center is not fancy, but it is well maintained and fully functional with great views and easy access to downtown Hilo. The condo itself is upgraded and accurately described in the advertising. Guests often tell us that it is a great option for travelers on a budget. We also represent one and two bedroom units in the building that are significantly larger than this studio unit. We know the importance of offering homes and condos in a wide array of sizes and prices so guests can pick the accommodations that will suit them best. Great little stufio

My husband and I stayed for three nights, the studio is small but perfect for just two people, especially when being outside more of the time. The area around the apartment didn’t feel super safe at night time, but we were fine walking. Close to downtown and all within easy driving to the rocky beaches

Stove, toaster and coffee maker is a place. Microwave may need a replacement soon. My husband, who is very picky about where he stays, said he would stay here again. It beats over paying at a hotel with no stove and dirty floors.

Hilo Stay

The apartment was super cute, my husband and I had a great stay! It is quite small but if you’re out exploring a majority of the time and not planning on spending time inside then it’s not a problem! The building itself is outdated and smells like smoke but the aparwntment is very clean and updated. It’s also conveniently located near many beaches/lagoons, and downtown Hilo. It’s easy to find also being the tallest building in town. Overall we enjoyed our stay!!

July 2023 Stay

This condo in Hilo is a great find! Affordable, neat as a pin, perfect location, and quiet. The kitchenette is tiny but well stocked for cooking or heating up restaurant leftovers. Nice bathroom. My hubs and I love staying in walking distance to restaurants (don’t miss local coffee at Just Cruisin). Bonus location for this place is the lagoons and park just outside! We loved having cocktails on the balcony overlooking the park before walking to dinner downtown. Nature and small city vibes is perfection to us. Check it out!

The unit was as advertised. It was quite small. The only real negative was a lack of comfortable places to sit other than the bed. Exchange some of the little tables with a small loveseat.

Perfect Downtown Hilo Getaway

Its proximity to the vibrant downtown area, offering many restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and farmers market, was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend HLC 520 for future guests.

Great spot!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute unit. It was located in a great part of town and made it easy to get to everything. The unit was just how the pictures showed. The two things I was specifically looking for were a king size bed and a pool. The bed held up to my expectation but the pool was disapointing.The pictures showed a descent pool but we were never able to go in. Why would a unit remodel a pool in the peak season of travel to the island? The pool was a letdown. The unit though was great!

Summer is actually the slowest time of year for travel here. I'm guessing they wanted to get it done before the peak season, which is from mid December through the end of March. The 'snowbirds' migrate here by the thousands every winter ;-) We hope you'll keep us in mind for future trips to Hilo! ADORABLE Affordable Studio with Views!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo in Hilo is a great find! Affordable, neat as a pin, perfect location, and quiet. The kitchenette is tiny but well stocked for cooking or heating up restaurant leftovers. Nice bathroom. My hubs and I love staying in walking distance to restaurants (don’t miss local coffee at Just Cruisin). Bonus location for this place is the lagoons and park just outside! We loved having cocktails on the balcony overlooking the park before walking to dinner downtown. Nature and small city vibes is perfection to us. Check it out!

Great sleep, not generously appointed

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. We got the best sleep of our vacation in this space. The only complaint we had is that the space was not generously appointed at all - all that was provided for our first shower was the tiniest bottle of shampoo and the tiniest bar of soap I've ever seen - definitely not enough for two people. My main comment for the property management company is that this may not be the place to save money, as it has a real impact on (tired, traveling) customers and it's such a minimal expense to resolve it.

Mahalo for your review, Shevon. We're sorry that the complimentary supplies did not meet your expectations. We do spell out quite clearly in our welcome letter exactly what is provided. Every guest has their own unique preferences when it comes to toiletries and whatnot. We focus our time and energy on providing sparkling clean and exceptionally well maintained accommodations, and allow guests to supply themselves when they run out of the items we provide. We do have a connection with a concierge service that specializes in shopping for guests ahead of their arrival.
