Welcome to our Mountain Music townhome, located just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. We chose this place for its proximity to outdoor fun and stunning mountain views. Here's what you'll find nearby in a minute:
- Wildlife like elk, deer, and the Marys Lake Road Herd of Wild Turkeys.
- Marys Lake, perfect for fishing or relaxing on the beach.
- The Bird's Nest, offering fantastic coffee and wood-fired pizzas.
- Bird and Jim, a renowned restaurant serving excellent cocktails, wine, and food.
- The Country Supermarket, where you can grab delicious sandwiches for your National Park adventure.
Within a four or five-minute drive, you'll reach the Rocky Mountain National Park Visitor Center, Beaver Meadows Entry Station, and downtown Estes Park.
If you prefer to stay at home, cozy up by the fireplace or enjoy a BBQ on the patio. The townhome features a 55" smart TV for movie nights, a fully stocked kitchen for culinary endeavors, a garage game room and an upstairs playroom for the kids.

LIVING, DINING & COOKING
Kitchen - The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking -- an oven, blender, pots, pans, wine glasses, utensils and so much more.
Living/Dining Area - The downstairs has an open floor plan to encourage socializing. The living room has a big TV and a fireplace, and it attaches to the kitchen and dining area. Just off the dining area is a small patio with outdoor seating, a table and a BBQ.
Entertainment - Our living room has a 55" smart TV and there's an upstairs playroom for children to enjoy imaginative play. The garage is going through a conversion to a game room and currently has a ping pong table.

Mountain Music is a cute family-friendly retreat for nature lovers visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. It's perfectly located in a small residential neighborhood in a valley between Giant Track Mountain and the Prospect Mountain Open Space. The best part? Giant Track Mountain is actually a part of Rocky Mountain National Park, ensuring an extra dose of natural beauty right at your doorstep.
Speaking of Prospect Mountain is a large open space in the middle of the Estes Valley that serves as a wildlife corridor. It's habitat for elk, turkeys, birds of prey, coyotes, and even bobcat. They are often seen walking through our yard.
For anglers, Marys Lake is about 2 minutes up the road. This idyllic spot provides the perfect setting to cast your fishing line and reel in a sense of tranquility.
And when your appetite starts calling, fret not! A minute or two down the road is a great local supermarket, the renowned Bird and Jim restaurant, and the Bird's Nest, offering wood fired pizzas and coffee.
To top it all off, our sanctuary boasts unbeatable proximity to the entry station of Rocky Mountain National Park. It's a quick and gorgeous five-minute drive.
A complimentary summertime shuttle bus operates in Estes Park, offering convenient transportation throughout the area, including the National Park. To catch this bus, make your way to either Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, located near the Country Supermarket). These stops are approximately a 15-minute walk away or a quick one-minute drive.
NO SMOKING, NO FIRES
My home was about a mile away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago, so we are a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits (now illegal in Estes Park's vacation homes). Charcoal BBQs are banned; gas ones like ours are allowed.
ROAD CONDITIONS
Estes has a great plow team and our driveway will also be plowed during storms, but if there's a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
NONPAYING GUESTS
Insurance forbids nonpaying/non-registered guests on the property.
AIR CONDITIONER
Like nearly every other home in town, thereâs no A/C. Thankfully mountain air blows down from the high peaks and will cool down the place quickly in the evenings if you open the windows and turn on the fans.
BEARS
Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area often and can break in!

+ Quiet hours from 9pm to 8am.
+ You're renting a townhome with a shared wall; you may have neighbors
