Two Bedroom Cabin in the Heart of Manistee Forest #2
Our Rainbow Cabin is located in the middle of the Manistee National Forest, minutes from Blue Ribbon Streams, Steelhead and Salmon fishing as well as many other species. Also a few miles from Caberfae and Crystal Mountain. Hiking, kayaking, snowmobiling trails are minutes away as well. We have a private trout pond and fully stocked fly and tackle shop. Come stay with us in peace and quiet, as the cabins are set back in the woods. Take the trails up to the trout pond or shop!
The place was amazing the only issue we saw was that it states in the listing that there is a stocked pond with trout. There is but you canât fish it. The pond was one of the things that drew us to the place so it was very misleading. Other than that it was very clean and located exactly where we needed it to be
This location was great for our fishing. It reminded me more of a lodge style accommodations. Communication with property owners was not the best, but they did eventually answer questions. I might consider staying here again if I had to.
Need more information when booking & prior to stay
Property was nice and secluded but SO secluded we spent over an hour trying to find it. Hostess gave no contact information as to a phone number, we had to knock on neighbors doors after dark to try and locate cabin. Luckily they answered and didnât shoot us! Property is at the corner of M-55 and Seaman Road behind Manistee River Lodge. Request a map from hostess. Otherwise stay was pleasant, quiet and clean.
The property was very nice and exceeded our expectations. I was a tad bit disappointed that it wasn't located further into the woods but the very cute cabin made up for it.
My only complaint is that it was difficult to get my questions answered via chat on the app. I was quite frustrated with the generalized responses and I had to Google the place and call to get the details that I was asking.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay there again! :)
Nice area but listing is a bit misleading. Cabins are split so if there is anyone staying in the other side, you'll definitely hear them. The pond is catvh and release with their equipment only. Cabin itself was fairly clean but its small. If your trip gets rained out, itll be a cramped cabin unless there are 2 of you. We were not given instructions as far as check inso we had to call when we were close. Overall, good place if you have few people and dont plan spend a lot of time in the cabin.
The cabin was great. Updated and everything was clean. It was nice to have a full kitchen with a coffee pot.
The issue we had was finding the cabin. GPS took me to the correct area but the host had emailed me that our cabin was #2and that there would be a key under the mat. There was a key and upon opening it you could se that someone was occupying the cabin. The tv was on and there was food on the table etc. We drove around and asked at a local store and they said there are a lot of cabins around here. So I found Chelseaâs contact info and let her know. We drove back to the cabin area. After 1/2 hour she called me and said, what are you sitting outside in your car for? I let her know that we used the key to cabin # 2 as directed but that it was occupied. She simply said, I moved you to cabin four which is an upgrade and the key is on the table inside. She didnât apologize for the wasted time( one hour). The pictures that she had sent with cabin 2 were not cabin 2 but four. She just needs to be more accurate with details. There is also a sign on the door saying they offer a continental breakfast in the community room but there was nothing going on in there. The info should be updated. Other than that, the place was very nice and up to date.
