It was great! The home was beautiful! And so clean, spacious, and comfortable! Beds were super comfy and there were no shortage of linens or towels which I always appreciate in a rental! Area is nice and hosts were super easy! Thanks!
We really wanted to like this home. I had to VRBO message the host twice and then call twice (while in route) before receiving a text - âHi who is this?â I could not leave voicemail because the voicemail box was full. We received the code, via text, as we arrived at the home. Parking is horrible. Extremely narrow street with no driveway. The house is nicely painted, but that is foreshadowed by location. The house next door is abandoned. Heavy urban environments can be deceiving, so we went inside. The house deco was great, but the home has a clear problem with moisture. There was a pretty strong smell that was evident upon entering. We couldnât pinpoint the source of the mildrew-ish type smell. The second floor was noticeably 15 to 20° warmer. The listing was advertised as four bdrms . It is only three bdrms with one bathroom on the second flr. There is a sink and toilet on the first floor. Supposedly there was a bed in the fourth âbedroom,â which housed a couch, elliptical and some type of fitness equipment â but even if the couch folded out, Iâm not sure how it would fit. The âroomâ was super tiny. I texted the owner and the response was disappointing. I was not entitled to a refund of any portion of the $428 I spent. I did communicate my concerns regarding the house and safety. Apparently, the neighborhood is a âblock by blockâ area according to the owner. We stayed for approximately 30 mins and decided we couldnât stay. Then booked a hotel room in a safer area.
