Wow Maria.... I apologize for not staying up past 10:15pm. to respond to "I need assistance" text at 11 :05 PM. I also apologize for giving you specific verbal instructions plus having a 2 step instruction note above the on demand water heater for the tub in addition to the 5 gal shower water heater. But it worked as it was just "hard to warm up" Step one given:put hose in tub and turn blue handle 2 turns counterclockwise. 2) when gone turn handle off and remove hose, (very simple, I thought) Refrigerator was clean, or you would have said so,but you just didnt like the smell of our cleaner used as you saw us cleaning it as you arrived 20 min early..... And just maybe Everything else was just fine so therefore you gave the Pinecone Treehouse a 1 star. I should mention that 1 pillow case is missing and a brand new lg. 3 wick scented candle is GONE. We hope future renters can see the character displayed here and can overlook this review.

Informing all future Glampers of the less desirable "nature" of Glamping: insects: we do spray natural Orange Oil, called ORANGE GUARD, on base boards, entrance threshold, wet areas, as part of cleaning THE DAY of check-in. We regret hearing the issue of insects inside the treehouse. We hope you found the provided insect spray and used it, after which we would have expected a text or email, for further help. But no responce was recieved when we talked during and near end of the stay. A treehouse is attached to a tree where the insects can collect and in the spirit of Glamping, might be considered part of a typical stay in nature. The complaint of size is a matter of perception as we do NOT use wide-angle lens to make the 1 room appear bigger so why did it appear smaller... probably your perception and expectation which is not with the Pictures fault. we do however offer pics from many angles to help you determine what you will actually see and expect, Further glamping with no chance of bugs believe is only during the middle of winter. As for total value that is always subjective with or without insects. HOWEVER WE DO OFFER THE MOST OUTDOOR FREE AMENITIES OF ANY KNOW TREEHOUSE RENTAL IN TEXAS, ....lake swimming,fishing, nature walk along 500 ft of shoreline, DOGS ALWAYS WELCOME, boat launch, games: pickleball, basketball goals 8ft and 10ft, "bean bag toss", a soaking tub./ small 5ft pool... Please compare these entertainment options with all the treehouse competition!

It's amazing what generosity and kindness gets you. Our side of the story = Guest books treehouse, then decides he wants to cancel because the bathroom is in the same area as the bed. He realizes there is no refund, yet we offer him another treehouse option out of generosity and this is what happens. A nasty review and emotional exaggeration. Primitive camping would not provide an a/c, a fridge, or a bed. The roof does provide shelter from the rain and it is cleaned thoroughly before every rental. We do strive to please our customers and we do hope every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay in our treehouse.

Jessica has several dislikes.... and the ONLY one I can apologize for is the bug issue. We use natural orange oil pesticide and probably doesn't work as well as legal poisons. Fact, there are Very few bugs inside or outside in the "dead" of winter at 40 degrees... could she be exaggerating... would any body stay in bed with.... "large cockroaches crawling all over the sleeping area/bed" Everything else is an emotional exaggeration or an outright fabrication maybe from not knowing of the physical presence of the sliding door wood stop lock, or the Separate on-demand gas water heater with instructions that has a 3 ft. discharge hose INTO the tube, as she chose to use shower 5 gal electric heater. Also no mention of the 8500 btc working heater and extra electric blanket, why? Did she even see or use them? We turn on all lighting to help guests see and enjoy all the amenities. Her first complaint is that this Treehouse is not Luxury, in her opinion, but I know of No other " house build to a tree" in the entire STATE that has our amenities.and wooded lake front setting. (( To all potential guests: you be the judge after a quick web search))

Sorry your stay was less than expected. We have no control over google maps and had you tried texting you may have been able to find us sooner. We have resolved the lock issue and now have a keyed entrance. The tube in the tub provides hot water from an on demand hot water heater which is provided with instructions. The printed curtains are not gauzy and do provide privacy for your bath and toilet needs. We do strive to please our guests and make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
