Appart exceptionnel. Très bien situé et parfait pour 6 personnes. Great pad, nicely located.
Superb location
Located in the heart of the St. Germaine district, this large property is a short walk or easy metro ride to many attractions and is surrounded by fine shops and restaurants. You have to be willing to climb several flights or stairs, but we found that to be no problem. Three separate sleeping areas, two full baths, and air conditioning in both bedrooms make this a great option. We would surely stay here again on a future Paris trip.
Short but sweet
We loved everything about the property except the stairs. They are a killer for older people like us. Our Gkids left before us and it was difficult leaving the premises with our baggage. Loved the area.
Wonderful apartment! Great location and accommodations.
We had an amazing 10 days in Veronique’s Paris apartment! Brigitte, the apartment manager, met us there when we arrived from the airport to show us around the very clean and spacious space. Our family of 5 had plenty of room to spread out with the 2 bedrooms, Murphy bed in the living room, large pull-out couch, and an extra rolling twin bed. There was lots of storage for suitcases and clothes. The two bathrooms were spacious and had lots of space for toiletries. Veronique had large bottles of bath soap and shampoo for guests to use, which was a very nice touch! There were plenty of towels as well. If you are used to using a wash cloth, there weren’t any, so bring your own if you can’t live without. I understand this is just a normal thing in Europe, so it’s not a negative comment; just an FYI.
The upstairs toilet is off of a small landing half way up the stairs. Once you get used to it, it’s fine. We did keep a light on at night so there weren’t any accidents getting there in the middle of the night.
We used the washer and dryer daily and they worked great. The washer is quite small, so be aware of that. If you intend on washing clothes, do it frequently because you won’t get many items in there; especially if they are bulky.
The location is fantastic! It felt very safe. We were close to 3 metro stops and walked to many sites including the Musée D’Orsay, Louvre, and Sainte Chappelle, among others. There were lots of great restaurants, patisseries, and retail stores close by. There is a monoprix near if you want to grab food to have meals at home. We visited a bar down the street for some adult time, too. The neighborhood was relatively quiet. Some road noise and loud voices at night at times (around 11 or 12) with the windows open, but it’s a city and expected. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very nice to have as it did get quite hot for a few days of our stay.
It is on the top floors of the building and is a hike, but we knew that when we rented it. We are all able-bodied and didn’t have any trouble. We kept our suitcases on the lighter side to make that part easier.
If we return to the lovely city of Paris, we would definitely like to stay here again!
Fabulous Location, But not for those with Accessibility Issues
Absolutely a fabulous location near everything.
Many thanks to Brigitte (the property manager) for giving us a tour of the apartment and helping us get settled in.
The main bedroom and smaller second bedroom both had air-condition which was greatly welcomed in mid-July summer heat. The main floor however only had multiple fans which made it tolerable, but not as nice and air-conditioning. The main floor also has a Murphy bed that we did not utilize. If the apartment had an air-conditioner on the main floor it would be 5-stars all day long and twice on Sunday
The apartment is on the fourth floor with a winding stair case (no elevator-old world charm) which is fine, but would be a great challenge for small children and those with accessibility issues.
The nightly cost was similar to a Paris hotel room, but it was so much better than a hotel as we had an abundance of space with a kitchen and laundry machines.
Can't say enough about how great the location, You can walk to all the attraction or Uber for around 7 euros.
Excellent location
The apartment is as spacious as described and well kept. Excellent shops, boutiques, cafés and a very nice food store within minutes walking. After all, this is Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Be aware, though, that going up four flights of stairs requires good form. Just a bit overpriced on account of that but overall good experience.
