Location was in a quiet, safe neighborhood approximately 25 minutes walk from downtown Salem. Not having to deal with the headache of downtown parking in October is a plus ()! Unit was clean overall, however a couple towels had holes in them and the shower curtain liner needed to be cleaned or replaced. Communication with the host was very easy and fast, as was the check in/check out process. I would absolutely stay here again for a return trip to Salem in the future!

The place was clean and there plenty of space. The walking distance to downtown Salem wasnt bad and it was nice to be able to leave our vehicle sit. The worst thing about this place was the noise coming from the upstairs unit. This is a duplex with each level being a full unit. That place is also rented out. They were extremely loud walking around for all hours of the night. Things being dropped, heavy walking, and banging. We stayed 4 nights and all but one night was just miserable trying to stay asleep. I did email the host but all did was acknowledge the complaint. Sleep was very important so that we could enjoy all the things Salem had to offer. Unfortunately it was very lacking. I will not stay at this Vrbo again. If you value, your rest I would recommend not staying here.

The house had plenty of space and was very clean. The owners were wonderful and responded to messages very quickly. Very easy check in. This property is in a beautiful Salem neighborhood and very close walking distance to downtown Salem. It was perfect !

The place was not as described. There was live chickens and a full garden outback so you had no use of the outside at all. They had mice running through the house which we discovered on our last night there and the tenants on the second floor above us whom I take breather the owners or took care of the property. What every night to the point that we could hear them moving furniture or whatever screaming and yelling constantly the most disruptive vacation I have ever had

We were a little confused by the parking at first, but were able to walk to downtown Salem easily. Everything was very clean and the neighborhood was quiet.

The property was spacious and comfortable. The owners came over quickly when we had a problem. There were some things definitely missing from the property that should be there for the price we paid. Here is a list: toaster, pairing knife, scissors, glassware...wine glasses not plastic ware, paper products...kleenex, napkins, paper towel, soft toilet paper (not industrial tp or paper towel). Overall had a nice experience, but definitely missing some amenities.

It was easy to check in, host was polite and very responsive, i did a walk through before we entered to make sure all was well and other than minor things like broken blinds and the loud stomping/walking from upstairs the place was as described. It was clean comfortable, the yard was beautiful with chickens and vegetables growing. The walk from there to the main attractions wasnt a bad one. The parking getting in was a bit scary lol kinda snug plus we were in a full size nissan pathfinder but not terrible. Check in and out was easy, the place was nicely furnished very cold AC. We will definitely look to rent again. No disappointments

Loved it All

Everything was exactly as pictured! I loved the fact that in the middle of the city, they have utilized their property to make it country like with a garden and chickens. It made me feel home as I live in the country.Really will stay again !

Salem Stay

It was overall a good stay. The house is close to main shopping areas. We did however run out of bleach and there was no dishwasher detergent so we washed most of the dishes by hand. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable!

Great Choice

We were very have with the property. It was so close to everything in Salem. We were able to park our car and walk everywhere! Also close to the train to head to Boston too. After having fun all day the place was large and comfortable to unwind! We would stay here again for sure :)

Location was great for going to Salem. Actually property needed to be cleaned thoroughly. Bathroom was cluttered with a ton of left behind shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Tape and left behind streamers from the past guests. Definitely questionable cleaning. But it was over all a good fit for us.

Poor communication and screaming tenants

The instruction on how to access keys were lacking. With this confusion, it took 2 calls and 1 text to get manager to respond. The bathroom had hairs from previous clients on bathroom sink and in shower. Cobwebs in one of the bedrooms in corners of ceiling. The people on top unit were having a screaming fight. This was the lady who finally came down and helped us in. Backyard was in disarray and not what was depicted in pictures on site.

Even better than we expected!

Such a cute comfortable apartment this is. There are 3 stories to the house with this unit being the ground floor. It certainly has all the comforts you could wish for, great beds and linens, spacious rooms, and easy access (make sure you get a good straight on approach to the driveway). The big bonus is the backyard space. Plenty of seating around a firepit supplied with wood, the happy chickens in their secure pen, and the most fabulous well tended vegetable garden. It feels as if you're on a little farm and belies the fact that you're so close to the action in Salem. The neighborhood is lovely with a few walkable stores and restaurants. We very much enjoyed our time staying here!

Great location.

The location of the property is perfect. Sadly the cleanliness was not great
.the beds had old eyelashes in them and fuzz balls. The shower had mold around the tub and old bars of soap and empty bottles of shampoo. Also we were on the bottom floor, and with such an old home you could hear a ton of movement upstairs.

Good location

Property is in a good location. Beds were very comfortable. The floors are paper thin and we could hear the people on 2nd story sneeze and cough. They were pretty loud until late so we did have trouble sleeping on two nights. Numerous blinds are broken but the blinds in bathroom are broken in a spot that leaves no privacy if using restroom. We hung up a towel over the blinds to feel comfortable. The sink and shower were not cleaned great as there was hair on both when we arrived. I think overall the cleaning needdd to be much better. There was lipstick on a coffee cup on counter that wiped right off so it wasn’t stained. Food was under kitchen table. I am picky about cleanliness but I think some big things were missed or need to be fixed.

Used rental to visit Salem with teens. It was close enough to walk to attractions.Not plush but served our purpose. Confortable beds.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay with 5 adults. Some minor things included slow drain in the bathroom, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and limited kitchen equipment. There are chickens in the backyard which was unexpected and the fire pit didn’t look as welcoming in the picture.

Worst experience - Host not Accountable

Check in was at 2:00pm - Arrived at 6:30. Place was dirty - all rooms unmade, dirty dishes, food in refrigerator, garbage, bathroom dirty with dirty towels in hamper. No clean linens or towels anywhere. Called host - had cleaning people come - they came with nothing and spent about 1/2 hour in the apartment. Dirty towels were folded and put back on shelves, dirty sheets and comforters were moved to different rooms and beds made with them, trash was taken out but no liners, refrigerator full and dirty dishes remained. Washer and dryer on property, however sheets and towels were not washed, as there was not enough time nor did they look, smell clean (nor warm from dryer). Cleaners did not speak english so we could not converse with them, and were the folks that were out cleaning the chicken coup. We stayed on property as they cleaned. Missed reservations. Pictures in the add of the outside is not even close. Large chicken coup in small back yard, which lots of old, items hanging around. Fire pit not there as in photos. Inside look close to pictures. Reached out to host several times, as we were not comfortable staying due to the uncleanliness and not willing to sleep and wash with dirty linens and towels. He stopped responding after 7:30 when the cleaning people left. And has not responded since. This was such a disappointment and unprofessional.
