Other Things to Note: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT IN THE PROPERTY AFTER YOU CHECK OUT. MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK ALL AREAS PRIOR TO LEAVING THE PROPERTY TO CONFIRM YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS.
Arrived at night and found the place to smell of a strong cleaner odor, the living room chair was wet, the kitchen cabinets were water stained, the walls were damaged, the blinds broken, holes in the. screen, etc.As noted in the title, I found a cockroach in the morning right on the door frame and then more under the refrigerator. They clearly have been there for a while. Not a safe place for children at all and if one nests in your luggage, then you too can enjoy them in your home. We contacted VRBO and the owner, then left right away. This listing is a third party and therefore outside of VRBO funds/guarantees making a refund very difficult. Just plain disgusting and awful.
For the price, especially if you have a group, you canât beat it in this fantastic location. Quiet and convenient â youâve got a Schnukâs/CVS in walking distance, and youâre just off Kingshighway near Tower Grove park. Itâs a great, comfortable space. Well-kept, and exceptional value. Owner is responsive. Absolutely no complaints. Cute and comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay.
Spent 11 nights with family. Couple of minutes walk from Tower Grove Park and Schnuks supermarket. Fast internet. Kitchen had items needed to cook meals. Place is safe. Although the apartment is on the older side, for the price you pay to stay in the area, it is definitely more affordable than most places around the park. Host provided new dish washing sponges, dish washing soap, laundry pods, garbage bags, coffee filter as well as sugar and creamer which is a plus. Would stay again if back in the area.
Our family stayed here when my grandbaby was born 6 weeks early and had to be in the NICU for close to a month. We started with a week reservation and Dan was so helpful when we needed to extend it a couple more weeks. And the location is less than 10 minutes from Barnes. It was clean and had all the little household things you need while away from home. Thank you Dan for giving my family a quiet, relaxing place to stay. We truly appreciate your kindness
Good location but lacking attention to important details
I was reluctant to write a review because, being my 1st VRBO stay, I felt guilted by the request for a five-star review so as not to hurt their business. As others said, this is a great location & looked like the photos. Wifi worked great, and we liked having Hulu. Separate rooms were nice.
We had issues. This is not a single owner property, so I was confused as to who was really my host. I responded to the request to inform them of any problems, and they sent someone out the next day, but problems were not resolved. I believe they need to change who is maintaining the property.
First problem was the cleanliness of the kitchen. A cleaning fee should mean a clean property. There were prints and drips on all the stainless items. After the person came out, little was cleaned, even though we left a detailed list and sent photos to the management. There weren't cleaning supplies for guests to clean up after themselves.
Kitchen lacked some basics, pots but no skillet and only 1 spoon. They did bring 4 tablespoons and a small fry pan. There was coffee (my sister said it was good), creamers, and filters, but no salt or pepper.
The large vent over the stairs was caked in dust. The cleaner brushed it off, leaving dust on the stairs and broom.
Overhead fans came on with lights and couldn't be turned off. We had to ask for lightbulbs.
The bunk bed was uncomfortable for an adult.
The back door deadbolt did not work.
I hope management will respond to say things have been remedied.
